"I toured The Avalon of New Albany. I liked everything about it. The people were great. They were very informative and very nice, and they walked me around everywhere. They told me all the things that I didn't know I needed to look for. The facility itself was beautiful. They had a special art room, a chapel, and a lounge area downstairs which looked like a very nice cafe place. Once a month, they have a podiatrist that comes to the facility. There was a courtyard and a screened-in patio. There was a beauty and barbershop. They had a restaurant-style dining area and a couple of different locations throughout the building that are larger lounge areas with little kitchens where you could have all your family come for big dinners. They had a popcorn machine, and they do happy hour once a week. They gave us muffins for snacks and it was very good. They had a lot of things written on a menu board that you could order. And if it wasn't on that day's menu, you could order something, particularly that you like. "

"I liked Bickford of Bexley. I liked the activities and the surroundings, but my mother-in-law didn't want to be there because she noticed more people needed assistance than she did. I wouldn't put an independent person there. The staff was very informative and very nice. It was a nice place. They had a salon. It's near all the restaurants on Main Street. Your family could come and take you to eat out or you can eat there, so it was convenient."

"I went to Westerwood. I think they did a really good job. They gave me a good tour. I went there and had lunch with them and talked with them. I had a lot of time to talk with them about stuff. Overall, I think it's a very good place. The thing I liked the least was the money, that it takes a lot of money to go there, and it's very difficult for me. I'm going to have to go to a really small apartment. As far as good things, it had very good things. I just was very pleased with what was there and the activities that they have for people. I thought it was very clean. The food was OK; it was good. The staff was wonderful, all of them. They have a lot of classes. They have an art room, which I'm really interested in."

"Brookdale Westerville was a lovely place. It's just a very, very small community. Everybody was friendly. The facility was pretty and had a lovely little interior garden. It just had a very, very inviting atmosphere. I even talked to some of the residents, and they joked around with me a little bit. It was very nice. They have an activity room, which is neat. I was kind of there in the early evening, so they're watching the news. The staff was very friendly."

"The Grove at Oakleaf Village seemed quite clean. We had lived in the neighborhood prior to having it recommended to us. Once we went over and visited/had our interview, it seemed like they would be the right choice for us. They take care of our laundry. I was told there are three meals a day, plus evening snack. To my knowledge, there's 24/7 coffee. I hear there are activities for the memory care person. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. They would take state assistance, which is Medicaid."

"My experience with Danbury in Westerville has been exceptional. As a facility entrusted with the care of my aging parents, Danbury has consistently exceeded my expectations in every aspect. "From the personnel standpoint, the staff from Harrison on 5th by Senior Star did a very nice job working with us and showing us the units and the entire community. And we like the size of the two-bedroom apartment that we're getting. The amenities available are assisted living capabilities, medication management, nursing care, meals, and all kinds of activities."

"Emeritus at Lakeview provides excellent nursing care and has the most wonderful staff members and nurses. I would recommend this assisted living community to anyone. They also have a lot of activites for the residents and family nights every month which really makes this place home for all! "

The people are beyond outstanding, the building and ground well cared for, the apartments are comfortable, the food great and the programing has a little something for everyone. "My mother moved into Bickford of Worthington. I'm very happy with the care that she's getting there. It seems to be very friendly, individualized care, I'm communicating with them, they're easy to get a hold of, and they seem really willing to cooperate with the family. I'm visiting there about two or three times a week. At first it was outside, and then had a room inside when the weather got bad. The staff is very nice, very helpful, very friendly, they always tell me what's going on with Mom, and tell me humorous things when interacting with her. She has a studio and I haven't been able to see it, but I did see it in a video once, and it seems a nice size. It seems to be adequate. They do crafts, they play games, they do her nails, they post them on their Facebook page, it's nice when I can find my mom, and on their website too, I think they post pictures. They do have a little courtyard in the back, it's fenced-in, and in the summer they have a big front porch that you can visit on when the weather is nice. She does physical therapy twice a week, they have someone that comes in, we had to get a doctor's order, but they have somebody there from some outside group."

"My mother-in-law will move to Bickford of Upper Arlington. I thought that the amount of time they gave me to visit the facility to get to know it was exceptional. They spent over an hour and a half with me. I got to meet several of the different staff members. They were all super gracious, and I liked the warm atmosphere of the facility."

"My parents moved there in 2019 when my mom started having more health issues. Mom was assisted living and dad independent. They had a 2BR 2bath with kitchen and balcony when they moved there. It was nice and spacious for their needs. Mom passed away in 2022 and my Dad has been there needing no assistance except occasional blood pressure checks since then but moved to a studio apt. He is 95 years old, very hard of hearing and uses a walker but does things on his own. He enjoys going on outings to see Columbus (museums, restaurants, parks) since he lived in Cleveland most of his life. Staff are great- supportive when my mom was getting hospice care there and genuinely caring. Cara the director who has been there since my parents moved in is a bundle of energy and she really enjoys the residents."
