She reached out to me several times and they even brought something by my door and left a little gift, a book, on how to pick communities, and things like that. She also followed up with me through email and phone calls multiple times. I thought the tour was great. I liked the facility. It was very clean. It smelled good and it was well-maintained. It was the closest to where we lived so I was considering it during the time that I was looking for my dad."

"Ganzhorn Suites is so brand new, they didn’t even have residents yet in the new area. They’re pretty much all memory care and try to make it feel like their home. They are the first place I've seen that has an induction stove in the common area. I did like that they have an area outside where people can go, but they can’t escape; they had on bracelets. "

"For the past 4 years Kindred has been providing total loving care for our niece. At the age of 46 she was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's, several years prior to her caretaker mother's death. Following that death, our niece’s condition rapidly deteriorated and we could no longer maintain her in a home setting. After shopping around we determined Kindred to be the best solution for her, and entrusted her to Kindred's care, which has proven to be the absolutely correct decision. Kindred personnel have attended to the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our niece as she has continued to slip away from her children, friends, and us. Kindred staff always interact with understanding, with tender personal physical care, with comfort, and with love … knowing that she is slipping away. Kindred could not have done a better job. "

"I visited Marion Manor Nursing Home Inc when I worked as a youth leader. It was an old facility. The atmosphere was bright and cheery. The staff were friendly. They did a great job at keeping the place clean. There were also activities available. "

"My experience was a one of under staffing. There were several times it took literally hours to speak with a nurse. On several occasions my uncle would be need attending to and not receive it for a very long period of time. When I brought up my concerns with the nurse in charge I was treated rudely. Having volunteered at nursing homes before I was fully aware this wasn't normal or acceptable. I had to go to his doctor, and the owner of the facility before I got any helpful information. Shortly after a meeting with the facilities directed more staff were hired. For the most part the rooms were kept clean. There were some problems with my uncles possessions being stolen.The physical attributes of the facility were just fine and very accommodating. I just found the staff to be unhelpful and not capable of the duty put on their shoulders. "

"We really liked Brookdale Marion. We tried to place our mother there, but when we took her there, she had some behavioral issues, so they were not able to keep her. They did follow up with us after that, though. I would really recommend them, but they just couldn’t handle people with behavioral issues. The unit was like an apartment. It was a private room. The facility was a locked unit with 12 rooms. The facility was in very nice shape before, but they were finishing up with the remodeling. It was looking very nice with lots of different options to get patients involved. "

"We liked the different room level availability at Kingston Residence of Marion, and the reputation they have for the quality of food. The rooms were very well maintained and very nice, and the housekeeping staff does a good job of taking care of the rooms. We've tried the food and it was high quality. They have a community-style dining area, like a restaurant, and it's very, very clean and organized. They have many activities too. They have craft areas, entertainment areas where entertainers come to perform, an exercise program area, a chapel for Sunday services, and snacks available around the clock."

"We are staying at Presidential Post Acute. Everybody is so friendly. It's not like you're in a hospital. It's one big family. The rooms are too small. Other than that, it's a nice place. We have bingo three times a week, and that's a lot of fun. There's always something going on during the day. We watch movies. We have crafts and cooking class. You don't feel like you're in a nursing home. Sometimes the food is burnt or not quite done. They could use more staff."
