"I visited Sunrise of Wilmington. The staff working there was awesome. The director who spoke to me was really family oriented. The residents were very open. We sat and talk with them. My sister and I even had lunch there. The food was absolutely awesome. They also have a lot of activities. Everything was upper scale. You have to have money to stay there. "

"HarborChase of Wilmington was very nice, very new, and very clean. The person that I interacted with was very knowledgeable and very courteous. The place was very airy. It's relatively new, I think about two or three years old. Everything I saw was very nice and very impressive. I saw nothing derogatory or anything else with HarborChase. The difference with the other place is they don't furnish the rooms. I would have to bring everything in right off the bat, which made it a little difficult."

"Rockland Place was very nice and had therapists who came in from Bayada. The entire place was clean, had an activity calendar, and seemed to be efficiently run. The dining room was set up nicely with napkins and silverware, and the bedrooms looked nice. "

"It was a great place. The staff member was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. She answered all the questions I had. The dining area was nice, but I did not try the food. They had a library, and an arts and crafts room."

"Arbour Square at West Chester was very nice, but we thought it was a little too fancy and more expensive. The interior was very nice. The rooms were very nice. There were apartments and studios. They had a movie room, lots of rooms for socializing and a nice dining room. The staff was very good."

"My mom moved into Rose Tree Place. I liked it because it was small and very personable. Everyone there is very nice and pleasant to my mom and her visitors. Most importantly, she needed therapy, and they let me meet with the therapist beforehand before she moved in to ensure that she would get the required therapy that she needed, and she's doing great. I can't ask for anything more. Right now, because of COVID, they haven't opened the dining hall to family members. It's only for the residents at this point. They have certain foods that are standard for each meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have specialties for that day. My mom kind of likes to keep to herself, which was another reason I liked it because they don't push you. If you want to do the activities, you can. If you don't want to, you don't have to. But she did go to a few things with music that she enjoyed. They give you housekeeping once a week, and your three meals are included. If you need therapy, your health insurance will pay for that."

"Chestnut Ridge was gorgeous, but we couldn't afford it. It was very nice, very inviting, the people were friendly, the staff was very informative, and could tell us about the actual benefits my aunt could actually get. The rooms were clean and tidy, and it's really a very nice place. They were able to get a bus to go to church, play bingo every day, and have a movie night."

"Hershey's Mill is a condominium; it is not assisted living. It is like independent living. My mom lived there for like 7 or 8 years. It is nice. The cleanliness and maintenance of the place is very nice. They had a lot of activities. They had a lot of groups like the computer club and the antique club. This facility is very nice. My mother enjoyed her stay here at Hershey's Mill "

"Great community! The staff here at Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line has been wonderful to us, especially when me and my husband first moved here and I had health problems. They got me the doctors appointments I needed, and even went with me to one of my appointments. I cannot thank everyone in the wellness office enough! We picked this community because of all the extra activities and are extremely pleased with everything. I am especially happy to have been able to start up a beginners Canasta group. "

"The common areas at Sunrise of Newtown Square were welcoming and homey. The person that I talked to has been very, very helpful. I've been communicating with him for the past week, and he has helped with the information. I went to the memory care and they were all very welcoming. They were doing some work, so I'm sure once the work is done, it would improve, but there was some construction going on."

"We toured Springfield Crossings. The people there were extremely nice. We got to speak to a number of the residents, and they had positive things to say about the community. The facility looked like it was well laid out and would meet the needs of the assisted living that we thought we needed for our father. I did not see any residents doing activities. There was a generally open area and a dining facility. The residents were holding a meeting during the time we were there. The facility was clean and they were in the process of updating the rooms and hallways."

"The Lorelton was an older and unique building, but it was nice. The rooms were OK. They were comfortable and nice, too. The dining room was very nice. I met their manager. The place was a little dated; they need to spruce up some of the common areas that were outdated."

"It was very nice, and my mother enjoyed being there. But just because it was a very old building, the feeling was she would probably be in a wheelchair and they were really not set up for wheelchair accessibility. It was farther from us, so we felt that it would be better if she would be closer. When she went there, she was a person seeking independent living, and they had a nursing station downstairs, but the people there were expected to come and go pretty much on their own and in that way it was fine until she fell. It was a very friendly environment; it was very much like a small town, and the people were like small-town people. The staff was very friendly, but we didn’t have much interaction with them because mother was living independently. We were very satisfied with it. "

"I had quite an experience at Windsor Place retirement home. Everything there was past my expectations from the food I ate to the staff that cared for the elderly Possibly my favorite thing about Windsor Place was the delicious food prepared by the chefs who really really seemed to care a lot. I caught a word with one who said bringing food to the elderly actually brought her overwhelming joy. The staff was no different. Everything seems to be great and Windsor place. Everyone seems in their right place. Another thing i loved about the place was the cleanliness of it all. I was taken off guard when this more public place was easily twice as clean as my own home! The bathroom i used was magnificent as where the other rooms. The bedrooms were VERY nice. Everything in the joint was tastefully decorated to my pleasure. "
