"The Village at Oakwood looked clean. The manager was very nice and helpful. Each person had their own room. They offered a wide menu. They had some other services, like they had someone who would come in once a week and do hair. The place looked nice and clean. Everything was painted. Everything seemed to be well taken care of. The dining room was very nice. There were a lot of tables there, and because the tenants had walkers and wheelchairs, there was room for them to get around. It looked very nice."

"I was impressed with Morada Southridge. I think we're going to send my father to that one. The residents all seemed happy. The staff introduced themselves and asked if I had any questions for them. It was just a very nice, very well put-together facility. It was very clean and the way it was set out, if he wanders at night, he only has a square to go around. The rooms were very well put together and laid out nicely. The bathrooms were big enough and had handicap grab bars in them. They all had a little refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffeemaker in each room. I was told that they have beverages and snacks at all times of the day."

"I toured The Harrison of Oklahoma City. It was one of the newest facilities. It had larger rooms, and I was more impressed with it. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and gave a very good tour, and all the information that I was looking for. And they gave me folders with information and a price range. They include three meals a day."

"The Legend of Edmond was bright and cheerful. I looked at their assisted living for my mom. It has lots of activities and good care. The negative would probably be that it's a little on the pricier side. During the tour, they gave me a dessert, and it was very good. There were all kinds of activity rooms, work facilities, facilities for physical therapy, a library, and lots of little places to sit and visit. It's just very well laid out."

"We visited Village on the Park - Oklahoma City, and my father will be moving to their independent living. We chose it because all the residents that we saw were clearly happy. A couple of the places that we went to, when we toured around, and the tour guide would talk to the residents, they were definitely not happy, and it was pretty clear that she was just talking to them during the tour. Here, the residents were happy and liked being there. They liked the lady giving the tour, and they knew her, so it was clear that they were being well taken care of. The facility was clean and was in good repair. You could tell it was maintained. It looked nice and didn't look run-down. It looks up-to-date. My father will have a nice two-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, a living room, and an outside patio. We did not try their food, but everybody that we talked to about it said it was good. The menu was also nice, and there were choices. It was definitely the best one we saw, overall."

"I toured Legend at Rivendell. They have a separate unit and building for the memory care from the regular care unit. I think that would probably be good. The rooms were much smaller, and it seemed like nearly all the doors were open. They like to let their patients come and go."

"Brookdale Edmond Danforth is an excellent facility. I toured their assisted living. It has a very caring staff, and the residents seemed engaged. It is also a great place for people with mobility issues. I don't have anything negative to say about them."

"The thing that drew us to visit and choose Victorian Estates was the size of the facility. Small number of residents, and the Staff was awesome. She was the one who chose this place to live. But my brother and I were with her and was just as blown away the friendliness of everyone. My mother has been there for 2 years now. She is very independent but she loves her room with court yard access. She loves flowers and birds, so my family have helped her to make her gardens her own. Most of all they allowed her to bring her small dog to continue to be her companion. Which all residents and staff have fallen in love with too. She is very happy to be around people again. She has been able to get to know the residents because of the size. They are now offering some choices for meals which has excited her to go to the dining room more often. They are working hard to improve the meals and the taste of the food for their residents. Which I am very happy they are doing. My mom loved to cook and used a lot of herbs and different spices to enhance the foods she cooked. Oh I can not say enough GREAT things about the staff. They are amazing!!! They are friendly and very helpful for me, my family and especially for her. You can not find a better place in Yukon for your parent/parents. Come join the family at Victorian Estates"

"It is a time when your children are grown and the loss of a spouse puts your future in a whirlwind. It is a time when you wonder what you will do, where will you go, and where will you live. Will it be somewhere that will help you make the most of the future years that are troubling you now? Enter, Spanish Cove. I have lived here for five years now, and I can tell you without any trouble at all that it is the best decision my children ever made for me.I took the tour and the beautiful swimming pool was my favorite thing. My apartment is right by it. It is heated and enclosed in glass. The sparkling beauty of it only partly upstages the gorgeous plants and flowers inside that flourish all year round. In the summer, the glass doors on the ceiling roll back and the beauty of a summer day engulfs its beauty. It is my Garden of Eden. But that isn't all. There are state-of-the-art exercise rooms, exercise equipment, a sewing room, a library, rooms for exercise workouts, billiard tables, coffee lounging areas, and CD library with all movies to check out. There are art classes for the creative mind, and on and on. The beautiful Central Park for chatting in front of the fire pit with its beautiful fountains just sparkles in the day and into the night.. The campus is just spectacular with all the beauty of flowers and hedges, and statues. But even more compelling is the staff and residents. The staff spends hours planning and putting into place marvelous trips for our entertainment and sometimes for our learning current events so that our minds stay sharp and aware. We travel in a gorgeous brand new coach with all the extras that make travel fun. And the people are the dearest on Earth. They absorb your sorrows as well as your joys and they help make the journey into the last season of your heart, better than all the other seasons put together. Getting to decorate your new apartment is the most fun.....I even got to bring my two cats and decorate the apartment with cat trees, etc. any way I chose. Some say my apartment looks like a little girl ten years old lives there; that's okay....I will always be ten so they are nice to me and just accept it. I have made some of the dearest friends I have ever had while living here. I wish I could explain adequately how the staff just unbelievably goes the second--and third mile--for US. If you are looking, look no further. This is THE place to be. Needless to say I love it here......... YOU will, too. "

"We were very impressed with Homestead of Bethany. They were very friendly. It didn't have a bad smell, a urine smell, or anything like that. It was very homey. We were very comfortable there. The lady who runs it was extremely nice, walked us through everything, and explained everything. It made us feel better. They had a library and a piano. They had individual rooms that were set up with a very small living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom, and it was very clean. They had activities."

"We toured Glade Avenue Assisted Living. It was very clean. The memory care part was very open, and there was a lot of space for people to meet and converse, which I did not find in other places. The rooms were very good size. The lady who took me around was very, very nice. They did a lot of things with their residents, and they had a lot of rooms where they could all meet, like watch TV, and they took them on excursions. I just liked it. I was very impressed with it. They have single rooms and shared rooms."

"We have chosen Heritage Assisted Living for my father-in-law. The staff is super, super friendly, and very informative. The tenants there actually look out for each other. They offer around 10 different food menu items and then they have a specialty every day. They have arts and crafts that go on all the time. The staff, as well as residents there, help out one another, especially the ones that have dementia, and make sure that they get involved, which I thought is great. They also do in-house cognitive therapy, as well as physical therapy. I love walking into it. It makes you feel like you're in a mini town, like a mini-mall strip, which is neat. We love the food and the fact that we can sit down with him and eat. The staff is very informative on things that they're working on with him or activities that they do. They try to include the families. That way, we can all get involved with his care."

"My mother is in Southern Plaza Assisted Living and Memory Care. Most everything has been really good. She seems to like it there. They have several activities. I don't know if she's been involved in any of those just yet. Some of them were crafts, Scrabble, dominoes, and stuff like that. She seems very comfortable. She's making some friends. The situation exceeded our expectations. She likes some of the food, some of it she doesn't. We ate with her the first time there, and they had cheeseburgers and they were very good. They have a library. They have jigsaw puzzles set up in there all the time. They have a big room, but we haven't used it yet. It's a wonderful place."

"We chose Concordia Life Care Community for my mother-in-law because mainly they have a room while other places didn't. She's doing well there and it's working out for her. They've been very attentive and kind, and we have had no problems. For as little as she can do, they do a good job with the activities. I know that what we're paying is on the upper end. It is located fairly close to the hospitals."
