Assisted Living Communities in Lancaster, OH

"Middleton Senior Living is very clean. They seem to have a lot of activities. They try to involve people from memory care in some of the activities with the other members. My husband and I go to this place and play bridge with some of the women who are more with it. One of them is from independent living and the other one is from assisted living, and I know the woman who is in independent living, her husband is in memory care. So I have some familiarity with all of it. I see buses there at times because I know they take the memory care people on like little field trips. They have church services. They have different denominations. They will have a priest or reverend come in at times. So they try to keep them as involved with their faith life as they can. One of the staff is high energy. She knows everybody by their first name. She knows what kind of things they like to do. They have a little happy hour, and she knows what each one likes to drink. She's awesome."

"I chose Wexner Heritage Village - Creekside at The Village for myself. Everything was most welcoming. I got to sit down with one of their representatives. They've got a little cafe-type place that is open for coffee and stuff all the time, so we sat down in there and we chatted and then we went to a couple of different departments, discussed things like diet, which was one of the major decisions because I'm Jewish. They have primarily kosher-type meals. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and was very friendly. I didn't eat anything, but the dining area was nice. One of the things that I liked about that place was they've got continuum care. If you need further or more care, they can take care of that right in that location as opposed to having to move someplace else. They've got different buildings, but they go all the way up to hospice. It was pretty quiet, but then I was in the middle of the morning. They fit into my lifestyle. They have Jewish events as opposed to the typical Sunday service, etc. The staff has been very helpful and they've called back to check up on me several times. They've got nice apartments. The one I looked at wasn't one of their super-duper fancy ones. They got everything from basic one-bedrooms to two-bedrooms with balconies and all sorts of stuff. It was a nice, well-organized place with adequate customer care. They have a check-in in the morning. They have little buttons that you can just push to tell them everything's OK and if you don't push that button by 10:00 in the morning, they'll send somebody around to check up on you."

"I have visited emeritus at pinnacle many times and have always been impressed with the friendly and caring staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this building for someone looking for assisted living. It is also very clean, food looks great and they always have a fun and engaging activity going on. "

"I toured Kensington Place Retirement Community. I like the apartments. The assisted living and the memory care apartments were the same size as the independent living. They had a nice layout for community areas and a nice outside area where people could sit. It's very nice. The staff members were all friendly and they related well to the residents. The facility was very well made."

"My husband is in Sage Park Assisted Living & Memory Care. Everything is great there. The staff members were pretty good. They do the best they can. I just don't think they pay attention that much. They walk with my husband sometimes, and that's about it. They have activities. My husband has one bed. His room is very large with a bathroom, and it's always clean. The only complaint that I have is the laundry that they do. My husband lost two pairs of shoes and socks. I take clothes over there, and it just disappears."

"Carriage Court of Grove City was very nice. The people were very nice and the place was very clean. They're very, very willing to help us out with the paperwork and make sure that's good too. They've got a lot of arts and crafts stuff to keep your mind occupied, so that's that was one thing that we like."

"I have visited The Ashford of Grove City Assisted living for my grandmother. It's a beautiful facility, very well-maintained, and the staff was really friendly. All of the residents that we ran into, had a smile on their faces and it was a really pleasant surprise. It was a very nice facility. The staff who accommodated us was wonderful and very accommodating, she answered any questions we had. The whole process was nice. I didn't see any of the food, but the dining area was spectacular. They have a buffet-style breakfast and for lunch and dinner, you order off a menu like you're at a restaurant and you have servers that bring it to you. They were playing volleyball with pool noodles and a balloon in one of the rooms, and it looked really fun. Everybody was having a good time laughing, smiling, and they offer other things as well."

"My grandmother lived at the Sterling House of Lancaster before. It's a pretty place, definitely more homey than some others that I have seen. She liked that they had private apartments, so it wasn't like living in a big dorm or a hospital. I think the feeling of still having her own place helped her a lot. She always said the people working there were very nice and understanding, too. I think just the fact that she even let them help her, says a lot about how good the staff is, because she was very proud and never liked to accept help from anyone. It was a good place for her, and she enjoyed being able to socialize with other people while she was there. "

"Primrose Retirement Community of Lancaster was a five-star facility. It was very nice. It had everything anyone could possibly want. What stood out was the cleanliness and all of the different things to do. They had a bar, an ice cream parlor, activities, and a movie theater. They had assisted living and independent living. The staff was very professional."

"Bright, sunny and inviting they create an atmosphere of family and caring. I like they keep the residents engaged and activity. They aren't forgotten in their rooms like they only there to create a paycheck for someone. They are associated with the Lutheran Social Services and they seem to really love and care about the people they provide services too in this community. My Grandmother loves it there. "

"My mother will be moving into Carriage Court of Lancaster. It was really clean. The staff was friendly. I got to see him interact with some of the residents that are there. They encourage residents to take part of activities such as bingo or craft activities. They have all kinds of opportunities for the community to get together to do things. They talk to them respectfully. She is moving into a one-bedroom. It does not have cable, unless you pay extra for that, but they have a microwave and a mini-fridge in each room. They have studios, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom big enough for a married couple. There's a courtyard, an activities room, a dining room, and a room where you can have parties if you want to have a party with your family."

"My mother has resided at Amber Park for almost 3 years. Although a difficult transition for her, the staff has been attentive and compassionate. She is now very happy in her apartment . Mark, Rebecca , Tanika, Debbie , and all employees , have gone above and beyond. I am grateful for their kindness and dedication to her comfort."

"My mother has lived in Memory Care and Special Care at The Inn at Winchester Trails for well over a year. I live 5 miles away and visit her often. Yes it is beautiful, but, in my opinion the staff and the care she receives is by far the best we have ever encountered. (She has lived in 2 other communities previously) the Entire staff loves her and she loves them. Smiles, Encouragement, Hugs and Kisses are a norm. Her care has always been EXCELLENT. Anytime there is a change or problem, I am called 24hrs. A day. I am there often, I have NEVER seen anything but loving care of ALL THE RESIDENTS. Everyone is clean, well cared for and treated with love and respect. If a resident has a need it is addressed immediately no matter what is going on. There are nurses on duty 24/7. They are always happy to answer any questions you may have and happily do any special request you may have for your loved ones. There are many activities daily, field trips weekly. Performing Artist weekly, church services, and one on one time. Different ones gauged to different abilities of residents. I suspect that the lower grade reviews were from several years ago when Winchester first opened, it is now April 2019 and I have explored a vast number of communities and NONE can come close to the quality care The Inn at Winchester Trails provides."

"The rooms are a little smaller then some of the other assisted living facilities that i have looked in to. The staff is super friendly and there for all of the people living there. They make sure that the residents get warm meals and will cook them anything when ever they are hungry no matter what time of the day or night it is. The work well with my grandmother to help her dementia. The facilities are very nice and clean they are just a little small. "
