This place is absolutely horrible! The staff let my Mother lay for hours without changing her. They ignored her when she pushed her button or they would come and say they would be back but wouldn’t come back. They refused to give her pain meds when she asked they told her she didn’t need them even though she was prescribed them and could have them every 3 hours! She heard someone outside her door say is that the bitch! The staff are through agencies and some quit mid shift. I moved her to another facility that charges $1,000 less a month and takes better care of her!

This is my second review. My mother is in Speret Unit, the unit for dementia patients. The Unit Director, nurses and aids are very good and take as best care as they can for her. The issue is that there is not enough staff especially on the weekends. One-two aids for 16 patients is unacceptable & dangerous as is one nurse for approximately 30 patients. There has only been one & rarely 2 housekeeping staff for the entire building, and I wonder why that is? Overwork, not enough pay? If there is only one person to clean, then the offices and nurses areas should be cleaned by the person in those areas and the cleaning staff should keep the units clean. The floors & bathrooms are usually deplorable. Once a day (which doesn’t even always happen) is not enough with incontinent &/or mentally unstable patients. There has also only been one laundry person who I believe will be leaving in the middle of this month. Is the problem with the conglomeration? It looks like all of the staff is overworked & spread thin.

Altercare Newark North is not fit for a dog. My husband was there and treated terrible he had went into a coma and they just left him in his room to die didnt call doctor or squad. So called nurse “I’ve had it and left not even caring what was happening with him

Most of the staff is very good, the facility is understaffed, outdated, and the members of staff who aren't very good are outrageously horrible they seem to have forgotten that they are employees instead they choose to behave like rulers, the food for the most part is inedible and we are currently looking for a better facility to move my relative to, as far as amenities and activities we have seen none.

Altercare Newark North was nice. But my dad is still able to drive and drive around, so he's still not at the point to be in this facility. The staff is great, they're nice, and the facility is nice. The rooms were nice there. I thought it was in a nice area. I know everything about it was really nice and all their facilities are nice. I liked everything about the facility. The lady or coordinator took us through the facilities, I thought it would work out great if he's ready. It looked like everything I would need is there. Nobody looked in distress and everybody looked happy. The people seemed well cared for. The staff is very friendly, very helpful, answered every question we had and gave us information.

Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center is very good, and they treat you very well. If I had to stay somewhere, this is where I want to stay. The staff is very good. They don't have a whole lot right here, but what they have is very good. They've got bicycles and the bars, kinetic machines, and electronic ones, too. They've got very good people helping you. I have a shared room, and my roommate is fairly good.
