Staff are knowledgeable about the care - both medical and personal - my loved one receives.. Everyone seems to be very attentive and loving to my family member and myself - if there is ever an issue - it is dealt with very timely.. All in all - GREAT COMMUNITY!"

"I toured Kensington Place Retirement Community. I like the apartments. The assisted living and the memory care apartments were the same size as the independent living. They had a nice layout for community areas and a nice outside area where people could sit. It's very nice. The staff members were all friendly and they related well to the residents. The facility was very well made."

"We found StoryPoint for my mom who had some pretty serious care needs. The staff worked with us every step of the way to ensure that my mom got the best medical care. The nurses and caregivers at StoryPoint are some of the most kind, caring and highly skilled people I have ever met. They went above and beyond everyday for my mom and for me too. The overall "people community" that StoryPoint Gahanna North has built is pretty special too. The residents are welcoming, fun, and always friendly. Yes, there are plenty of activities going on all the time, but at StoryPoint, I witnessed a genuine connection between the residents and the staff. I am so relieved and grateful that I found StoryPoint for my mom."

"Sage Park Memory Care & Transitional Assisted Living was a five because of the level of care that they give, a very clean environment, and it felt very safe. The tour and the amenities that they have were really nice. It looks like they were very caring and very helpful information-wise. Everybody spoke when I was there. The common areas were really nice and clean. The rooms were very nice, clean, and big. I did like the fact that they had private rooms. The shared rooms weren't bad, but pricing is a little high for me."

"Carroll Place was very fresh smelling, clean, welcoming, and secure. I was impressed by the way it was secure for safety. The staff who gave the tour was outstanding. She's caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, warm, and approachable. They had everything you could want in your darkest hour. We saw people eating in the dining room, and the dining room was very accommodating. What we saw when we walked by the food looked good, and the caregivers were helping people get food they needed, or extra stuff. They also have an activity room. The staff shared a whole lot of things that they do in the plan. They had a therapy room, a workout room, a hair salon, and a library."

"My mother-in-law has moved into The Avalon of New Albany. She's only been there for three days, but so far, so good. I like it because there are a lot of people who are at the same level as she is. In her previous location, most of the residents were nonverbal, so she didn't have anybody to talk to but the staff. I've only had interaction with the staff on move-in date, so it was fine. The move-in coordinator and the nurse came in to speak with us. Communication was good. She has a nice-sized room. It came with a built-in, attached to the wall, closet like an armoire for her clothing, but we had to provide everything else. It's a studio apartment with her own private bath. She's been doing lots of activities like arts and crafts. They appear to have a lot going on, but they also have three levels. They have the senior living on the first floor, assisted living on the second floor, and then memory care on the third. Every time we're there, we see the bus hauling people in and out, like going out on little excursions or whatever. They seem to be a very active community. She eats grilled cheese every meal, so she seems to love it. As long as they have that available for her every meal, which they do, and that she's happy, then that's all that matters. The first two floors are very nice. The memory care is not very exciting. It seems dated on the third floor, and they could use some additional ventilation and deodorizing because when you have memory care, you have a lot of incontinent type of tenants. The smell is not pleasant, but her room is great. It's just that they need to take care of that. I am saving $3,500 a month by moving her there. She is having conversations with people. We're very happy we've moved her there."

"My dad moved into the Reflections Retirement Community. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They supply their appliances. It's got a refrigerator and a small stove. It's pretty roomy. It's like a one-bedroom apartment. They have different meal plans. If you're on the independent side, you could have a meal plan, or you could choose not to if you could make your own meals. They give you a selection of what's on their main menu. They go out into the community. They also do games and puzzles. There are all kinds of activities."

"Harrison on 5th by Senior Star is the place I like the best out of the four I've seen so far. Its appearance is very appealing. Everyone that I met were staff members and also residents. The staff members seemed very capable, very friendly, and very professional. The residents appeared, to me, to be very happy. The facility was very clean, very fresh looking, attractive, nicely painted, and appeared to be nicely maintained. The person who gave me the tour was Seneca. The reason I like this facility the best of the four I have seen so far is because she was so transparent about everything, about the costs and the charges for the level of care. With the others, there will be more work for me to figure out what it would cost for my cousin to go there or I won't be able to find out what they consider her level of care to be until after the assessment. At Harrison on 5th by Senior Star, based on my description of her needs, they came up with what they thought was the likely level of care cost, and they said this can change after they do an assessment in some way (in person or electronically), and then they could tell me for sure. They were the only one of the four that gave me an idea in advance right on the spot."

"I toured Brookdale Pinnacle for assisted living. The staff who gave the tour was lovely. Everything was impeccable. It was fine."

"I visited Westerwood. They have a lot of variation in services and a lot of things to do. I liked that place. The guy sat down, took a lot of time with me, and went over stuff with me. He went over everything thoroughly with me. I interacted with the receptionist there. She was very accommodating. The facility looked very nice. They had a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. They had a lot of different types of facilities. They had their bank in there. They had an actual weight room in there. They had a little bit of everything. Anything you wanted, they had there. They have somebody in there to help you walk better. They have physical therapy onsite. They have movie nights, and they have a choir. They have things to do all day long if you want to."

"My great-grandmother spent her final years at this facility and I couldn't thank and be more grateful for the staff who cared and provided for her. They were always very friendly and took the care of their patients very seriously"

"I will move into The Village of Westerville. The first thing was that the facility manager invited me and my friend to have lunch there, and the food was delicious. It's very nice on the first floor, and the courtyard at the back. I'm very impressed by the whole facility. Everyone was friendly. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They had a small refrigerator and a small stove. The building is built like a square, with a courtyard in the middle. They also have seating spaces in front of the building and different places outside."

"The Carriage Court of Grove City looked nice. They had recently painted the entire interior and were replacing all the carpet, so it was looking nice. I toured a couple of the rooms where people were living and how they had them decorated, and they looked nice and they looked spacious. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very nice, I liked her a lot. She was very, very helpful, she kept in touch with us, and gave us all the information we needed. I saw their dining area, it looks nice and clean and it was big, but I did not try the food. I saw a bunch of the residents getting on the shuttle bus and heading out for lunch. So they're excited about that, that was fun. They've got a lot of activities scheduled there. I met a bunch of the people that worked there and everybody was friendly. The facilities looked very clean. However, it was a little cluttered because they were still replacing the carpet but the section they have done looks nice."

"My tour of Oakleaf Village of Columbus was nice. It was a wonderful place. Britney was very knowledgeable about the facility. The room was nice; it was almost like an apartment and it could offer a great deal of independence to my mom. The facility was clean. What I liked most about the facility was that the dining room area was almost like a restaurant to the point where you could order food any time of day. It was like limitless food and it was included in your package. It looked almost gourmet-like; it wasn't cafeteria-style or undesirable looking. It was nice looking too, which to me was important. I think it was during Halloween that I was there, so everything looked nicely decorated. The staff was very pleasant and very warm."
