The Best Assisted Living Communities in Tulsa County, OK

"We went to Bellarose. It was excellent. It was a beautiful facility. They had a swimming pool with a ramp to go down into it. The outside and inside both were very nice. The rooms were very nice and everything was clean. The facilitator that took us was excellent. They had a lot of activities. They also took people out into Tulsa and went to the gardens. They take them to different places, even to Walmart. They take them out to dinner at a restaurant if they want to go."

"We went to Brookdale Broken Arrow yesterday. It was very safe with a square direction of all the rooms for the apartments. It almost felt like a resort with how they had set the table for lunch and how they had an exercise class going on that was being led. There's a lot of participants doing that, which I love to see. They also allow small pets, so it was nice to see that people could bring a pet if they wanted to. We don't need that, but that does bring some joy to your day when you see an animal. So that was cool and it was very clean. I love that. When I walked in, it didn't have a weird smell. I'm big on smells and I don't want something to smell sterile or over clean, because that tells me weird stuff, and I don't want it to smell like an aging smell. The fact that I walked in, it didn't smell like really anything good or bad or weird was awesome. So that impressed me too. The staff was very, very nice. We have to wear masks. It's hard to see everybody's faces full, but everything was clean and they were polite and they were helpful. It looked like the staff was just invested in the residents and I was impressed."

"We came by this week and we was so happy with his care everyone seemed happy and smiling we walked into his room when we noticed these HUGH red lips on his cheek and we ask him where he got the kiss from he said from his grand daughter!!!! There was a man who came in to check on him and they talked about fishing what I loved is how he truly listened he didn't just ask to ask like he wanted to be there.. I walked out the room to look around and I see the girl with the big red lips talking to another person who lived there so I sit back to watch she was nice sweet joked with them so bubbly she said hello to everyone and knew something bout everyone I was flabbergasted at how much love is in and how its not a job for them two its a passion its a family here.... We came down to talk to him bout moving closer to us and after that day we can't take him from this family ... I ask the girl with the big red lips what keeps her coming back to work when she has bad days she giggled and told me even on the days she fells like the world falling apart nothing makes it better than being with the ones you love and being with family... "I was impressed with Brookdale Owasso and the young lady that I talked to. I liked it when I saw it. It's something that my sister would have been pleased with. It's assisted living and it was really nice. She was very pleasant and very professional. We sat, we talked, and she made the process comfortable for me. The apartment area that I looked at was very nice. It had a bedroom and a bathroom. The little kitchenette was really cute. I think it would have been a comfortable place for somebody in assisted living. The activities they had to offer were really nice, too. They had a lot of activities that were set up and it was nice. They also had an exercise room. It was just a nice little community."

"As I drove up, I noticed it was quiet, clean, and the other residents were friendly. I noticed that there is a church right across the small parking lot which is perfect for my grandmother who likes to attend church on Sunday mornings. I met the assistant manager who was very nice and professional and we discussed the usual information like how much it cost to stay there, what was offered, etc. Then we got a small tour of the facility and saw the library, puzzle room/laundry, beauty parlor, living room, and the hall where they have a piano and a kitchen. They have a maintenance man on staff and is available for lighting pilot lights, fixing light bulbs, and general upkeep of the facility. Also, there is a school right across the street and the kids sometimes come over as a class and meet with the residents. Overall it was a nice place and my grandmother loved the atmosphere and already made a friend. Oh, they do allow pets under certain conditions which is similar to an apartment complex. "

"If you are looking for a place that will care for your loved one, as you would at home- Leisure Village is the place. Go. Take a tour. Meet with the staff. You'll know it, when you feel it. Great food, fun & varied activities, plus "Happy the Hound Dog." Exceptional staff of truly caring people. They treated us like family, and we are forever grateful."

