"My sister-in-law moved into Wedgewood Estates. She's very happy there and we feel that her needs are very well met. The grounds and the facility itself are very attractive. The layout is kind of like in quadrants. There's a sitting area with furniture, two counters and several chairs, and then the rooms open onto that. They have their own room and then they can gather into this sitting/living room area that's very homey. They can gather there to play games or puzzles or wait for a meal. They have people come in and give lectures. Someone comes in to play the piano. They have book reviews and bible studies. They have very adequate staff, and they have people who check on the residents every two hours. They come in to empty the wastebasket, to gather the laundry, and to check on your heat or your room temperature. They have reasons why they come in, so the residents don't feel like they're checking on them. The residents feel like they're coming in to give them a service."

"I toured Primrose Retirement Community of Mansfield. It was very good. They have a very nice facility. It's probably one of the newer facilities. It's very well taken care of. The eating area was quite grand. You could order off a menu that type of thing. But they were multiple floors. Still, it was a very nice place. They had a refrigerator in the room, and I think that was it. Of course, they provide three meals a day, so other than a refrigerator, I don't know that you would need anything in your room. The staff who gave the tour was very informative, too."

"This place was a god send for my brother. He could no longer live by himself and we found Dayspring. From the first visit with Erin we felt a comfort that our brother would fit in and be fine. He’s well taken care of. He gets fed well and to his Dr appointments. The folks at Dayspring look after him and he likes the staff."

"My friend and I visited Magnolia Terrace. She had her husband in there. I thought the place was very nice and clean. The staff were accommodating. He got along very well though he has Alzheimer's. He has a private room. It was great and everything worked out for him. "

"We're thinking of choosing St. Martin Assisted Living-Martin House for my brother because of the affordability. The facility itself was nice and the people that I met there were very nice. They were friendly and answered the questions that I had. I walked into a room, and to the right was a small kitchen, and there was an opening into the living room area. It had a door to a very small patio, a large bathroom, and there's closet space. They had a dining room, laundry area, and a beauty shop. The only thing I really didn't like was the closeness of the hallway, it's like a hotel-type setting."

"I spent three weeks in respite care at Brethren Care Village. It was very nice, and the food was wonderful. The facilities and help were very nice. I had a two-bedroom apartment with just a hospital bed, lift chair, and television set, but it was everything I needed. They had a library, salon, and a lot of activities. The staff was very nice. They had everything you wanted and you got to choose from a menu of more than one thing, so you could find something you really wanted to eat. The food was cooked very well. It's very expensive, but they provide top care."

"We placed our mom here after the loss of her husband/our dad, during a difficult behavioral phase of her dementia. The entire staff and their professional program continues to provide a very nice, safe and clean home environment for her. They are sincere and consistent in any communication needed with families, and I was very impressed with the variety of daily in-house and outing activities offered to the residents. I live quite far away from mom, and knowing she's living here is a huge reassurance."

"We visited The Willows at Willard. It's a very nice and clean place, and the people were very helpful and kind. I would 100 percent recommend them, and I would like to go there when I'm older. We looked at their independent living facility for my mom and we saw their nursing part too. It looked like a 4-star hotel, it's very nice. The staff that we met with were not pushy, they followed up but it wasn't like there was high pressure, and they answered any questions. They saw us two different times and took us through everything, they're very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information, and gave us ways where we can follow up and email them, which they answered promptly. They also offer house cleaning. It's all very nice and very well-run. They have what they call a clubhouse for independent living, and on Fridays, they have a cocktail hour where they have snacks, but not necessarily alcohol. Everybody that lived there could come to the community room where they have different activities like bingo, cooking classes, and different things. You can either be by yourself in your apartment or you can go down there and be with other people."

"I was able to be a visitor on several occasions to Hillside Acres Nursing Home facilities. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the grounds. Besides looking clean, it also had a clean smell to it. I have been in others, that one you walked in there was a distinct aroma that I did not experience here.The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I observed inter-reaction between staff and the residents and never say anything that I didn't like. I was there as the residents were getting ready to go to supper and everyone seemed eager to go to the dining area. I assumed that they enjoyed the food that was repaired for them. I liked the courtyards for the residents in the middle of the building, so that there were several entrances and exits to the courtyard, but no way to get out of the facility. The various residents had there area very personalized, even having plants and bird feeders hanging in the courtyard outside of the room windows. I was impressed in the facility and the staff members. "

"My dad moved to Orchard Park Assisted Living and the community is wonderful. We had a little problem when we got into the place, he got COVID again at the beginning. But other than that, it's a wonderful place. He's got a brand new room, it's freshly painted, and we were allowed to bring in whatever we wanted to make it home. The food has been good, he's not one to like vegetables, but they push them on him a little bit. He hasn't been able to go down there much because he was in quarantine after he got there and they pretty much isolated him to his room and brought the food to him. So he's been eating a lot in the room right now, so we haven't had a chance to enjoy the dining room yet. We like that the price is cheaper than where we were, that was the big thing. It's also much, much better than where we were and the staff is wonderful."

"My mom is in Country Club Rehabilitation Campus at Mt. Vernon. It's a nice facility. The staff is very friendly. My mom's room is a nice, fairly large room. I have no issues with the maintenance. Its upkeep seems to be fine. My mom likes the food and the meals are large."

"My cousin was in The Ohio Eastern Star Home for rehab. They have this nice facility. The people were all friendly and willing to help. They care about their residents. The food I think was very good, and my cousin did okay with the food. Their family could eat with them. In the section that she was in, they had a bird cage with nice birds for the people to enjoy. All I saw was the rehab center for exercising. They have different buildings where residents can be. In the dining area, there was a puzzle that anybody could work on."

"Bennington Glen is an assisted living facility located approximately half an hour north of Columbus Ohio. It is situated on a small hill with a very pleasant view overlooking a pond and large fields.There is on-site therapy and rehabilitation equipment with friendly and helpful staff. The whole facility is on one floor which is good for ease of access in a wheelchair or with a walker. All of the staff I had interactions with, from the nurses to the assistants, were very helpful and intelligent. More importantly, the residents I spoke with all had positive things to say about the facility and the staff, which is not always the case for these facilities.I have visited many other assisted living facilities over the years and in my experience with I was very surprised with the level of rapport the staff and residents have here. I got the feeling that the staff genuinely cares for their residents.In my opinion Bennington Glen is a very fine assisted living facility in central Ohio and I would have no qualms about having a family member choose it for their recovery. Easily a 5 star facility. "
