My room was great. The nursing staff was average to fantastic (a tag team aka bo-joe). Nurse always present. Food was average at best. If you like eggs, eat there. only major problems was lack of communication between groups and scheduling (getting a shower) The PT group is second to none. They worked as a team, pushing you hard and had full understanding of your needs. worked you to meet goals and exceed them. Con's: need more communication between organizations. A team effort is not one person doing the work

My dad went to Homestead Care and Rehab, and so far, he gets plenty of PT and speech therapy. They seem to be very attentive with him, and I'm pretty happy with what they do. However, it's an old place. The staff has been good.

Homestead does my father's type of dialysis that's why he was sent there. It is all okay right now, but it is just a temporary thing. He is in a shared room but he would rather be in a private room. Since my father is happy there (which is hard to achieve), then the staff is just fine there. He is also very happy with the physical therapy. He doesn't complain about the food, so it must be okay too.

My first memories of this nursing home was when I was in middle school, the choir would sing carols for Christmas here. When my grandmother was placed in their care shortly thereafter, I remembered the nice decorations and the friendly atmosphere. On our visits the people seemed friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was when my grandmother began to have congestive heart failure, the nurses did not notify our family right away. They explained that they were waiting to see if she declined any further before letting us know. My grandmother was a very particular woman and they were good about getting her what she needed and paying attention to her special needs.
