"Daylesford Crossing was clean, and the facilities were great. The staff did a wonderful job. The room, the food, the menu and their dining room were adequate. They had everything there."

"I am writing as a primary care taker for a relative that was in the dementia area of the facility. This assisted living facility is pretty good for the most part and I would recommend it. One positive is that the daily care staff are approachable and ready to answer any questions, for example I would asked weekly if my relative was eating her meals. The facility is bright and has nice outdoor space for the resident in good weather. Her visitors took her out onto the porch and patio to get fresh air and sunshine. The residents are generally well taken care of. To receive the best care for your relative, it is important to be a regular visitor so that the staff gets to know you. It is also critically important to stay involved with the visiting physicians to monitor the medication prescribed for your relative. The location was very good and convenient, which is a key factor in selecting a facility so that you can visit frequently and in case of an emergency. "

"We chose Eagleview Landing for my father-in-law, and he has moved in. It stood out to me as the best place for him, because they had bright windows, it was clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was very good compared to some of the other places around here. They have the typical calendars each week with different activities that they have going on. They also have a gym downstairs that can be used by the memory care people. If their family comes, or if they're going to do PT or speech therapy, they can go out and use that. They also have a library with a fireplace, and fireplaces in several places where again, you can take your loved one and use any part of the facility. They also go on outings with the activities director. They have live music once a week, they come to the memory care unit."

"I was very pleased with Glen Riddle. The director, Don, was very friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. There were lots of activities, lots of care, and lots of security. I definitely could see my father staying there, unfortunately, it was just a financial issue, but I would highly recommend this place. I was very, very pleased with their location and I was very happy that they had a room sample to look at that was safe from their residents. It was very, very nice. There's a nice variety of choices, from single rooms up. They also have exercises, therapy rooms, common areas for activities, and a lot more. They were all very, very nicely placed, and the area was beautiful."

"Sunrise of Newtown Square is absolutely gorgeous; it is perfect. It recaptures the past, and reminds the residents of happier days. Everything is beautiful and everything is well done. The staff member who assisted us was wonderful. She was impeccably dressed, and her grooming was excellent. She was very well-versed at what she was talking about. She was very good. She was an excellent representative for the company. The residents were playing a word game, which looked fun. It seemed like they were having a nice time; they were laughing."

"I moved into Wesley Enhanced Living in December. I have found the Staff to be excellent.They helped me in all phases of my transition, The Facility has an indoor Heated Pool,, Game Room, Daily Movies, Field Trips an excellent Dinner Menu. I highly recommend this facility "

"We are the lucky ones!!! After a terrifying phase of my illness and being hospitalized for five months, I woke up at Rose Tree Place. My daughter said this is your new home! It didn't take long before Fox Rehabilitation wheeled me into their Physical Therapy Room. They succeeded in helping me become independent again. I was helpless coming to Rose Tree Place. Now I am walking and socializing with friends. Oh my "“ every day an aid comes in and says, "˜I am here to take care of you,' fills my glass with water, pats me on the cheek and says "˜Just call and I will be here, if you need anything!' At night I am tucked into bed with another pat on the cheek of reassurance, "˜If you need anything through the night just call and I will be here!!' Yes, I am one of the luckiest people to live at Rose Tree Place. I love my new home!!! "

"I have visited Friends Home in Kennett several times, and every time I leave, I feel absolutely wonderful. The staff and residents are wonderful. It is different from some others because it is an old mansion built by the Quakers in the 1800’s. It is a wonderful, very warm, very caring, and very loving place. You don’t get that feeling in one of those big corporations that are just going to suck you dry. The staff members work there because they want to and they like it. It is a great place. My mom is not in there yet, but she will be next week. I don’t foresee having any problems. It is going to be a good place. "

"This assisted living community has many amenities that my family member enjoys, including a beautiful dining room, modern apartments with kitchenettes, transportation to local shops, recreational activities and a pool for summer enjoyment. The staff is respectful, friendly and keep us informed of health issues in a timely manner. My loved one's transition from a large home to a one bedroom apartment has been seamless and all of his needs are met on a daily basis. "

"Freedom Village was fine for what it was, but we felt we were too young for it. We are in our late sixties, and my impression is it is maybe for someone in their late seventies or early eighties. It looked clean and well maintained though. The apartments we were looking at ranged from about 900 to 1700 square feet. We were looking for the larger ones for us, and they seemed fine. They have an exercise room and a swimming pool in the main building. The thing that they have the nicest is that they have a fleet of vans or cars to drive you to local places and pick you up. It is a nice feature. As for activities, it was hard to judge how much they had since we were there in the mid-afternoon, so it was very quiet. I just spoke with somebody whose parents went there, and they are thriving. They are doing better than ever. "

"The one we settled on and then put my friend in was Sunrise of Wilmington. We were very impressed with them, and the place is decorated like my grandmother's house: very old fashioned, warm, and welcoming. It's like coming into a home, but the rooms are a little smaller than I would want. The dining room is very attractive, and they seem to have a lot going on. The staff is extremely helpful. What really amused me was they seem to have ice cream socials fairly frequently, and they have piano players who come in. When you go in, there is a whole schedule up of what's going to happen that day. "

"I liked Forwood Manor a lot, and I'm very positive about it. The rooms were a good size, pretty new, and looked nice. The staff seemed good. They had a library."

"HarborChase of Wilmington invited us to a community party. They had a Cinco de Mayo party last week, and they invited us and other people who were interested. It was very nice. My mom is still in the very early stages of dementia and is very physically active, and we thought that that community would fit her personality and her needs at this point. They had a lot of activities, and they had an outside walking trail. The staff was lovely. We talked to a lot of the residents, and they said they're really happy. It was beautiful and it was extremely clean, I toured it twice, and each time it was kept very clean. I was there last Wednesday."
