"The CCEC caters to the elderly deaf, both of which my grandparents were. The nursing staff and support staff of the nursing home facility were top notch and very responsive to all residents needs and concerns. They were also very knowledgeable about how to effectively care for my grandfather during the end stages of his Alzheimer's disease. They were able to deal with his frequent breakdowns and mental lapses and also his occasional aggressive behavior in a very calm and tame manner that did not demean him in any way shape or form. They were also very responsive and patient with any concerns or questions that we had as a family. In the assisted living facility where my grandmother currently resides, the attitude is much the same however we have had much more limited contact with the staff here as my grandmother is much more functional and independent thereby requiring less contact between us and the staff. From the limited experiences we have had with the staff here, we have still been quite impressed with their demeanor and calm manner with residents. "

"My Grandfather stayed at The Village of Westerville Nursing Center for two and a half weeks for rehab after his hospital stay. He has emphysema and had gotten bronchitis and pneumonia. During his stay he needed breathing treatments four times per day. The first few days he did not receive his breathing treatments on time and once they even woke him up at midnight because they had gotten the schedule mixed up. That was quite upsetting for the family since these breathing treatments were a very important part of his recovery. He did however receive wonderful physical therapy from very pleasant therapists. He also had two nurses who were sisters who were very good to him and he enjoyed talking with. The food was not bad but the menus that we filled out weekly for my Grandfather were frequently incorrect. They even kept the papers that we filled out and we could see what they missed on his tray. From my review you can see there were some things we liked and others we did not but overall if the family is very involved with their loved one's care then I would recommend this facility. "

"When I visited this assisted living provider, I went to sing Christmas carols with the residents. My high school's Key Club volunteered to do this to spend time with the residents. The residents seemed like they enjoyed the company and the bright holiday cheer we brought with us. The staff was very appreciative that we came to visit and were glad to help us. The building seemed very nice for the residents because it was decorated. We sung songs with them and passed out cookies and drinks. We also talked to some of the residents and they told us they really enjoyed our company and the fact that we came to see them. I think that the residents really enjoyed our visit and I am glad that I got to visit the residents. My grandma used to go to this assisted living provider and although I never got the chance to visit her while she stayed there, I was happy with the building and I think it was a great place for her to stay. "

"My mom was a resident of Taylor Springs Health Campus. They helped her with activities of daily living, provided nourishment and nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Unfortunately, they were short staffed, but the staff did as well as they could, and they tried their best to prevent her from false and unnecessary incontinence events and things like that. Her room was exceptional. They had a family brunch while we were out there and the food was delicious. They have a very nice rehabilitation gym, and a beautiful campus where you can walk your loved ones. If they have mobility challenges you can walk them around the campus. Sometimes the staff will walk your relatives around so they can get fresh air. It is a nice, locked facility where only certain members of your family have access. They also have lovely dining rooms for the staff. Then they have events for the residents that are just lovely with live music. They encourage folks to get dressed up for those events, so it gives it just a light, cheerful, going out to dinner type feel versus being in a place of confinement. Their physical therapy really did wonders for Mom. When she went in, she was unable to walk, but when she left the facility, she was able to at least negotiate a short walk into the car, so that was a tremendous accomplishment."

"My mom stayed at Friendship Village for rehab. They have a beautiful facility for assisted and independent living. The only thing I disagreed with was their skilled nursing, which had everyone mixed together. They had memory care, long term and short term care, and pretty much everybody in the same area. The people there were nice and took good care of my mom. The rehabilitation area was very nice for PT and OT. The food was very good and delicious. My mom was in a nice, big, private room, with plenty of space and a bathroom in it, but it was a little dated."

"My husband is now at Forest Hills Center. I chose it because it was available and it's nice. I like it, and he does, too. They play games and they do things with them. They listen to music, and they go bowling with the clients. They have different activities. He likes to dance, and they dance. The staff seems nice, attentive, and caring. Every time I have been there, they have been very nice and caring to my husband and to the other clients. The food looks good, and my husband eats it all. I have seen him eat everything that they bring. It's a nice place."

"Convenient location, the week day staff is good. They seem a bit strapped on weekends and holidays. I have had two parents come here for rehab. The physical therapist, nutritionist and social work team really seem to care. "

"My brother is at Edgewood Manor of Westerville. The food needs improvement. It's a nice place, but it's expensive when you have to pay out of pocket. The therapists are nice, friendly, and they all seem to care. They have a movie day there as well."

"Although parking was a pain, the staff was very nice which made up for that. The facility had a pleasant atmosphere. The walls were nice and bright. Staffing really cared about the well being of the patients and the patients families. The halls were very organized related to the illness of the patient. The administrator demonstrated a caring for the employees. There were no foul smells in the halls. The patients seemed pretty content. Now the dining area didnt seem too fancy, compared to other rehab facilities. The dining seems pretty small, barely enough room to seat all the people and the supporting staff. I found myself almost hitting my head on a hanging light above a table. Dietary doors were right there where we can hear almost everything said in the kitchen. Never the less, the staff were content and the atmosphere seemed bright. I would recommend Minerva Park to anyone needing rehab services in the Columbus Ohio area. "

"Right now, I'm in Allbridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It's very good. They're very attentive to your needs and medical care. Their food is pretty good. They also help you follow whatever diet you're already on. Upkeep and maintenance are pretty good. They clean it just about every day. They're very quick to address any needs you might have. They have a few activities like bingo, they're making Christmas tree ornaments and stuff like that."

"The staff at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor was excellent and very well trained. They were great with their patients. Their rooms were wonderful and they have excellent surroundings. "

"I heard about Johnstown Point (JP) from a good friend and then at our monthly Senior Meeting, Tracy of Admissions for (JP) gave a very nice presentation. It was because of her I chose (JP) for my rehab. The grounds are immaculate and the facility clean and well maintained. I had re-constructive left knee replacement surgery and my experience at (JP) was amazing. It was not at all what I expected or what I have heard all my life. The Staff, Nurses, Nurses Aids, Technicians, LPN's, Kitchen Staff and House Keeping were all incredibly warm, friendly and caring people. The Staff took care of all my needs even the smallest request like a snack from the kitchen, a cookie or pretzels and always with a smile. Their greetings made me smile, "Hello Sunshine", "Hi Sweet Heart" and "Good Morning Beautiful". They lie with a smile but I didn't care. They are smart and dedicated and I wanted to say thank you for making my stay a pleasant and memorable one."

"My grandfather was extremely unhappy at Northview, eventually he was moved to a new senior living center. They seemed to be understaffed, the building seemed nice enough from the outside but maintenance could have been better kept up, but I believe the biggest problem was the understaffing. Waiting for assistance was not a pleasant experience, and as much as both the resident and government pays to the facility I found the meals, rooms, and activities to be quite subpar from what my grandfather or his family expected. Employees of the facility smoke at the front of the property by the roadfront, something else I found extremely distasteful for a healthcare operation. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful, though as previously stated overworked and understaffed. Would I recommend this facility to others? Probably not, we found grandfather a much better facility that was not much further away, better care and a better overall living environment than Northview. "
