Traditions at Stygler Road

My mom is at National Church Residences Stygler Road (Traditions at Stygler Road). They take really good care of her. She is in a private room. The room is pretty sparse, but it has a bed and a couple of tables and chairs. My mom is eating everything there, so I think food is OK. The dining area is very nice. They go on outings. They have a little bus, and they take people to various places in the community every Monday, so that's nice. I would recommend this place.

My mother-in-law was at National Church Residence for a while. She was supposed to stay there, but they decided they didn’t have any bedroom for her. We did not care for the facility at all. The aides there and the house was fine, but the administration and the business office was terrible. When the hospital discharged her, they sent her there for therapy. The staff was very good. The nurses and the aides were very good and very kind to her. The facility wasn’t as clean as others we've visited. She didn’t like it there at all. She was in a private room and it was small and it didn’t feel homey. She said she didn’t like it.

When I visited this assisted living provider, I went to sing Christmas carols with the residents. My high school's Key Club volunteered to do this to spend time with the residents. The residents seemed like they enjoyed the company and the bright holiday cheer we brought with us. The staff was very appreciative that we came to visit and were glad to help us. The building seemed very nice for the residents because it was decorated. We sung songs with them and passed out cookies and drinks. We also talked to some of the residents and they told us they really enjoyed our company and the fact that we came to see them. I think that the residents really enjoyed our visit and I am glad that I got to visit the residents. My grandma used to go to this assisted living provider and although I never got the chance to visit her while she stayed there, I was happy with the building and I think it was a great place for her to stay.
