Vigilant

While no one ever wants to have to place a loved one in a nursing home, if you have to do it Country Court in Mount Vernon, Ohio makes the experience a little less painful for all involved. While all of the tangible qualities of care are in place: food, warmth--safe surroundings, and excellent nursing staff--it is those things you can't quite put your finger and explain in words that matter the most. I suppose, for lack of a better way of explaining what I mean is that it is not just the quality of care that's important, but the manner in which it is administered. In other words, it's really the caring attitude of the staff and administration that makes Country Court such a jewel. I have had two grandmothers and a great-grandmother both call County Court "home" toward their end of their lives, so I am well-acquainted with this facility. I have an aging parent who is scheduled for surgery next month, and should we need to place him in a nursing home short term for rehabilitation purposes, we've already decided that Country Court is our facility of choice. I would also like to add that on the rare instance that we had concerns or problems of any sort regarding my grandmothers' care, they were taken very seriously by the nursing staff and/or administration, and any problems we experienced (which were never really very monumental) were immediately remedied.
