"Love the homey neighborhood concept! Each neighborhood feels like they are in a home - they are able to come out of their “bedroom” into a living room/dining room area. Staff are knowledgeable about the care - both medical and personal - my loved one receives.. Everyone seems to be very attentive and loving to my family member and myself - if there is ever an issue - it is dealt with very timely.. All in all - GREAT COMMUNITY!"

"Kensington Place Retirement Community is lovely. It doesn't feel institutional. The residents are all out and about and engaged. It is run by Lutheran Social Services and is a nonprofit, so it's a little bit different animal. They are on the same plane with the other facility in a different financial stratum. The people were five. The place was a five. It was very clean and well-kept. They have a nice long sidewalk outside for walking and a nice courtyard to sit outside in the back. They have great workout facilities for people to utilize. A personal trainer will assess them when they come into the building and set them up with a fitness plan. They're on staff, so they're there most days for at least part of the day if they have questions or need a little support. And if they want to set up further personal training sessions, then that would cost them, that would be a per session fee, but they have an initial like 10 hours with them just to get them established and going well on their own."

"I went over for an open house and was pretty much sold. They had ample-sized bedrooms separate from the living room. The staff seemed wonderful, and the food was top quality. They served us prime ribs, shrimps, and wine. They had a bar, beauty shop, and were getting ready to open a massage room."

"I visited Sage Park Memory Care & Transitional Assisted Living. I was only there an hour or so, but I'd have to say that it was very clean. It didn't have any kind of odor. They seemed to have a lot of activities on their activity list. It was a very nice facility. They have one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and studios. They have a theater, a beauty salon, and a little area where they have some parties. They have a couple places for people that are in wheelchairs to get baths. It had big showers where you wheel them into. I didn't really talk to any staff, except the woman that was showing me around."

"I've been to Carroll Place when I had a friend out there, but I didn't actually take a tour. It was very nice, clean, and neat. The rooms were very nice. It had a small kitchen, quite a large room with a bed, and a place for a desk and a chair, and the bathroom was very nice and handicap accessible. I heard the food is excellent. The staff seemed very nice and attentive."

"I visited The Avalon of New Albany's memory care. The staff that we interacted with stopped and introduced me to some other staff members. They seemed very happy at their job and very engaged in the activities that they were providing for the residents. I felt like they weren't being prompted, but they were giving me their honest emotions and feelings on the job. There is an outdoor space, but because the memory care unit is not on the first floor, the memory care residents don't have access to it without someone going with them. I was disappointed in that. Of the overall tour, that would be the only thing that was any kind of a disappointment to me. Other than that, it was clean, and there seemed to be a variety of activities."

"I toured the Reflections Retirement Community. The staff was friendly. They were very caring and very helpful. They do have a library, and I believe they do exercise or some physical activities there. It fits our needs best because some of them are way too out of her budget."

"My dad moved to Harrison on 5th by Senior Star. The staff was very hands-on and caring. It's a great place. The food is very delicious. This community has only been here for a year, it's a very nice community. They have an activities director. She's very hands-on. She always has a little project and things for them to do. They have a movie theater but as far as memory care, they do arts and crafts. They have different stations set up depending on where the residents may be at that time. They could be resorting back to childhood, and so there's a little area for things like baby dolls. They have garden sections. They have a grocery store section. They have a pool section. They do a lot to keep them active. They have a very nice outdoor space."

"My great grandpa died on Saterday May 23rd at this place his chose to stay at this place to his death. He was a very wise man, and if he chose here it must've been good. "

"My father has been in for a week now. I think the place looks fine. I haven't seen too much of it because of the Coronavirus other than going to the front door, but everything I've seen on the outside was clean and the entranceway looked good. The people I've talked to seemed good, too. I'm happy with it. He's in a private room right at the moment for quarantine."

"Bickford of Lancaster was very nice. They had a lot of different activities for the people that live there. They take their residents out to eat, plant flowers, and take them on field trips. They showed me a couple of rooms. I liked the bathrooms, the walk-in shower, and had grab bars already in place. I looked at a studio and a one-bedroom, and they were both nice. I liked that you could have a little refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffeemaker in the rooms."

"I will move into The Village of Westerville. The first thing was that the facility manager invited me and my friend to have lunch there, and the food was delicious. It's very nice on the first floor, and the courtyard at the back. I'm very impressed by the whole facility. Everyone was friendly. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They had a small refrigerator and a small stove. The building is built like a square, with a courtyard in the middle. They also have seating spaces in front of the building and different places outside."

"The Carriage Court of Grove City looked nice. They had recently painted the entire interior and were replacing all the carpet, so it was looking nice. I toured a couple of the rooms where people were living and how they had them decorated, and they looked nice and they looked spacious. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very nice, I liked her a lot. She was very, very helpful, she kept in touch with us, and gave us all the information we needed. I saw their dining area, it looks nice and clean and it was big, but I did not try the food. I saw a bunch of the residents getting on the shuttle bus and heading out for lunch. So they're excited about that, that was fun. They've got a lot of activities scheduled there. I met a bunch of the people that worked there and everybody was friendly. The facilities looked very clean. However, it was a little cluttered because they were still replacing the carpet but the section they have done looks nice."

"My mom will be moving into Oakleaf Village of Columbus. They were offering a one-bedroom for the price of a studio. It had a small kitchen. The facility seemed clean. Some of the stuff has aged, but I know they're updating rooms as they go. So the room we were looking at was updated. They had an activity page, and it seemed good. They had a small, curvy pathway. There were some shades of trees, and I like that. There was a little garden with flowers. We liked the tour director."
