"My mom is in Country Club Rehabilitation Campus at Mt. Vernon. It's a nice facility. The staff is very friendly. My mom's room is a nice, fairly large room. I have no issues with the maintenance. Its upkeep seems to be fine. My mom likes the food and the meals are large."

"My dad was a guest in Mount Vernon he can be very trying on his best day, they was so good to him!! Before his stroke he was unsteady walking most times then after his therapy he was better than before he went there!! Nice caring staff!! "

"While no one ever wants to have to place a loved one in a nursing home, if you have to do it Country Court in Mount Vernon, Ohio makes the experience a little less painful for all involved. While all of the tangible qualities of care are in place: food, warmth--safe surroundings, and excellent nursing staff--it is those things you can't quite put your finger and explain in words that matter the most. I suppose, for lack of a better way of explaining what I mean is that it is not just the quality of care that's important, but the manner in which it is administered. In other words, it's really the caring attitude of the staff and administration that makes Country Court such a jewel. I have had two grandmothers and a great-grandmother both call County Court "home" toward their end of their lives, so I am well-acquainted with this facility. I have an aging parent who is scheduled for surgery next month, and should we need to place him in a nursing home short term for rehabilitation purposes, we've already decided that Country Court is our facility of choice. I would also like to add that on the rare instance that we had concerns or problems of any sort regarding my grandmothers' care, they were taken very seriously by the nursing staff and/or administration, and any problems we experienced (which were never really very monumental) were immediately remedied. "

"I'm in the skilled nursing care at Smith's Mill Health Campus, but they also have just assisted living. The experience has been very good. They seem to be on top of all of the recommendations from the hospital. They seem to want to have a plan in place very quickly. I saw physical therapy this morning and we've already made a little bit of progress from yesterday in the hospital. There seems to be a coordinated idea of the path that I'm going to be taking and I think the staff is very supportive. The room I'm in is a private room. It has a bath, a toilet, and a small roll-in shower. There is Wi-Fi in the room, which is nice, and they provide a flat-screen TV. There is a large chair, a small armoire, and several bureaus with drawers underneath for storage. The food is excellent, I can't say enough about the dietary aspect. I'm not ambulatory so I'm not able to go down the dining area but that is one of our goals, to get me to the dining area as quickly as possible, possibly within the next couple of days. I would not be ambulatory to do that. I would have to be taken in a wheelchair or whatever. Like all facilities, I think they could have more robust staffing but that's just because the people are not out there. It's not anything that they're doing or not doing. I guess the services that they're able to provide are still excellent."

"My wife was in ManorCare. She was there for probably six months for rehab and another six weeks of comatose and she passed away there. I was very happy with everything they did for us. They advised me about hospice care and had me checked out funeral arrangements and whatnot, which I wouldn't have done had somebody not suggested it. At that time, I was happy for being in an unhappy situation. I felt well supported. When she was there for a rehab, she wasn't a good patient, but, when I went back to it when I had knee surgery I was with old friends with the people and the staff and that was very nice. I can't think of better recommendation for my wife's care at that time. "

"My brother is at Edgewood Manor of Westerville. The food needs improvement. It's a nice place, but it's expensive when you have to pay out of pocket. The therapists are nice, friendly, and they all seem to care. They have a movie day there as well."

"I visited here recently and was overwhelmed with the love and joy the residents and staff express. So many smiles! While I could not interact (most were deaf) I could wave a "hello" and smile. They waved and smiled right back. The staff were wonderful showing me around! While the rooms were dated, they were clean and there was no smell or odor. We did not eat there, but the food looked good and residents in the dining area were happy and eating."

"I am a resident of Legacy Westerville. They have a very good physical therapy and occupational therapy program here. Their therapists are very talented, very helpful, and treat their residents in a good manner, and do the best they can to help them along. The food is tolerable. You're not going to starve to death, but it's not gourmet cuisine. They do a decent job of keeping it clean. They have maintenance staff here. He stays on top of things, and if something's not working properly he tries to get to it as quickly as he can to bring it back up to par. As far as activities, they have an activity center. They play bingo. They have movies. They provide two different types of church services throughout the week. They do things with residents and try to keep them entertained."

"My father was in the rehabilitation center at New Albany Gardens for six weeks. The staff was very good. There were two gentlemen that would take him for therapy that my father really liked. They were so thoughtful and kind to him. My father did not eat in the dining room as the food was always brought to his room, but he liked the food and said it was good. The apartments at the assisted living were very pleasant. They had an activities sheet and a bus that would take them shopping on various days of the month. My father’s stay was very pleasant. He was happy and would go back again if he had to. I felt that I was fortunate to have my father have a positive experience with care there. "

"I had a friend who went here. The facility was complete from independent living down to hospice. The apartments looked beautiful. They offered a wide range of medical care and the staff was good. They had a library, stage plays and performances. I would recommend this place to others. "

"My father was in The Rehabilitation & Health Center of Gahanna. The rooms were a good size but they weren't the cleanest. We had to keep getting staff to come in to clean. There were sticky things on the floor and bandages that they had thrown off and hadn't picked up, so that was an issue. We got hospice involved, and then it was wonderful there; they seemed to take care of a lot of those issues for us. The food was fine. It tasted good to him so he enjoyed it. When it came to me telling them we needed something, it seemed to take forever for them to come to take care of what we needed, so that was an issue. Their staff needed to be trained a little bit better. "

"Mom is in Ohio Living Sarah Moore now because she needs 24-hour care. The place is super clean. They make it very homey, and it doesn't feel like you're walking into a facility. There's always somebody at the front desk to help you. The staff is really good, and their service is really great, but they're still training a few people. So, they could use a little boost there. They call me with updates. I also get updates once a week from the doctor that comes to visit. They make sure to try to include her in any activities that they have. They try to get all their residents out of the room for a little bit and include them in activities, or they move them to areas where they can sit by the window or just to kind of get them around and get active. They do sitting exercises and movies. They take the residents out to lunch and they also do stroll drives around the city to look at the trees and the parks. Mom is more active there than she would have been at home. They have a really pretty courtyard. They also have a front porch area and a library. I never tried the food, but when I get there, Mom's plate is always empty. I know they serve three meals a day. And when they do activities, they provide snacks."

"My mom stayed at Friendship Village for rehab. They have a beautiful facility for assisted and independent living. The only thing I disagreed with was their skilled nursing, which had everyone mixed together. They had memory care, long term and short term care, and pretty much everybody in the same area. The people there were nice and took good care of my mom. The rehabilitation area was very nice for PT and OT. The food was very good and delicious. My mom was in a nice, big, private room, with plenty of space and a bathroom in it, but it was a little dated."
