"My father will be moving into Keystone Villa at Douglassville. What I like best is the responsiveness and the attention they've already given him, and it looks like it's a normal kind of attention for what they do. They've been very responsive to his needs. The room is spacious. There is a kitchenette and lots of wall space. He can do all of his own decorating. Because they're putting in a new rug, he could pick what kind of rug he wanted. It's very much like a blank canvas ready for him to make it his own home. It's a very friendly atmosphere. It's almost like when you go on a friendly cruise. Everything seems to be there for you, and you can pick and choose all the stuff you want to go. It's almost like going on a vacation. They have twice-a-week shuttles that go to a couple of different shopping areas. Some things are very convenient. It would be difficult to walk just because of the highway, but very close enough that you could walk if it wasn't a highway. I did not taste the food, but my father has a few times and he really enjoyed the meals. I saw the dining room. It's like a restaurant feel. It's not a cafeteria feel. It's a nice eating location. They also have a private dining room that can be used if you're having your family come in or something like that. There's an atrium where they bring in a lot of entertainment. There's an area for watching movies. There's a little library area and a community center kind of set up where you'd have longer tables to do those kinds of activities. It just seemed like there was an awful lot. This is my father's choice. They made him feel the most comfortable. He's happy."

"Amity Place was super clean and everyone was very kind. It's assisted living and I had gotten the full tour of the whole place including where they eat, where they can cook for themselves, beauty salons, craft centers, and their patio outside. I got to see a room that would be for whoever you're putting there. Everyone was so nice and the residents seemed very happy. They seemed very content and they were kept busy if they wanted to. There were a lot of things going on and that was right a couple of weeks before Christmas. They have a big room where they can sit and watch TV, do crafts, and cook and do many things. It was just out of our price range. The person who gave the tour was awesome. She answered all my questions, gave me pamphlets, and told me what was happening and what they had to offer which was very helpful. I know they do cooking classes, beauty salons, and cooking classes. They have outings too where they take them places. You could also take the residents out like I could pick my mother up there and take her to do something. They have no problems with that. You just sign them out and sign them back in. Their eating room was big, very well-lit with natural light, there were a lot of windows, and it's very clean. It was nice and clean. The individual area where guests could cook if they wanted to was kept very clean, too."

"After two weeks in the hospital my mom developed skin breakdown. When we moved her to Manatawny Manor for her rehab, she was there for two months and she never had a skin breakdown. They were obviously taking good care of her needs so that she wouldn't have a skin breakdown. I thought they really took excellent care of my mother and I was pleased with that. "

To be honest, the close proximity to my home (10 minutes away) and the costs (no massive initial buy-in fees) were initially the most appealing aspects, but as the months have gone by I can hardly express how happy I am with the decision. First in assisted living and now in memory care, every effort is made to see to the comfort, safety, and encouragement of residents. I visit quite often and at various times, so I’ve probably crossed paths with nearly every employee. Hearing my father greeted by name, seeing him smile in return, seeing his room clean and tidy, seeing him well-fed, gaining weight, clean, and regularly engaged by staff members…what a blessing Chestnut Knoll is to both of us! I know that the process of moving a parent into care is an agonizing one. At Chestnut Knoll you will find help, encouragement, comfort, guidance, and a friendly welcome from every staff member. I highly recommend this facility as the best option for the continued care of your aging parents."

"We went for a visit, and the place and rooms were very good. It’s small but OK. I worked with a lady named Danielle who was excellent. We went for lunch, and it was a very good lunch. They have a lot of things going on. Their location is very easy to get to and close to things but still off by itself. "

"I toured The Heritage of Green Hills. It was great. The place is nice. It's secluded. It's right near a golf course, but it wasn't in a location that I wanted to be in. They were all pleasant. They all seemed like they would be welcoming you. They were friendly. The facilities were very clean and kept up well. The room sizes were very nice, up to date in their decor, and things were in the hallways and stuff."