"The staff at Heatheridge is excellent. They are very attentive, available, and responsible. My husband is happy there, and I don’t have any complaints. There are tons of activities but he doesn’t participate; he’s not interested in that. They have all kinds of stuff everyday - they do crafts, they do sing-alongs and people come in to perform music. It’s small; it’s not a real big community. I think they only have 75 residents. It’s very clean and very well kept. It has a homey atmosphere, and I think part of that is because of the size. I looked at some other ones that were really large. At Heatheridge everybody kind of knows everyone. "

"I went to Montereau the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and took a little bit of a tour. It is in the other side of 71st Street in a very wooded area. They've been up for 10 years. It's very nice, very clean and very well kept. They have four restaurants. They have a spa and a wonderful fitness area. They have a chapel for all faiths. They have a wide variety of activities from painting to games, bridge and billiards. I want to go live there, it's a great place. There are many senior adult couples who live there that one of the spouses is in the Alzheimer memory care place while the other one could enjoy the independent living and I think it would give my father a measure of support. My father's wife has pretty advanced stage of Alzheimer's and he would be in independent living area where she would be in the more highly structured memory care. "

"I chose to live here at Country Club At Woodland Hills because of the price, what it looks like, and the people are very friendly. It's very nice inside. The people are very pleasant. I like the dining room and the fact that there's a menu. You don't have to order exactly what's on for dinner that night. You can order things off the menu. It's like a restaurant in that respect. I'm on the third floor though and it's a long walk to the elevator and then a long walk to my room, but they are very efficient and you just have to call and ask them to do something and it gets done the next day. There's a bunch of activities. I haven't yet done that. They had a new members meeting yesterday morning to go over everything with us and then with the activity director, and that was very pleasant. I think after I've been here a while, I would be able to do more things, but so far I haven't done too much because I'm physically handicapped and I have been pretty tired with all this move and stuff. I know for today they have devotions at 9:00, and then at 9:30, they have a better balance. At 10:15, they have chair exercises. At 10:30, they have trivia. At 1:00, they have games galore and bridge. At 3:00, they have happy hour and they have entertainment, food, and wine. They also have Wii bowling and Oktoberfest tomorrow with music, food, and things. Then on Sundays, for instance, which is one another thing that was very, very appealing to me, is they will take you to church. Like last Sunday, they took me to church, walked me to the door to open it for me, and picked me up. So, I'm pleased with that because, on weekends, my kids are out of town, so they wouldn't be able to pick me up or bring me home (they usually bring me home). Then they have a choir here and they have what they call cardio drumming, which sounds very interesting to me. I would like to try to do that. That's on Wednesday afternoon. I couldn't find any place that I could afford, other than this."

"I visited Aberdeen Heights for my mother-in-law. The whole tour was exceptional. It was the best place. They were all exceptional. Everything was positive and above and beyond. It was clean. The staff was very caring and knowledgeable. The dining room, the food, and the buffet looked really good. I didn't taste it though. I liked everything, the location, the view, it's a pretty area, and the residents themselves were well taken care of."

"This place is very new and has few residents right now but the staff is wonderful. They are still learning just as the residents are but they are very caring and thorough. "

"My husband moved into Legend at Mingo Road. I chose Legend because they have a round-the-clock med aide and he needed medicines round-the-clock. It's a fairly small facility of only 50 residents. They have really the nicest apartments. It's all assisted living. The staff are really good. They're attentive and they answer questions quickly. The food is fabulous. They have a chef. The facility is perfect. It's a fairly new place. Everything is still top-of-the-line neat, clean, and beautiful. My husband has a door that opens up into a courtyard. It's closed so nobody else can get in except the residents. That was another reason why I chose them. I know they have good activities. I like that they could age in place. The value for money is very, very good. Very high value. Other places with the amenities and everything that he is getting would be 20-30% more. So it is a very good value."

"This facility stands out as an incredible asset to anyone looking for assisted living and more. The staff is amazing and extremely courteous. The facility is very nice and clean inside and has a beautiful enclosed courtyard with a coy pond and gazebo. Their prices are the most affordable in the Tulsa area and offer very spacious apartments including studio, 1 & 2 bedrooms, and some facing the courtyard with access from the apartments themselves. They also offer therapies on the same campus. Plus if you have a pet you can bring them too! "
