Assisted Living Communities in Malvern, PA

"We kept my brother where he was at Spring Mill. They had an opening in the memory care unit, so we moved him over there just to make it less of a fuss for him. We picked it initially because it was good for all the family members, and so we thought it would be an easier transition for him as well. He just had to walk downstairs. I like the size of the residents in the memory care. They only have 24, that's my understanding. It's smaller than other communities nearby. We're familiar with them, and we're comfortable with them, and they made the transition very good. My brother has only been there for a week, but I like the way the memory care is set up. They do the laundry, the shower, and all the medications. They have activities for the residents, and they also take the residents on a scenic drive every week. They also take the residents to the assisted living activities, not all of them, but most of them. So, he'll see people that he knows there."

"The place is beautiful, very nice amenities. The woman at the front desk is so nice and helpful, if you ask her where do you think my loved one she pretty much knows exactly where she is. Food is excellent and friendly staff waiters. If you have a loved one looking for assisted living/ memory care this is the place your looking for."

"My husband has been a resident at Eagleview Landing since June of 2023. We (all of our family and even our friends) are so pleased with the care, compassion, knowledge and friendliness of everyone at this facility. They made his adjustment a breeze. Even his neurologist commented on how well he adjusted (and I feel it because of the care he gets everyday!) Michele G. is your initial contact. Michele does an outstanding job explaining what to expect but, most importantly once you are there she still follows up to make sure your expectations are being met. You will find everyone from General Manager, Business Office, Front Desk Team, Nurses, Caregivers, Therapy team , Kitchen, Activities Coordinators, Cleaning Crew, and Maintenance Crew are always accessible and willing to help if you need anything! The Bayada Therapy team does an outstanding job. Seniority Health also takes great care of the residents. The "amenities" are great. No need to take your love one or yourself out for hairdresser, nail, Dr. Dentist and Podiatry. The food service is amazing. Great selection of meals for residents and each plate is made to order. Impressive!! Along with the great care. The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. Very clean and does NOT smell. I have had family and friends tell me they have never seen a Long Term Care Facility so nice with so many pleasant and friendly employees. "We are waiting to hear back from Sunrise of Westtown. You can be as independent as you like, but you can also have full care. For example, they can oversee medications, dressing, showering, and changing for incontinence. They do just about everything. They have nurses on-staff. You don't have to take all those services, but they offer it. It was a beautiful facility. It was arranged and designed very well. Each floor has a central location, and they call that a hub. Then the hallways to the rooms kind of branch off of that hub, and they call them spokes. It was very well designed, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean with fresh paint and decorated nice. I couldn't say enough about it. It was just beautiful."

"I went to St. Martha Villa. Everything was good. They had single and double rooms. You can bring your own television. There wasn't much where you could get an oven or anything like that, so it was very suitable for elderly people. The staff who gave the tour was very pleasant. They would even take the patients out to markets and stuff. They have a shuttle service where they can go to Giant Market or to other convenience stores."

"We chose Columbia Cottage Collegeville for mom because it's a small community, and the caregiver to resident ratio is favorable. They offer a variety of activities and services, and the location was also beneficial. They had 10 levels of care from independent living all the way through to skilled nursing. It is great because she can age in place, and the staff has been amazing. They have three different sized rooms. My mom is in a 312 square foot room (which doesn't sound like much), but it is perfect for a single person. There's a full bathroom with a walk-In shower and pull cords by the bed and in the bathroom for assistance. There are three different sized rooms. They're generally on a wait list, but we happen to call them at a good time. They have one available. It's really like a big home. They have a living room, a TV area, dining room, and kitchen (which is all open for the residents to use as they like). They also have a hair salon onsite, as well as a physical therapy area. They have therapists that come in several times a week and a hairdresser that's there two days a week. They also have a nurse on-staff 24 hours a day, and they're great. If there's any medical assistance needed, they're there. They have various activities like arts and crafts, games, bingo, and movie night. They also have a vehicle, so they can do scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments. There are two courtyards inside the building, so residents can go outside and enjoy them without the risk of anybody wandering off. She likes the food so far."

"Our father has been a resident at Rose Tree Place for the last couple of months. We toured several care facilities before making our final decision. We chose Rose Tree Place because of the proximity to family, the cleanliness of the facility, the type of apartment, availability of services, and the incredible staff. From the minute we walked in and was greeted by Lisa and Laura, we knew this was a place that cared about their residents. The staff knows all the residents by name and takes the time to communicate and laugh with them on a daily basis. Terry and the medical staff are great at communicating medical updates. We love that Dad gets treated by the in house doctors. Karen does a great job with activities and the restaurant has very good food and yummy desserts. Rose Tree Place is the best!"

"We toured Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. It provided everything I felt was necessary for my friend, which is why it will be the one when the time comes. I was impressed that the staff had been employees for a long period of time and that there was not a lot of turnover. I was also impressed that the rooms and the people were very nice. Everything was clean, and everyone was personable. It was my number one choice. The director was the one who gave the tour, and the other was her assistant. I met them both. They were very nice, thoughtful, and informative. I was very impressed with the entire experience."

"My mother has moved into Springfield Crossings. She is doing very well. The staff members are awesome. We love them. She is in a newly renovated room, so it's nice. We're having some issues getting some maintenance done. As far as the facility itself, it's a bit older. It needs some work. The dining area is set up like a restaurant. I have not tried the meals, but my mother loves the food. They have lots of different activities. I think she has participated in some of them. They have bingo, music, movies, and crafts. They're right off the highway, so it's secure. It's reasonably priced."

"I toured Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. It's outstanding. I wanted to move there. They were fantastic. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but the building was brand new. The person who gave the tour was fantastic, and the food looked good."

"I toured Freedom Village at Brandywine. It's a very pleasant environment for the residents. It does have varied amenities there, both indoors and outdoors. The staff was very pleasant, very helpful, and very informative. It was very clean, and they had a very efficient cleaning staff because I noticed them working around the building."

"My wife and I will be moving into Chestnut Ridge. It's beautiful, and it's less rent for more stuff. They have all kinds of programs there. The facility is in tree-lined suburban Chester, it's very quiet, with no loud music, no race, and nothing down the street. It's not far from the mall and within reach of financial institutions and food supermarkets, and they have a bakery. All week long, every day they have a program for senior citizens. They give you a copy of what will be going on every day, seven days a week. They have activities, a bistro, and parking for anyone that has a vehicle. They have art classes, and drawing and coloring contests. They have programs for people that don't have cars where they can get paratransit to take them shopping, and to doctors. They have brain enhancement to help your memory. It's just totally beautiful, and I see why it's a hidden gem in Chester. We will have an apartment; the design and floor plans are beautiful."
