I am currently staying at Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg. They give me my pills every day. When I go away, they have my medication packed and ready with me. The people are very friendly, and the nurses know my name. The meals are good, and they give it to you hot. If you don't go down to the cafeteria, they will bring your food to your room. They have bingo. There is a priest that comes in. I am in a one-bedroom. They come in once a week and take your laundry or you can wash it yourself.

My sister will be moving into Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg. This place is ten minutes from my house. It looks nice. The rooms are a little small, but the price is reasonable compared to some of the other ones. I have been talking to their administrator, and she's very helpful and nice. I haven't had interaction with any of the other staff yet. They have games and they take them places once or twice a week, they can go to a store, and they have some exercise activities. It looked very clean.

I would not recommend Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg. They said my mom would get care, for which we paid extra, but she stayed in a wheelchair the whole time and therapy never came in. She fell three times and the last time she hit her head. She was only there for a week and they didn't seem like they had a lot of care. The staff would come in and would just give her meds and leave the room. She had a hard time swallowing, so she doesn't even get it down, which was concerning. There was chipped paint and the rooms weren't the best kept. However, some parts of the building looked like they redid it and they looked very nice. They only had one elevator, so there was always a traffic jam on the first floor. When you're trying to get in and out (from my mom's room which was on the first floor), there'd always be a line of people going down into the lunch room. So, there was always a jam up there. The food was excellent, though.

We visited Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg in person. It was good. They gave us a meal there, what the residents eat, and it was very good. Then we took a virtual tour. We sat in the lobby and the admissions person walked around the building with a camera so we could see everything in the building. We could see the rooms. Everything appeared to be OK. We didn't interact with the staff.

Rittenhouse Senior Living is clean, and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. I have asked some residents about how they like it, and I did not get any negative feedback. Everybody is very positive about it. The staff is very friendly. The rooms and apartments were adequate. My mother-in-law has no complaints about the food, and the dining area is like a restaurant. They have bingo, crafts, shopping, church services, and exercises. They also have a room with a TV, a jigsaw puzzle, and plenty of books to read. It is very nice.
