"I toured StoryPoint Powell and there was nothing I disliked about it. One thing that stood out was that the person who gave the tour knew all the occupants' names and they knew her name, and she talked to them in the hallway. It was very clean, the people were very inviting and friendly, and I would move in there in a second. I like the appearance from the outside, the friendliness when we walked in the door, how professional they were and the paperwork, there was not one thing wrong with it. We were invited for lunch there, but we didn't eat, but we met the chef. They had a beauty shop, a book club where you can meet and read books,a garden center, wine tasting, and classes on making wine."

"I toured the assisted living facility of Sunrise of Dublin. I was very pleased with the facility, the people I talked to, the staff, and everything. I would recommend this facility to anybody. I thought that was an outstanding facility."

"My father is at The Ashford at Sturbridge assisted living. He just wasn't happy with the food, but their chef is working to make that better. I've been talking with the director and such. The physical appearance is excellent. They've only been open a couple of years. I think it'll be three years this coming January. Their services are very good for both the aides and the nurses. They're very attentive. When I talk with them and ask if they could take care of something for my dad, they're always very willing to do that. I haven't eaten there since January of 2019 when they first moved in. The menu is varied, and I think some of my dad's problem is that he's 88 and your taste buds start to go when you get older. Things just don't taste as you remember them. They take them out to restaurants once in a while and out to shopping. They also have a little car show in their parking lot, and they've had the OSU alumni band come there and play. They have a lot of good activities. They have an onsite beautician and a library. My dad said the food has been very good the last two weeks and it's been three weeks ago since I talked with management about it. I know he's paying less than he would at some other places. They're very responsive. They've closed their facility due to Covid before the governor closed the State of Ohio. I feel that they're very concerned about the welfare of their residents. That's their number one priority and I'm thankful for that."

"I enjoyed my visit at Trillium Place. The physical appearance of it was very nice and very pleasant. I was very impressed with this place. They're very clean. They met any expectations that I might have had. It looked good to me. The rooms that they have were about the same as with the other facilities I visited. When I got there, I didn't see any of the residents doing any activities. It may have been because everybody was getting ready to go to lunch. "

"I found Carriage Court of Hilliard for mom. Its design is exactly like the building that she's in right now. When we walked up, there were rocking chairs on the porch. She has longed to have a rocking chair to sit in because they took them away from the place she's at now. It was inviting and clean, and the people were friendly. The layout is just like where she is. She's 92, and she's blind. I didn't want her to have to learn a new facility, and it just worked out perfect. The room was clean. There is carpeting in it now, but they were getting ready to remodel it and redo the carpeting. We talked to them, and they are putting down laminate floor; that was wonderful. She has a walker. She's 92 and carpet isn't always friendly. They're changing that for her. It has a cabinet and a countertop. She didn't have any storage like that before, so that'll be a nice thing for her. The bathroom was extremely clean. The whole room was clean. The dining area was like a restaurant, and it's very nice. The tables were spaced out. People were eating and visiting their loved ones, and it looked like Sunday dinner. They had a salon, a bistro where she can get coffee or juice 24/7 and snacks, and a craft room. They also have tables in there, and they do bingo and games. There were puzzles sitting out. It was very tastefully done. There were areas outside of her room where she could sit and entertain someone without having them in her room if she didn't want. There's a courtyard where there are plants and flowers and people sitting. I was very happy. It's the same thing she has now, but much nicer. The staff was very friendly."

"I would have chosen Danbury Columbus for my friend because of the reception that we got when we went there. The staff that took us through that place was very knowledgeable. She spent a lot of time with us and she explained all the services that we really didn't know about that were available. She was just very detailed about answering all the questions that we had. They had occupational therapists on site. It was an older facility, so it's got some wear and tear but the people are the most important thing for us. There were several floors, so the elevators were large. The place was easy to navigate, and they had nice wide halls. The layout was very friendly and very open. I liked the fact that the dining rooms were right there in front, as soon as you walked in. So, you got a sense of community right away because there were people there. And another thing that I liked was that they don't have assigned seating in the dining room. "

"My father is at The Inn, and he's in the memory care area. They have been very helpful, and so far, it's good. The staff was caring and engaged in getting to know him and taking care of his personal preferences. "

"We toured the assisted living section, and it was excellent. The community is very welcoming. The person who gave the tour was very thorough and very good at what she does. She gave a very warm feeling about the place. The room was very good, and the bathroom was very large. The activities were excellent. They have a wide variety, and they were very appealing."

"The lady who did the tour at The Avalon of Lewis Center was good to follow up later with me. She reached out to me several times and they even brought something by my door and left a little gift, a book, on how to pick communities, and things like that. She also followed up with me through email and phone calls multiple times. I thought the tour was great. I liked the facility. It was very clean. It smelled good and it was well-maintained. It was the closest to where we lived so I was considering it during the time that I was looking for my dad."

"I went to look at Bickford of Upper Arlington. They had a very nice area for the cafeteria. All of the staff there were very friendly. They were all one task, and that's one thing that I appreciated. When you walked in, you first walked into what they called the living area. It was a nice size. You had to bring your own furniture, but there was plenty of room where you could have a love seat and a place to put your TV. The bedroom was just a little bit smaller, but it certainly would accommodate a full-size bed, a chest of drawers, and a nightstand. They had two very nice-sized closets. The bathroom was small. The staff was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Their meals were excellent. It was all home-cooked. They provide fresh bread for every meal. They gave us a sample luncheon, and the chicken was extremely good, tender, and seasoned lightly. The presentation was wonderful, too. The facility was clean. The only thing on the memory care floor was that the actual area where the residents would gather was a little tight. There was a small room in which they did puzzles. There was a long hallway with chairs and sofas where they gathered. If you wanted to watch TV outside your own room, you had to go to the other end of the hall."

"We went to Bickford of Worthington. The building seemed very open and very comfortable. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. They seemed to be very supportive of the residents there. They were open with information. If I had any questions or if I thought of anything, they were ready to answer whatever my concerns were in preparation for my grandmother. They had various sizes of rooms. The ones I got to see were the smaller ones. Depending on what size of room you might need, they had a schedule based on how much you could pay. I think it was either per day or per week or something like that. The place looked clean and well-kept from what I could tell. I didn't get a chance to try their food. It smelled good though. From what I could see, it looked like the people were comfortable."

"My mom has been at Urbana Place for 5 years. I did not think she would live long when she went in because she had lost so much weight and was falling at home a lot. She has gained a healthy weight and is 97 this year. It is good to know her needs are taken care of. They have the best nurses and the staff is always smiling and so helpful."

"Campbell Place was beautiful. Seniors were gathered in the main living room, talking and putting puzzles together, another one in the corner reading, and there was something going on in the activity room. The dining area was well laid out and clean. It was set for the next meal. We went through just one room. It's easy and adaptable for anyone to move in. I loved their showers. They were almost walk-in types. The staff that I met was great. They went out and beyond their call of duty. It is an older home, but beautifully taken care of."
