Beautiful apartments and building and always so clean. It is truly like a little city with everything mom needs right there. The staff is amazing and everyone knows everyone’s names and all about them. They truly care and love what they do. I love visiting - everyone there staff and residents alike are like family.

My Mom has been at Avalon since early December. The staff is amazing and show her so much affection. Even on the days that they are not assigned to her for care, they still stop by to say hello and check on her. She enjoys the food and they offer a variety of other things if they don’t want what is on the menu for the day. She is in a studio room which is plenty big for her, but they also have 1 bedroom rooms that have a separate living area. They have a rehab room where residents can do PT or OT if needed. They offer a wide variety of activities. The admission and move-in process was seamless.

Rooms are clean and spacious, staff is caring and nurturing, activities are resident centered and my loved one is provided with top notch medical care.

The lady who did the tour at The Avalon of Lewis Center was good to follow up later with me. She reached out to me several times and they even brought something by my door and left a little gift, a book, on how to pick communities, and things like that. She also followed up with me through email and phone calls multiple times. I thought the tour was great. I liked the facility. It was very clean. It smelled good and it was well-maintained. It was the closest to where we lived so I was considering it during the time that I was looking for my dad.

We are in the process of moving in. It's a very nice place. One of the nice things they have is a very safe shower. They have two dining rooms that you can order off the menu. The resident's rooms were nice size and so far, the people we've come in contact with are very nice as well. A couple other people that live there said the food was enjoyable. The staff is so helpful that they said they are going to help me invite some friends for a tea or luncheon.

The facility is clean. The staff is caring. More activities are needed for residents who are mobile as I heard from staff that my father would help them clean. My father would not eat, so the staff fed him ice cream. He got used to refusing food.
