"I went to Juniper Village at Devon and toured it. Everybody was helpful, wonderful, and nice. The grounds were beautiful. It was a very nice facility. The people were wonderful and welcoming. The facility itself was clean and well-kept."

"Sunrise of Paoli was really nice, it was just rather expensive. They were spacious with a variety of different options available to the residents. They have a one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or studio. The staff members were very personable and knowledgeable. They had an indoor bistro, a dining room, and an activities room. They were also exercising when we were there."

"I was very pleased with my tour at Eagleview Landing. I was impressed with the person who gave the information. They were very informative. It's a very clean, open, and bright environment. It seemed like they were willing to work as much as possible with the finances. Everything was new because it was a new facility. I think it's just two years old. It was modern like with laminate- type flooring as opposed to carpets. The bathrooms were gorgeous. They're roomy and modern. The shower was much bigger than what my mom has now, and it looks easily accessible. The staff was very good. They gave me a complimentary little box of baked goods. They also offered me to come back with my mom during mealtime and sample the food and everything. The place was very clean. They have a little courtyard area with some outdoor seating and things like that."

"My mom stayed for a year in Sunrise of Westtown. Our experience with them had been very good. I have nothing bad to say about it. The rooms and dining room were nice, though I thought the food was not great, just decent. They had someone to come in and play the piano and also had bingo. Sometimes they would work in the garden and sometimes they would bake cookies. Overall, I liked Sunrise at Westtown. They needed to improve their food, but I would still highly rate them. "

"Sunrise of Newtown Square was a little different. What I didn't like about it was that the carpet was old. The carpet was worn on their floor, they need to update that. I like how they can get food all day, if they want to go get coffee or something, it's there for them. They have a set of menus to order from. When you walk there, the cushions and the pillows and stuff on a chair were a little different from the one up in another facility. If you want to sit there, you wonder if you get up and if you're going to have something on you. It's better kept but needs to be a little updated. They have an exercise room. I don't remember seeing a pool. The staff was great, everyone I went to was very respectful, very nice, and helpful. They need to replace that carpet. The community is fine. It has more trees around it, you look out you might see a bear."

"St. Martha Villa was very nice and the tour experience was also very nice. The place felt homey, and they're making improvements all the time. The rooms were generally adequate and were a good size. I saw the studio and a very nice 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom. The staff who gave the tour was very accommodating and wonderful. The dining area looks nice but we did not eat any food."

"We chose Columbia Cottage Collegeville for mom because it's a small community, and the caregiver to resident ratio is favorable. They offer a variety of activities and services, and the location was also beneficial. They had 10 levels of care from independent living all the way through to skilled nursing. It is great because she can age in place, and the staff has been amazing. They have three different sized rooms. My mom is in a 312 square foot room (which doesn't sound like much), but it is perfect for a single person. There's a full bathroom with a walk-In shower and pull cords by the bed and in the bathroom for assistance. There are three different sized rooms. They're generally on a wait list, but we happen to call them at a good time. They have one available. It's really like a big home. They have a living room, a TV area, dining room, and kitchen (which is all open for the residents to use as they like). They also have a hair salon onsite, as well as a physical therapy area. They have therapists that come in several times a week and a hairdresser that's there two days a week. They also have a nurse on-staff 24 hours a day, and they're great. If there's any medical assistance needed, they're there. They have various activities like arts and crafts, games, bingo, and movie night. They also have a vehicle, so they can do scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments. There are two courtyards inside the building, so residents can go outside and enjoy them without the risk of anybody wandering off. She likes the food so far."

"Rose Tree Place was very nice and my aunt liked it. They had different activities for people. The people giving the tour all seemed very nice and very knowledgeable. I spoke to some of the residents and the person giving the tour knew a lot of the residents which I thought was very nice and greeted them by name. "

"My mother-in-law has moved into Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. She chooses that one. She said it fits more with what she's looking for. The place looks nice and clean. The staff members were very helpful with all the paperwork and with the moving part of it, so no complaints at all. The atmosphere looks fine. Everybody looks pretty happy."

"My mother has moved into Springfield Crossings. She is doing very well. The staff members are awesome. We love them. She is in a newly renovated room, so it's nice. We're having some issues getting some maintenance done. As far as the facility itself, it's a bit older. It needs some work. The dining area is set up like a restaurant. I have not tried the meals, but my mother loves the food. They have lots of different activities. I think she has participated in some of them. They have bingo, music, movies, and crafts. They're right off the highway, so it's secure. It's reasonably priced."

"It seemed very nice. Actually, I liked that one better than the other place we visited. They did show us the rooms, and it was very clean. I didn’t deal with too many of the staff people. They all seemed to be nice, and doing their job. "

"I was impressed with Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. I thought it was a nice community; It was nice and clean. People were very helpful and very courteous. I like them very much. We did not have a chance to try the food, but the dining areas were very nice. I saw some of the activities that were going on. There are quite a few, I know that they had sewing and cooking classes, and they had movies. I like the overall community, and the way the rooms are laid out, those kinds of things. The only reason I would rate it at a four is that it doesn't have an indoor pool."

"I looked at Freedom Village, but they rejected us because they felt we didn't have sufficient funds. Freedom Village was excellent. It was really excellent. The apartments were a nice size. I felt they're larger than the other facility. We really like it. The location is near a hospital, and it is not on a busy street. At that time of the visit, there were people in the woodshop and people doing crafts. "

"The staff seems nice and pleasant, and I feel that it is the right location and right facility for my uncle. We've tried the food and it was great! My uncle's room is fine and he's happy when he moved in. "
