My grandfather was extremely unhappy at Northview, eventually he was moved to a new senior living center. They seemed to be understaffed, the building seemed nice enough from the outside but maintenance could have been better kept up, but I believe the biggest problem was the understaffing. Waiting for assistance was not a pleasant experience, and as much as both the resident and government pays to the facility I found the meals, rooms, and activities to be quite subpar from what my grandfather or his family expected. Employees of the facility smoke at the front of the property by the roadfront, something else I found extremely distasteful for a healthcare operation. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful, though as previously stated overworked and understaffed. Would I recommend this facility to others? Probably not, we found grandfather a much better facility that was not much further away, better care and a better overall living environment than Northview.
