"The staff members at Mon Abri are very wonderful, very nice, very kind, and very compassionate. My room is beautiful and it overlooks the lake. We make our own food. They have an exercise room, a clubhouse, and a safe room to protect you against tornados. They have activities outside, they go for seniors dinners, they have an exercise room, and they have people come in and do chair yoga and different exercises at no cost. My wife's birthday is coming up in July and we reserved the clubhouse for a party there (it didn't cost anything extra at all). It's in a nice area, and it's a nice, beautiful compound, and they're building another extension. They have get-togethers, card games, game nights, and dancing over at the senior citizen place, which is about a mile away."

"The Veraden was very clean. The tour was very informative. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice. The only drawback is they're a little bit more expensive than what I can afford. Other than that, it was very nice and very clean. There was no odor. The service seemed very well. They were very friendly and very helpful. The dining area was very clean. Everything was very clean. At the time we were there, they were getting ready to serve dinner, and people were coming down, and all seemed very happy and very friendly with the service they were getting."

"I am now living here. It is really good. I get all my meals. They have good food service and good transportation to medical appointments. We have washers and dryers in our apartments. We have social activities. Every month, we have a birthday party celebrating all the birthdays in the month. We have entertainers that come in. We have trivia challenges and wheel of fortune, on Mondays we have quarter bingo, and on Thursdays it is bingo for prizes. The only thing that they need to do is to run their transportations on Sunday so people can go to church, but there is a Baptist minister that comes in. They have security cameras here."

"I toured Sooner Station University North Park. I've been watching it being built. I thought it was student housing because it said Sooner Station. I thought it was student housing until they put up a sign that it was a senior facility. I was like OK. I toured the place, and it being brand new, I walked in and just saw cleanliness. I walked around and saw how nice the place was. It was another nice place to go to. The staff was good. She was at the front desk and she showed me around, because she stayed at the front desk, but she did know what was going on there. She took me around all over and it was nice."

"We looked at Spanish Cove Retirement Village. We were considering it, but I don't think it's for us. One thing we have to get used to would be the cramped spaces. It would be quite a transition. It would just take some getting used to, and that's not a complaint, it's just an observation. The apartments alone like maybe 700 to 800 square feet. They were friendly, nice, and cooperative. The tour was good. The staff was very friendly. Her knowledge of the product, how it worked, and logistics of it were well explained to us. She did a nice job there. They have it all. They have a pool, a small library, a gathering place, and entertainment at times. They have an indoor pool, so you can do it year-round."

"Several years ago I was looking for an apt as close as i could to family. I found this lovely 62+ apt community. I wasn't quite 62 and put my name on the list and came back after turning 62..now, almost 3 year's later, im still enjoying my time here. 2 bedrooms 2 baths..Plenty of room to move around, Pantry in the kitchen, a place for a washer and dryer. Hudgens bedrooms and baths.. Upstairs has plenty of room for furniture and downstairs has places for furniture and to have plants, flowers or what ever you wish. A safe community, tucked in a neighborhood.. Home My home."

"I toured Belmont Cove. The thing I liked least about it was the backyard, which was pretty much nonexistent, and I had a 100 pound dog that I would not do that to. The rest of the place is very nice and very open. I really liked that. The staff made themselves available, and that's about it. I toured it independently. There were three apartments we got to look out for. I know that they had a big clubhouse, but they said they had someone come in and do their hair and nails and stuff like that."

"We have a facility for my mother called Southern Plaza Retirement and the deposit has been put down in the independent care unit. They're getting a unit ready for occupancy this coming June. The facility was well kept and well organized. The staff was very knowledgeable and very caring. If one needed an additional level of care like assisted living or memory care, they had all three services. It was located in the Town of Bethany, which is a small town. It was within a block or two of the church that my mother attends. The pricing was competitive with other similar services and other facilities. It had covered parking and it wasn't far from my mother's sister and it's not far also from where we live here in Norman. Those were the major points. They have one- and two-bedroom units. The one-bedroom unit was satisfactory for her. They provided dining, so they had food preparation and housekeeping and an array of social activities that she could partake in. They have qualified staff if a medical need would arise. It ministered to her natural needs, emotional needs, social needs, and even spiritual needs. They have ministers that come in and minister if she would elect to attend. They are a top-notch quality facility. Considering the amenities, the quality of construction, and the condition of that, they do a top job. The complex spans a block. It just depends upon which entrance you take to come into the facility. It's also run by the Nazarene College, so the people that are managing it have a spiritual orientation. They understand that a person isn't just a warm body roaming the halls. They have a heart and they have an inner person which also needs ministry. They have that dimension because they're ministry-oriented. It's not just commercially oriented. They're not just trying to make a profit, although they have to make a profit. They have memory, assisted and independent, and they have different administrators for each level. We not only took a tour with Lisa in the independent living, but we took a tour also with Debbie in the assisted living because at that time, it appeared that mom might be moving in with her husband."

"I visited Baptist Village of Oklahoma City's assisted living for my parents. My mom has been a Southern Baptist all her life and they have that church in the building that she can go to. She could just walk down the hall. I like that all of the bills and all of the charged things are included so there are no additional charges for treatments or whatever else. It's all just in one bill so that's just more convenient. The staff were great. The facilities looked clean and the structure looked fine. Nothing looked like it had issues. I would say the rooms are comparable to the other facilities we saw online. The one that we're getting is 543 square feet and it's a 1-bedroom. The place's atmosphere seemed very loving and caring to me."

"I have lived here for several years .The first couple everyone hated it here .However things change and my home has began evolving into a place I'm happy to live at .The attitude of the management towards the residents has improved so much .The positive energy is beginning to heal hearts and quiet discontentment.and I expect this change to continue to improve."

"Saint Ann Retirement Center was wonderful, it's very very high quality. It's fantastic and it has a whole scale, although for skilled nursing you go into a different facility with them. I saw their assisted living and independent living, and both of them were good. They're a little more segregated than the other place I saw, but in any case, it's a beautiful facility and it's just wonderful. They were very, very comparable there especially compared to many other places I've visited around town. There were still staff members that were there when 5-6 years ago, so they've got a long-time dedicated staff. They're very fine people. It's very top quality, very clean, very orderly, and the people are well attended. They have little patio areas where you can plant flowers and be outside, and that's a shared area. The access to the outside is controlled."

"Hefner Mansions is wonderful. It is a very convenient distance from my house; it is only ten minutes from where I live. The facilities are just wonderful. It has a new concept. The room is wonderful and perfect. We have a caregiver with her, and my mother is able to fit everything she wants to bring and she still has room. All rooms are accessible from the outside and inside. The have like wings all the way around. It is just perfect. They are all very well done. It is independent, but they have bells in every room. It is like a basic apartment with all the amenities. It is all on the ground level, and it is very nice. They have a cafeteria and an exercise room. For people who have decent retirement, it is affordable. "

"Whispering Creek is open and has lots of room. I like the neighbors, it's quiet, and they have a nice area to walk or run around. You can go out to dinner with a group and play cards and games like croquet. The staff is extremely helpful. I've only had a few work orders, and they handle them the next day. They had a Veterans dinner and a Memorial Day dinner, which were both very nice. I'm very pleased with where I'm at."

"My friend is in Paradise Square. The place is very nice. We chose it because it is convenient. However, they do not really have anything for retirees. It is just a place to live more or less. They have a clubhouse that they can use which is nice, but as far as activities and anything, there are none here at this place. They have small apartments with attached garage -- which is very nice -- and they are very roomy. They take care of their own yards, which is very nice. I will recommend them to others. "
