My mother-in-law is in Main Street Terrace Care Center. It's very nice. She is fortunate because she's in a new addition that was built about two or three years ago. She is in one of the newer rooms. They have some staff who are very good and very caring. But as far as the aides go, it seems like they're starting to get a lot of change over, which is common. They have an activities room. They do a lot of chair volleyball and balloon volleyball, they do bingo, and they do crafts. They have an actual monthly layout of what they're going to do. The food seems to be very good. They are very attentive to specific needs or desires as far as how stuff is prepared.

Both of my parents have been at "Home" here. The staff has decorated the entire facility for the holidays and provide a festive and caring spirit through the care and attention they give the residents. I've come to this facility for the past four years and am impressed by the cleanliness of all areas. There is never an "institutional" feeling to the center, which is in-large part due to the friendliness and caring of the staff.

My mother is in Main Street Terrace. It is extremely clean, probably the cleanest place like this that I've been in. There is never any odor, which is a problem in so many similar places. The food is of good quality, and the people seem very friendly and very caring. They have a lot of extracurricular things, like little parties, taking them out for excursions, and getting them to their doctors' appointments.

Overall I give it a three because the facility was kind of dirty. You could tell around the area where the floor meets the walls. It was caked with dirt and other stuff. The staff was friendly, but yelled at the patients too much in my opinion. I visited roughly 15 to 20 times and every time I walked into the place someone was yelling at a patient. It just seemed unprofessional in my opinion. The food was average from what I could tell. The part that I was impressed with was the care. My uncle never got one bed sore or anything else when he was there. I have had other relatives in nursing homes and it is important they get rolled or turned regularly. I was impressed with the way the nurses and the aids checked on my uncle and other patients regularly. It is not something I have seen occur often in other nursing homes.
