"My mother who is in the later stages of Alzheimers has been being cared for by Lanfair's Speret Hall for the past 6 years. The nurses and aides at Lanfair are so caring and really love these dementia patients. I would not want my mother to be anywhere else. "

"Homestead does my father's type of dialysis that's why he was sent there. It is all okay right now, but it is just a temporary thing. He is in a shared room but he would rather be in a private room. Since my father is happy there (which is hard to achieve), then the staff is just fine there. He is also very happy with the physical therapy. He doesn't complain about the food, so it must be okay too. "

"My husband is at Laurels of Heath. He has been there for a week. The care there is the best. They have a skilled care wing in this facility, so there are only 10 patients in the wing. And because my husband requires a full-time respiratory therapist, 24/7, which they have onsite. If you go to a normal nursing home, that's usually not available to you. It's extremely clean. The staff is all very experienced. Most of them have been there for over 15 years. And they're very caring. It's just been a great placement for my husband. When you walk in, it's extremely lovely. The lobby is lovely, and it's not crowded. There are no patients sitting all over the place. There's absolutely no odor anywhere in the facility. It is kept up impeccably. So when you walk in, it's very inviting. It's not overwhelming. The receptionist is easy to find. With this particular place, the first wing of the facility is the wing that handles skilled care. You're not walking through the whole facility to get to a wing for the people who are the most ill, and you don't see everything else going on. I just can't even tell you how nicely it's set up and how clean it is. The cleaning people, the nurses, and the aides, everyone is just wonderful. My husband is on a feeding tube, so he doesn't get any meals, and when I'm there, I always go out to lunch or breakfast because I stayed right in his room. His room is very, very large. I have a beautiful chair in there that tilts back and does everything. It has its own bathroom. I stayed in his room with him if I was down there for three days, four days, or two days. They have activities. They have speech therapists and occupational therapists. The activities lady came down to see me this week and we went through all of the things my husband likes so that she can specifically work directly with him. He loves music and he has his own music there. So I said just putting music on for him and letting him listen to some of his music or talking to him about motorcycles because he used to ride. So I gave her a lot of suggestions on what she could do. It's a one-on-one and it doesn't get better than that. I'm just very, very pleased with everything that goes on there. The administrators, the admissions, the receptionists, and all of the staff that care for my husband have just been lovely."

"Both of my parents have been at "Home" here. The staff has decorated the entire facility for the holidays and provide a festive and caring spirit through the care and attention they give the residents. I've come to this facility for the past four years and am impressed by the cleanliness of all areas. There is never an "institutional" feeling to the center, which is in-large part due to the friendliness and caring of the staff. "

"I have had several family members come to Arlingto for a short rehabilitation stay. They were all treated well and got great therapy. The activities are great and they have other games and such when there are no activities going on. The food is pretty good, and I love the little diner. The rehab rooms are also very nice. Oh and there is wifi everywhere you go."

"Flint Ridge was very nice. They were clean, and they had a lot of functions for the residents. My mother was there, and she was treated very well. The staff people were very polite, very attentive, and helpful. The apartments were small, but they had everything my mother needed. "

"I am currently here for post op recovery. The staff is kind and helpful. The food is rather lousy, but it is a nursing home not a restaurant. The PT and OT staff are awesome, they are great at getting you mobile again. They tend to use coordination games and you don’t realize you are workin, so to speak. It may take a moment for your call light to get answered but, this is sadly because they are understaffed like MOST of these facilities. So if you need something be percistent but don’t be rude and it will get taken care of. This one is far better than Heath, people die there, and Arlington may call itself skilled but they turned me away because they did not know what my immune disorder was or how to handle it. (Even though they don’t, I do) The rooms are spacious and you won’t have a room mate but you might share your bathroom. (It is sort of like a college dorm where two room are connected by a bathroom minus a private shower) You have a unit in your room to be able to control your heat/AC. So you can adjust the temperature in the room for yourself/your loved one. Is it perfect? No! Are you going to find golden angels singing to welcome you? No! You are going to find overworked under appreciated staff who are sometimes the only people some of the residents in here have seen for 5, 10, 15, or more years. You know since their so called families dumped them here and spilt. You know what you will find? People who, despite the fact that they just held the hand of a dementia patients hand while they cried because they don’t know where they are, is now greeting you with a tired smile while they try to do their best to address the concerns you have for your loved ones. The issues aren’t the staff, and it isn’t perfect, as a resident I will tell you that. If my insurance would have let me go somewhere like Kindle I would have, but it won’t. I am just happy my current insurance (Medicade) pays for me to go to an SNF because when I was on my parents insurance it had been deemed medically unnecessary many times. So in my case beggars can’t be choosers really. "

"My friend is in the rehab center called Arbors at Carroll. The therapy staff there, which is why he's there, are excellent in terms of taking care of his needs both physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. All and therapists there were great. As with many facilities like this, they're somewhat short-staffed right now, which would probably be the largest negative, but I think you find that everywhere in current times. Overall, enjoyed the food and like the roommate that he has, they match them up well, which is good. They're very attentive. With COVID now, they're very careful and cautious with visitors and making sure that they mask up and give them shields, too. They're very careful and very serious about keeping all that stuff at bay, which is always good to know in those types of facilities. That's the environment that they're in and they're doing a good job of dealing with that the best that they can. We've been happy with being able to talk to the people we need to talk to when we need to talk to them. And my friend had a lot of medical appointments with rehab and they've been great with the transportation with that too so that's all been very good. Overall, it's a very, very positive experience. Most of it was paid through insurance and they haven't gotten a bill yet. He didn't participate in them but they offer activities."

