"Family Healthcare Center needs people that are medically certified. Some of the people I had from them were just terrible and they didn't want to work. I have advanced COPD but I'm able to shower myself, etc.; however, I do need help with housecleaning because that's what I can't do. At the start, I had three people from this agency and they were very poor. They need better people than these especially when it took them about two to three months before they found a good match for me. Fortunately, the fourth girl who has just started is great. She doesn't leave or run errands on my time and she doesn't sit and text on her phone like the others I had before her. She's in her 50's but she's great. She cleans well. She does laundry. She does everything and she's really efficient. In fact, she does things that she doesn't have to do. I'm really happy with her and I trust her pretty much. "

"My insurance sends a nurse out three times a week and a physical therapist two times a week from Elite Home Health Care. I have gotten excellent service from the caregivers, and the company checks in on me constantly. I am always getting a different nurse or somebody stopping by other than my regulars to call on me and check in on me. My insurance called me and said they were sending this nurse out three times a day to do my vitals and my medicines and check my blood. I also have a physical therapist working with me, trying to get my lungs to function as best that they can function under the circumstances. They consult with my doctors all the time. Yesterday, when the nurse was here, she had to take blood because of the medicines that I am on. The doctor has told me himself that he was very impressed with the nurses because they keep up on everything. He said that he gets good reports from them, so he was satisfied with them."

They're small enough that each patient matters and yet they still offer full service including nursing, aids, physical and occupational therapy, etc... I've been a patient of Capital Homecare for several years now and I have been very impressed. My nurse, Renee, has gone out of her way to help me on many occasions. She is very conscientious and always goes the extra mile to make sure I am as healthy as possible. When she noticed I was having a harder time walking she saw to it that I got physical therapy. When I was having bathroom problems she worked with my doctor and insurance company to increase my aid visits. My doctor's office is overbooked and often isn't overly responsive or proactive regarding my needs. The staff at Capital Homecare have always advocated for me and made sure that my doctors do what needs done. My nurse, Renee, has spoken with my insurance company directly on several occasions in order to coordinate my care and to ensure my needs are met. The aids at Capital Homecare are good people. "We got Mount Carmel Hospice for my husband before he passed away. They help in medication. The hospice doctor came in and basically said that. He wasn't going to make it out, and I will be able to get grief counseling through them. They were fantastic. They made you feel like you were family, that you mattered. The communication was great. They actually told me what to look for, if he was in pain and stuff like that, because he was comatose, so I didn't know if there was pain or not, so they showed me what signs to look for. I would recommend them to anybody. I was very satisfied."

They blamed the pharmacy but the nurses were the final link to the patient; they knew the patient was running out of meds; they didn't do anything about it....they didn't notify the patient's family or case management.
