"He’s all moved in here. That’s the only one I visited because I knew I wanted continuing care, and it’s just a 100 mile radius from me. It is fantastic. It is a continuing care retirement center. You have to enter while living independently, and then you never have to leave. The staff is incredible. There’s nothing that I’ve ever seen like anywhere. It’s very extensive, just a wonderful community. The food is fantastic. They have a restaurant. They have lots of activities. They have an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, an art studio, and they bring in speaker and concerts, church activities, and various groups. "

"My grandmother was a resident at Centerburg Pointe for two years. The staff provided great care to her, treated her as family of their own. She was able to keep some of her normal routine, even with her limited mobility. Her early morning cup of coffee and warm washcloth to wash her face. This let her still feel a sense of independence and was important to her. Activities were provided as needed; she had lots of visitors. Our family and grandmother's friends were provided areas to gather and were made comfortable to visit. My grandmother enjoyed her meals and was offered alternatives for meals she didn't. Her room was always clean and smelled. Our family appreciated the care and peace of mind provide to our very loved mother and grandmother."

"My father was in The Rehabilitation & Health Center of Gahanna. The rooms were a good size but they weren't the cleanest. We had to keep getting staff to come in to clean. There were sticky things on the floor and bandages that they had thrown off and hadn't picked up, so that was an issue. We got hospice involved, and then it was wonderful there; they seemed to take care of a lot of those issues for us. The food was fine. It tasted good to him so he enjoyed it. When it came to me telling them we needed something, it seemed to take forever for them to come to take care of what we needed, so that was an issue. Their staff needed to be trained a little bit better. "

"I visited here recently and was overwhelmed with the love and joy the residents and staff express. So many smiles! While I could not interact (most were deaf) I could wave a "hello" and smile. They waved and smiled right back. The staff were wonderful showing me around! While the rooms were dated, they were clean and there was no smell or odor. We did not eat there, but the food looked good and residents in the dining area were happy and eating."

"Everything was very nice at Tuscany Gardens. The only issue was, I guess, a lot of times they would run out of some of my mom's prescriptions. Not that I really want to complain about it, but maybe they can figure out something better for that because I know there were a couple of times either it would be hours away on getting her medicine or she would have to wait till they can get it from the pharmacy the next day. And that's kind of a big deal. I'm not blaming the nurses for it. But other than that, everybody was always very nice. It seemed like it's clean there. It's huge. I got lost. I don't know how many different styles of room they have, but I know my mom was by herself in the room that she was in. They looked very nice and very spacious, enough to be comfortable. The food, well I guess, I know that they can't cook the way that we cook at home. I know my mom would want more seasonings. It was very bland. She never really complained too much. In the cafeteria, they always seemed like they have different food than what they serve the rooms, so it was more of a variety. They were very helpful, and they made sure that you understood, and they were very caring. They did have the front door where you would have to buzz in after a certain time, but I was able to go in and out as I pleased. And I did like the fact that we were able to take in my mom's dog. As long as it's on a leash, we were allowed to take her dog out to see her, which I think really helped her too. I think that was a really good thing. I liked that a lot. "

"My sister is at Gahanna Seniorlife Neighborhood and so far I can tell that it is a very warm and open place. They are providing care for my sister and the place is very neat and clean. The staff is very, very supportive. The rooms are set up to accommodate the residents based on the care that they need. The bathroom is just within the room and close by."

"I am a resident of Legacy Westerville. They have a very good physical therapy and occupational therapy program here. Their therapists are very talented, very helpful, and treat their residents in a good manner, and do the best they can to help them along. The food is tolerable. You're not going to starve to death, but it's not gourmet cuisine. They do a decent job of keeping it clean. They have maintenance staff here. He stays on top of things, and if something's not working properly he tries to get to it as quickly as he can to bring it back up to par. As far as activities, they have an activity center. They play bingo. They have movies. They provide two different types of church services throughout the week. They do things with residents and try to keep them entertained."

"My wife was in ManorCare. She was there for probably six months for rehab and another six weeks of comatose and she passed away there. I was very happy with everything they did for us. They advised me about hospice care and had me checked out funeral arrangements and whatnot, which I wouldn't have done had somebody not suggested it. At that time, I was happy for being in an unhappy situation. I felt well supported. When she was there for a rehab, she wasn't a good patient, but, when I went back to it when I had knee surgery I was with old friends with the people and the staff and that was very nice. I can't think of better recommendation for my wife's care at that time. "

"My brother is at Edgewood Manor of Westerville. The food needs improvement. It's a nice place, but it's expensive when you have to pay out of pocket. The therapists are nice, friendly, and they all seem to care. They have a movie day there as well."

"My mother has moved into Taylor Springs Health Campus. It seems like a nice, decent place. She is trying to get adjusted to being there and learning the routine or whatever. The interaction with the staff is good. So far, it's going well. She hasn't had any complaints. She has a decent-sized room. It has a sink, a mini fridge, and a microwave with some cabinets for snacks or dishes or whatever because she is allowed to eat in her room if she wants to. It has a full-sized bed. There is a short chest where you could set up a TV. There is a 3-inch round table with two chairs. There is a recliner with a table. It has a nice size closet for her to put her clothes in. The bathroom seems decent size. They have emergency call things at the bed, at the toilet, and I think there is one in the shower just in case, for some reason, she's not being assisted and she's in the shower and she needs help or whatever. It seems decent, and it's not too small. She has room to wheel her wheelchair around. They have different floorplans, but this room was the only available room. It's a two-story building. They have Medicaid beds, but they didn't have anything available. They have some different activities going on. My mom is getting her haircut today, so they do haircuts on Mondays. She has signed up for some physical therapy, too. They have happy hour on Fridays. I think she said they had an ice cream social there yesterday. "

"My mom stayed at Friendship Village for rehab. They have a beautiful facility for assisted and independent living. The only thing I disagreed with was their skilled nursing, which had everyone mixed together. They had memory care, long term and short term care, and pretty much everybody in the same area. The people there were nice and took good care of my mom. The rehabilitation area was very nice for PT and OT. The food was very good and delicious. My mom was in a nice, big, private room, with plenty of space and a bathroom in it, but it was a little dated."

"My mom is at National Church Residences Stygler Road (Traditions at Stygler Road). They take really good care of her. She is in a private room. The room is pretty sparse, but it has a bed and a couple of tables and chairs. My mom is eating everything there, so I think food is OK. The dining area is very nice. They go on outings. They have a little bus, and they take people to various places in the community every Monday, so that's nice. I would recommend this place. "

"My husband is now at Forest Hills Center. I chose it because it was available and it's nice. I like it, and he does, too. They play games and they do things with them. They listen to music, and they go bowling with the clients. They have different activities. He likes to dance, and they dance. The staff seems nice, attentive, and caring. Every time I have been there, they have been very nice and caring to my husband and to the other clients. The food looks good, and my husband eats it all. I have seen him eat everything that they bring. It's a nice place."

"Altercare Newark North was nice. But my dad is still able to drive and drive around, so he's still not at the point to be in this facility. The staff is great, they're nice, and the facility is nice. The rooms were nice there. I thought it was in a nice area. I know everything about it was really nice and all their facilities are nice. I liked everything about the facility. The lady or coordinator took us through the facilities, I thought it would work out great if he's ready. It looked like everything I would need is there. Nobody looked in distress and everybody looked happy. The people seemed well cared for. The staff is very friendly, very helpful, answered every question we had and gave us information."