"My husband spent 20 days there while recovering from a strok.e. The staff was outstanding. From the administration to the aides, they all went out of their way to do the best job they could do. They truly seemed to care for the patients. They were always gentle and interacted with the patients in a loving way.. I think the housekeeping seemed to be hit or miss. The therapists were very good. "

"My father stayed at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Lexington, Ohio. He had fallen and broken his hip and needed to recover before returning home to my mother's care as she was not able to lift and bathe him by herself. The care was mediocre at the center; they seemed to be understaffed with nurses' aides. They seemed to have plenty of other staff. My father overall had a good experience there, his biggest complaints were only getting to shower two times and week and the cold coffee. I personally found it to be very noisy and crowded. I don't think the patient rooms were big enough and I am not sure how he ever slept because of the loud talking and people making noise. I will say it appeared very clean and I did not notice any bad smells. The staff was friendly and seemed willing to help the patients in any way they could. My father was only there about 90 days and he was certainly glad to get home, because like they say there is no place like home. "

"Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center is very good, and they treat you very well. If I had to stay somewhere, this is where I want to stay. The staff is very good. They don't have a whole lot right here, but what they have is very good. They've got bicycles and the bars, kinetic machines, and electronic ones, too. They've got very good people helping you. I have a shared room, and my roommate is fairly good. "

"My uncle was in this nursing home after he left the hospital. All the staff we encountered were very kind, lots of smiles. We only had a few concerns come up during the stay, but they were nothing serious and they were quickly addressed by management. The rooms are small, but the kindness of the workers make up for it. My uncle didn't really want to participate in therapy, but the therapists were awesome and figured out ways to get him to work with them. He didn't care for the food, but he was always a picky eater. The food looked fine to me. The CNA's were really good about offering something different if he didn't like what was served. He didn't go to any activities, but that was him choosing not to go, it was nothing against the department. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. "

"My mother is staying currently at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community for her PT and recovery. She is very satisfied with the facility. The rehab floor was more clinical in terms of the accommodations. Her room was more like a hospital room. Recently, she was moved to the first floor because she had to transition to respite care. Then they moved her into an apartment, which I haven't seen yet. They had book club and bingo. When she was in rehab, they would provide her with a menu, and it was fairly extensive and varied. I don't recall her complaining too much about the food. The one piece that would maybe bring their rating down was she had a lot of problems with the television in her room, and it wasn't being addressed. They sent in a maintenance person to try to get it taken care of, but it continued to be a problem throughout the period of her stay. It was only within the last couple of weeks that it was resolved. The TV was really her only distraction, and she couldn't really watch it the way she was hoping to. I was a little disappointed that given the cost of the facility, they didn't just simply replace the TV immediately. There was an effort on two occasions to send somebody to fix the problem though. If I were the one staying there, I would have been a little more aggressive in getting it taken care of. My mother was more accepting of the problem than she should have been. I wouldn't penalize them too greatly on that."

"Our mom is on the waiting list at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Winchester Place. We liked its locked-down facility, and the patients really seemed very happy. The place was very nice and very clean. In between the two facilities for Alzheimer's they have a little arbor place that has a huge tent to keep anybody in or out, and it was really nice. They had a little bench out there and there's a bird feeder. The second time that I went in there with my mother, they were having dancing to oldies, and they were all there and it was fun. I would give it four stars because it is not me and it is not my home, and I also don't like that they have to share rooms. "

"Mom went to hospital with pneumonia and after leaving she needed after care and rehab. We chose this place because mom's friend just spent several weeks here. I use to listen to staff, unknowingly to them. They never were derogatory towards any patient, always seemed genuinely concerned. The place is clean, smells good. Not like some nursing homes. Anytime mom rings for assistance staff are quick to respond and never seem put out or agitated. I'm glad mom is here and hope she can be placed here permanently when the time comes. "

"I was in Canal Winchester Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living for a month. The therapy was amazing. It was just the personal care you got was bad. I will wait for a half-hour to an hour to have a bedpan put on me. I wasn't allowed to get out of bed, so I had no other option. The rooms were nice for the most part. The upkeep was nice. The hallways and the building itself all looked nice. And it looked like they have been updating some stuff. The manager did come to see me because of the complaints that I had. I think he tried to address them, but they're short-staffed. Their food was equivalent to cafeteria food. They had some activities. I didn't check any of them out because I wasn't allowed out of bed."
