"My friend moved into Penn Assisted Care. It was a good match for him. It wasn't a hard process at all. The staff members are very helpful. They take the time to address any situations that need to be addressed. They're very professional. My friend likes the food. They have day rooms and people interact with each other. It's a pleasant setting and very personal."

"I really liked everything about Eagleview Landing. I like the outdoor access to a little park nearby, the nice rooms, and the nice facility overall. The person who gave me the tour was very thorough, and I like the availability of the activities throughout the building. There's a courtyard, and I like the gym activities."

"Echo Lake was the only one who took my stepmother. I went through some tours with the other places, but then at the last minute they just turned us down. She has a certain condition and Echo Lake had no problems taking her. They treat her like any other resident and the place is just absolutely beautiful. They are very attentive to all her needs because she has extra needs and the food's good. Just a very positive atmosphere and she's thriving there. It's a studio that we picked for her. They supply a bed, an end table, a lamp, a comfy chair, a pretty big bathroom with a shower that she can just wheel her wheelchair into, a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, microwave, counter space, and upper and lower cabinets. The staff is extremely friendly. They are willing to do anything and they are not rushed. Like they're not trying to hurry you up to go do something else. They genuinely care about the individual and you can see it in everything they do. They seem very educated in what they're doing as well. She has three meals a day, but if she wanted to eat six times, she could. They've got a ton of activities throughout the day every day, including weekends. They do exercises twice a day, they play games, they do readings, puzzle time, bingo, and they have this big calendar in the assisted living and independent living, but you can go to either area. It doesn't matter if you're assisted living or not."

"The manager at Celebration Villa of Exeter was wonderful. She took me around and showed me everything. She sent me a little video of what we had seen that day. My husband had a chance to see the place and we looked at two different types of rooms that were wonderful. It was a clean place. It was friendly. There was a nursing staff 24/7 and that was important to me. It was also in a nice setting where there was some greenery around. It wasn't just like a brick-and-mortar type thing. Every room had a nice view of something that was green and there was a walking spot to go all the way around the buildings so that you could get some exercise, too. The facility was very nice. It reminded me of a New England inn. It had a central fireplace with rooms radiating from it that were kind of glassed-in so you could see in. There was a TV room, a library, a cafeteria area, and a dining hall."

"Daylesford Crossing was clean, and the facilities were great. The staff did a wonderful job. The room, the food, the menu and their dining room were adequate. They had everything there."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"The Heritage of Green Hills is a warm and friendly place with both apartments and villas. It is small enough so everyone gets to know each other but large enough to provide multiple activities to get physically and mentally fit. It's resort living in a caring community. "

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"We visited St Martha Villa. We met with the director of marketing and she was very nice, she gave us a tour, and told us what they offer. It was very pleasant and was kept up very well. They had transportation and they could take them to place. They had nice sitting areas and hallways, and the decor was just very inviting and pleasing to the eye"

"My sister stayed at Brandywine Living at Senior Suites for respite care for two weeks. It was very nice. The personnel were very nice, too. The place was clean. The common spaces were very nice. They have a lot of activities going on all during the day. They were all different ones that you can go to or not."

"The overall experience was OK. Some issues took a little bit longer than expected. She has been out of the facility for a mont, but we are still working with the wheelchair incident: they lost her wheelchair. We are trying to get a wheelchair that fits her; I didn’t know wheelchairs came in different sizes. They lost it, so PT said something to the administration, but it takes a long time for them to get around to fixing something. When there’s something wrong, it took them a little bit of time to fix. The staff was fantastic with my mother. When we had a problem that they had to deal with, they took care of it. It’s a very long process for them. It was nice because you can enter 24 hours a day. I had a code that I could enter to get in to her to see her anytime I wanted. Every now and then I had a problem with Blue Bell, but when I said something, it got corrected. "

"My 97 year old mother needed care in the last few months of her life and I toured the lovely facility and grounds with the Admissions Director, Bernhard. The almost 100 year old church is at the center of the complex and it is awe-inspiring. The facility really seemed to have a sense of community, and the staff greeted the residents by name [with a smile] as they passed in the halls. It turned out that St. Mary's was located too far from our family members, so we had to use a facility closer to our homes. I know my mom would have felt very much at home at St. Marys. After we decided that we needed to house her closer to home, the Admissions Director called and contacted me several more times to give me additional information regarding other alternatives for her. He was extremely helpful and informative,"

"It is clean, and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. I have asked some residents about how they like it, and I did not get any negative feedback. Everybody is very positive about it. The staff is very friendly. The rooms and apartments were adequate. My mother-in-law has no complaints about the food, and the dining area is like a restaurant. They have bingo, crafts, shopping, church services, and exercises. They also have a room with a TV, a jigsaw puzzle, and plenty of books to read. It is very nice."
