My husband is now at Forest Hills Center. I chose it because it was available and it's nice. I like it, and he does, too. They play games and they do things with them. They listen to music, and they go bowling with the clients. They have different activities. He likes to dance, and they dance. The staff seems nice, attentive, and caring. Every time I have been there, they have been very nice and caring to my husband and to the other clients. The food looks good, and my husband eats it all. I have seen him eat everything that they bring. It's a nice place.

While my father was there, staff refused to change him. He had dementia, I was told he had rights. if he did not want to be changed, they did not have to change him he would sit in saturated, pull-ups, and it would soak clean through his clothes. My father recently passed away with an infection that was preventable. He ended up having sores on his feet and the skin was literally pilling off. He had bruising down on his lower stomach and around his wrist. Staff could explain to me where they came from. One person told me maybe he was walking into the walls even though my father sat in a wheelchair most of the time. They also gave him a broken wheelchair his foot got caught on the broken pedal strap, and he fell. I caught him and tore the ligaments in my wrist. Someone kept going into his closet, which had 2 locks on it. and was urinating in his laundry basket, and this started after me asking the nurse about the bruising on his body. I have recordings of the same nurse making threatening remarks. I reported her and nothing was done about it she continues to work at the facility. Someone was taking dirty pull ups and putting in my father's laundry basket because we did his laundry and they mixed it in with his dirty clothes. Someone was taking his dirty clothes and mixing it in with clean clothes they also was making his bed with pads that had urine on it. And covering them back up with dirty blankets, I have recordings of me speaking with the nurse about that. And him apologizing, you can smell the urine, and you can see the wet pads on the bed. I have pictures of everything that I am saying. To know that my father went through what he did is the most heartbreaking thing a daughter can ever experience. I can't imagine what he was going through when I was not around.
Beautiful butterfly.

Residents don't get changed every 2 hours. Medication is not given, like it should. Residents have bed sores and skin break down. Showers is not given on shower days. Staff won't stay off their phones and watch the residents. Staff sleeps in residence rooms.

My sister in law has been a resident for 5 months and we have found the staff to be very kind, loving and helpful toward ALLl the patients. There have been a couple of issues that we needed to speak with the director about and he has always been very quick to address and correct the issues. The neurologist has been able to help our family member a lot too. The rooms are spacious, and clean and have their own thermostat control. The calendars are full of activities. Our sister in laws roommate is bed fast but the staff removes her from the bed each morning and takes her out to socialize. To date, we've only had 1 article of clothing that has come up missing. I would definitely recommend this place if someone was in need of a good facility.

My mother is resident and has been for nearly 4 years now. For the most part we (my sisters and I) have no complaints and the people on staff seem to do a pretty good job but my sister who resides in Columbus, Ohio is the main caregiver for my mother continues to buy my mother nice clothing but her clothes continue to come up missing like a disappearing act. My sister decided earlier this year that she would just bring my mother's clothes weekly and wash her items at home instead of allowing the staff at the Cente too do so but that still is not working. So last month my sister started taking the clothes for my mom every 3 days on hangers with the days of the week like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. but then when she returns on Thursday to get those dirty clothes and bring more clothing for the remainder of the week, more of the clothes my sister brought for my mom is gone again. I just believe dressing my mother each day with clean clothes -- her clothes that my sister continues to buy for her is about the easiest thing the staff at Forest Hills can do for my mother. We choose not to have her in the same clothing every day but we seem to be at a lose/lose because this has been going on for the past 2 years and my sister is not getting much relief or help from the Head Administrator there. We just don't know what do from this point! Thanks for listening, Mad Houston Daughter

Forest Hills Center was fine. The people were very nice, and when we reach a phase where that may become necessary, this would definitely be in considerations.

I placed my husband in Forest Hills one month ago but had been in contact with them for a year. My husband has dementia and I could no longer care for him at home. From the meals to their activities, they provide excellent care and service. The staff is warm and friendly.
