"Bennington Glen is an assisted living facility located approximately half an hour north of Columbus Ohio. It is situated on a small hill with a very pleasant view overlooking a pond and large fields.There is on-site therapy and rehabilitation equipment with friendly and helpful staff. The whole facility is on one floor which is good for ease of access in a wheelchair or with a walker. All of the staff I had interactions with, from the nurses to the assistants, were very helpful and intelligent. More importantly, the residents I spoke with all had positive things to say about the facility and the staff, which is not always the case for these facilities.I have visited many other assisted living facilities over the years and in my experience with I was very surprised with the level of rapport the staff and residents have here. I got the feeling that the staff genuinely cares for their residents.In my opinion Bennington Glen is a very fine assisted living facility in central Ohio and I would have no qualms about having a family member choose it for their recovery. Easily a 5 star facility. "

"My grandfather was extremely unhappy at Northview, eventually he was moved to a new senior living center. They seemed to be understaffed, the building seemed nice enough from the outside but maintenance could have been better kept up, but I believe the biggest problem was the understaffing. Waiting for assistance was not a pleasant experience, and as much as both the resident and government pays to the facility I found the meals, rooms, and activities to be quite subpar from what my grandfather or his family expected. Employees of the facility smoke at the front of the property by the roadfront, something else I found extremely distasteful for a healthcare operation. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful, though as previously stated overworked and understaffed. Would I recommend this facility to others? Probably not, we found grandfather a much better facility that was not much further away, better care and a better overall living environment than Northview. "

"The tour at The Inn at Walnut Trail was extremely informative. The staff members were very friendly. The people are saying hello to you when you walk by. The residents were out and about, seemed very happy, very well kept for, and seemed like they were having a great time. Everything is really kind of top-notch. It's only been there for about two years, so it's still extremely new. Everything is very fresh, up-to-date, pleasant, happy, and sunny. You just feel good when you're inside. This is a one-floor plan, which is crucial in my opinion. If I had to pick between, I would probably pick a one-floor facility versus a multi-level facility. It was really, really great. We saw the dining room, which was very large and open. Everything was very open, which was nice. I guess that is what gives it's big, bright, sunny feel. It was very homey. They have a pub room where they do happy hour. They have card games. They have a place to sit and hang out with friends. We saw their movie theater room, where they host big events. They have an activity room where they do different crafts. They have a chapel, which was very lovely. They have a beauty parlor where they have someone come in twice a week to do haircuts for men and women. They have a rehab room. They can help you not only with the physical side. but also cognitive if needed. We took a tour of some different floor plans that they offer the residents."

"They were very professional and really knew how to take care of people who were in their care. i was impressed with their care because i have been to other assisted living facilities that were not the greatest. clean and comfortable are some great words to describe this place. I really have no negative comments to make at this time. "

"Wedgewood Estates of Mansfield was very nice but the price was way out of our league. I would recommend this facility if you had the money. "

"We moved my father into independent living about 3 months ago. He has mild alzheimers/dementia. He is content and we are, for the most part thrilled. People are friendly, competent. Meals are excellent. Activities (for someone with AD) are OK,but we are having trouble with reminders to get him to activities. Maybe we shouldn't have expected this kind of help in independent living, though the primrose site says "memory care". They DO make sure he is at meals and so far the beauty salon/barber has come to get him on a regular basis. The facility is beautiful. Can't say enough about that! And WE feel at home there!!! And he has his privacy, which was important to him!"

"Feridean Commons is recommended to us by someone I know and it's the best one that we've found. They have a very good staff. My mom is in a room with one-bathroom and one-bedroom. The food is adequate and good. I like it that they are all in one floor and they are a small group, only around 60 residents in the building. I like it also that it feels like a home and not an institution. They offer a lot of activities and my mom is happy there. I am satisfied with their care and I recommend them to others. "

"My mother is now in Magnolia Terrace and it's a nice facility. We needed to find mom a place, and they had an opening, so we got her in. The staff is very compassionate with mom and everything, and I think they're doing a fine job. The time that I was there, I thought the food looked pretty good. They had bingo, exercise, movie time, a word spelling game, and more. They've also given her a whirlpool job at the facility and they do her laundry."

"My father was in the rehabilitation center at New Albany Gardens for six weeks. The staff was very good. There were two gentlemen that would take him for therapy that my father really liked. They were so thoughtful and kind to him. My father did not eat in the dining room as the food was always brought to his room, but he liked the food and said it was good. The apartments at the assisted living were very pleasant. They had an activities sheet and a bus that would take them shopping on various days of the month. My father’s stay was very pleasant. He was happy and would go back again if he had to. I felt that I was fortunate to have my father have a positive experience with care there. "
