"I was very happy with The Lorelton. The person who did the tour was excellent. I liked the fact that it was an older building, which I think my mother will like. They converted an old school into a center, and they put a lot of work into it. I was impressed with the memory care. The rooms were reasonably sized and had very high ceilings. It was very clean. It was carpeted and had its own bathroom. It was nice. The dining area was also very nice. They had a room where everybody can go in to sit, relax, and socialize."

"I toured St. Martha Villa. The person with the information was fine. But the facility was not nice. It was much smaller, narrower, darker, and older than the other place. The building didn't flow easily for someone. The rooms were older. The model room that they showed had cabinetry that was like scraped. It was older and not updated. They had a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a little kitchenette area. They had outdoor space, but it wasn't attractive. It didn't seem to be maintained or landscaped. It seemed kind of plain. There was a courtyard, an area of seating, and a gazebo and things like that."

"Arbour Square at West Chester was a fantastic facility. It's brand new. It's a community of its own. It has two restaurants in the facility, a theater, and everything you need. You don't have to leave the complex. It has a general store, a bank, a salon, a barber shop, exercise facilities, and doctors and nurses that will come in and out. I liked it because it has both independent and assisted living. They have transportation and they will get you where you have to go, like to doctors' appointments. Their food was excellent. The gentleman that built this complex had parents who were handicapped and confined to wheelchairs. When he built the facility he took into consideration the elderly and handicapped people. It's first class. The staff member was excellent and very professional. The grounds and the building were immaculate. It's very well taken care of. They have good chefs and you can get a variety of meals. If you want to see shows or movies outside they'll take you, but they have their own movie theater in the facility. They'll also take you to casinos, malls, or museums. They have Bingo and card nights as well. The activities were wonderful."

"I chose Forwood Manor mainly because it's close to my daughter and myself. My sister-in-law has Parkinson's and needed a lot of care so I do appreciate all the information that we got from you folks. I think she's settled happily. They seem to be very concerned and the other residents are very pleasant and helpful. I've been there for lunch mainly and the food is very good. "

"Our mom has been at Ivy Gables since May 2015. She is 94 yr old and has been having ups and downs. The staff has been with us for everything. They are compassionate and caring. Due to the intimate size of the facility noone gets lost in the crowd. The food is fantastic and thought is taken for the indiviual taste. The room is a nice side and private. We are completely satisfied with everything at Ivy Gables. I could not recommend it more. "

"My mom and I toured Freedom Village at Brandywine. We saw their independent living. We also had another tour with my wife after that. It seemed like a very well-kept facility, and everything was very clean. It's a fairly large facility compared to the other one my mom toured. It has a nice arrangement and the living spaces there, the apartments, or condominiums are very nice in size. They're definitely a larger size compared to another facility we went to, so that was very nice. They all have this part in the main room that's surrounded by windows. It was very nice as well. I haven't eaten there, but I heard the food is very good. It seems like generally there's a lot of activities that they offer every day, too. I had a good impression personally. The first time we went was not too long after the COVID lockdown ended, so there was very limited activity still due to the COVID situation. The second time we went, we didn't see activities because it was right before dinnertime, and people were getting ready to go to dinner. I think dinner started at 4:45 there and we got there at four o'clock. The activity was mostly wound down for the day. We saw the gym. They have a very nice fitness center, a saltwater swimming pool, and a hot tub that looks very nice. They had a very nice auditorium; it has a top floor that's like a dance floor. I think they show movies there, but it's kind of a multi-use facility. They had a menu posted when we were there. It looked good. It was not to my taste, but I'm much younger than the people there. I think for people that age, it seemed like a good menu."

"Brookdale White Chapel is a beautiful place, and our tour went well there. I like the fact that it is right on the grounds of Newark Senior Center where she goes four days a week. Overall, this is a really great facility. "

"We took a tour of Juniper Village at Newark. I didn't get a complete picture of what the memory care looked like because it was quarantined due to a COVID case. The assisted living area, which is probably somewhat similar to memory care, looked pretty good. It looked like there was a lot for the people there to do, and all the areas were pretty comfortable for those staying there. It also looked clean to me. The tour guide answered all of our questions and gave us a good idea of how their facilities work, and how they take care of the people there."

"I got to see Eagleview Landing. They were open during my visit, but it was during the lockdown so I didn't get to see everything. The staff was excellent, the activities were all closed because of COVID, but it all sounded great."

"My mom has moved into Merion Gardens. It is a very nice and clean place. The staff seems to be fairly efficient and they're pleasant. My mom's room is being kept clean, and she is getting good care. I'm happy with it, and as mad as she was about having to go there, she likes it now. The activities are sufficient for her because she doesn't remember too much. It is a nice place if that's what you have to be in. She has only been there for a few weeks, but I'm pretty happy with it. Food is pretty good, too."

"Echo Lake had a very small group of people, because it's so new, and they were all very lovely. We had lunch in one of the restaurant areas and there were a lot of people down there eating lunch. My husband and I were all by ourselves and everybody was very gracious. One by one, as they all finished lunch and left, they all came over and said hi. Some of them sat down to talk to us for 20 minutes. It was just a very friendly, very family feeling community. The people that took us through were very patient and very encouraging, but not at all pushy."

"To start with, I rarely write reviews on place, but I have been so happy with Rose Tree Place I think they deserve a comment. I have been in multiple personal care facilities in the area when visiting friends and Rose Tree Place is definitely one of the nicest! The staff were all very kind and seem to really care about the residents. The facility is well maintained and very clean! When I got there the other day, my friend was down in physical & occupational therapy and she said that it has really helped her get stronger. When I get to the point that I need to move into a personal care facility, I will definitely be going to Rose Tree Place! "

"My wife and I will be moving into Chestnut Ridge. It's beautiful, and it's less rent for more stuff. They have all kinds of programs there. The facility is in tree-lined suburban Chester, it's very quiet, with no loud music, no race, and nothing down the street. It's not far from the mall and within reach of financial institutions and food supermarkets, and they have a bakery. All week long, every day they have a program for senior citizens. They give you a copy of what will be going on every day, seven days a week. They have activities, a bistro, and parking for anyone that has a vehicle. They have art classes, and drawing and coloring contests. They have programs for people that don't have cars where they can get paratransit to take them shopping, and to doctors. They have brain enhancement to help your memory. It's just totally beautiful, and I see why it's a hidden gem in Chester. We will have an apartment; the design and floor plans are beautiful."

"I toured Daylesford Crossing. It's a wonderful place, with wonderful people and very modern-looking rooms. The staff knows every resident by name, so everybody is on a first-name basis. They took me to their physical therapy room and event room. They were doing some events when I got there. They were having a magic show. They didn't have the level of care that my parents needed, but it was one of the top ones that we liked. They had a very small library. They had someone come once a week to do hair and nails. The gym was the physical therapy room, so it was a smaller room. It was more like an apartment building."
