It is my 1st and ONLY experience with Bennington Glen in Marengo and my LAST. Everyone at that facility wants you to believe that they care about you and providing the best care to your family member and being totally upfront and honest about everything as far as care, billing, and keeping you informed as to what is going on with it as well, but let me tell you about my 1st hand experience with them. Bennington Glen in Marengo is VERY deceitful , they don’t care about you or the family member in there care, they don’t keep in informed until 1 week of things having to be done and getting things done asap, then you have to scramble to get things done, including taking time off your work (without pay) to accommodate their requests. They tell you they wont leave you in the dark and leave you hanging so you don’t have a big bill owed. THATS A LIE. They notified me April 22nd that my mother’s life insurance policy couldn’t be in her name otherwise it would cause her denial of Medicaid. They knew this in March and said NOTHING leaving us with a big Patient liability bill, THEN told us that if the amount due wasn’t paid in full by the end of the month they would be issuing a 30 day notice of our family member being removed from the facility. So Bennington Glen in Marengo doesn’t care where you get the money or what accounts you have to drain or more less how you are going to pay your current bills as long as they get there money causes they are ONLY WORRIED ABOUT MONEY, MONEY MONEY, NOT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER. Bennington Glen thinks the world revolves around them and there requests and to hell with you and what you have to do to comply. To notify someone 1 week before the end of the month and expect you to be able to pull money out of your ass, and I’m not talking about a couple hundred dollars I’m talking about thousands of dollars. The staff there is very deceitful, not forthcoming and I wouldn’t even trust them caring for any family member, let alone my dog. And when you have a meeting with them other staff ease drop on your meeting and its not even in there position of current employment there and have nothing to do with it but yet will butt into your meeting and add their 2 cents. They are very unprofessional. DON’T TRUST ANY OF THEM CAUSE THEY JUST LIE TO YOU TO BENEFIT THEMSELVES AND TO HELL WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER. The ONLY RESON I GAVE THEM 1 STAR IS BECAUSE IT WONT LET ME SUMIT UNLESS I PUT SOME, BUT IN ALL REALITY THEY DON’T EVEN DESERVE A STAR OR REVIEW OR TO BE IN BUSINESS. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOULD SHUT THEM DOWN. They have had multiple complaints to the health department that they had to send not 1 but 2 Inspectors to investigate them all. If you trust your family member to them, then you are of FOOL. WE WILL BE PULLING OUR FAMILY MEMBER OUT AND IF I WAS YOU I WOULD DO THE SAME BEFORE IT IS TO LATE.

Our experience with Bennington Glen was outstanding. They did a great job. They took good care of my wife all the time she was there. The staff was great and they even brought me lunch or coffee every time I went in. They gave me what I needed. They come in every day and clean her room. It's one of the outstanding nursing homes in the area.

We had my mom at Bennington Glen. The place is close to us and we know some people who worked there. The facility is nice. The staff are good and we liked them a lot. I think they are understaffed but other than that the people who do work there are very good. The facility itself is fairly new so it's well kept and well maintained. The rooms are small especially if you have two people in them. I think they could be a little bigger, but they are small. There is not a lot room for extra thing. They have a lot of activities about four to five different activities every day.
