"I liked Stone Oak, I liked the people, and there were lots of activities going on. I went back to an evening music presentation and ate some goodies. It was brand new, around 60% occupied, and everything looked it. The food was a bit bland, but you have an option to order a special meal if you wanted, like in a restaurant."

"I think we've been to The Bristol a few times already. The physical appearance was fantastic, especially the fourth floor was looking out over to the back and a large patio where you can see the woods. It was just beautiful and the apartments were reasonably sized. The staff was very cooperative. They kept in touch with us but didn't bother us. They've been very attentive but not pushy. We also tried the food and we enjoyed it. They had a movie theater and an exercise area. It was very comfortable and several people were very nice enough to let us go into their apartments, and they're very generous in sharing their thoughts. They all had a very positive attitude."

"The Ashford at Sturbridge is phenomenal. Everything's A+. They're topnotch. I've been really pleased so far. Their dining area is nice and clean and there's plenty of room. They have a calendar that shows what they can do every day. They can go out to breakfast, they take them shopping, and they play bingo and do certain activities. My mother's room is nice, clean, and fairly new."

"We were very happy with The Forum at Knightsbridge. It looked really good. We were very happy with the people who we met. They were very friendly and very professional. There seemed to be plenty of people there to take care of my mother. "

"The Coventry Senior Living was very pretty. It's only been there for 14 months so it was the newest with the biggest rooms and the most activities. I met the woman who gave me a tour, I met two nurses, the chef, the dining room supervisor, and the receptionist. All of them are very friendly. They stopped at the table where we were talking and chatted for a few minutes. All of them stopped, except the receptionist, because she had to stay in the lobby. I did not eat there but I talked to the chef. He said that they don't open cans and they don't freeze their vegetables. All of their vegetables are fresh. That's the only place where I got any information about food. I just don't know what it would cost for my cousin to go there, and that was the drawback. They were a little vague. They said they're willing to do an assessment, even if we haven't decided she's coming, like on FaceTime or something, because my cousin is not local. So, they said they could do a long-distance assessment, then they could tell us which level of care she would be in. If I were younger and had unlimited time, I could do all these assessments and find out exactly what it would cost everywhere, but I'm not younger. They've got a beautiful library and three dining rooms connected to each other. It's beautifully laid out. It's in a busy neighborhood, a construction zone, so I wouldn't give the neighborhood a high mark, but the facility is beautiful. There's a parking garage."

"We chose Paramount Senior Living at Polaris because they had the medical attention they could give to my dad and they've been very polite. The meals taste good and there was plenty of it. They have a lot of activities, too. They have a courtyard and inside the building, they've got a nice dining area and a nice craft area. Their rooms were large for all the people that were there."

"I am living in United Church Homes - The Polaris Community. I love living here. I like the studio apartment that I live in. I have cancer, and it's easy for me to take care of myself in this studio apo go for chemotherapy every Friday, and they are extremely good about taking me back and forth to my chemo, so I would say the transportation service is the best amenity here. They have a salon inside the building. The staff is the best part here. They're the ones that take me on the transportation services while I do some of my chemo. They always make sure I have my meals. The meals could be a little better. It's a very pretty place. It's very reasonably priced."

"My father is at Oakleaf Village. The people are very friendly and nice. The room is beautiful. The pricing is fair. They have things going on all the time, but my father does not partake of them. The dining setup looks a little small to me. Dad said the food is good, though I have not eaten there. Overall, Dad is happy there. "

"My dad moved to Harrison on 5th by Senior Star. The staff was very hands-on and caring. It's a great place. The food is very delicious. This community has only been here for a year, it's a very nice community. They have an activities director. She's very hands-on. She always has a little project and things for them to do. They have a movie theater but as far as memory care, they do arts and crafts. They have different stations set up depending on where the residents may be at that time. They could be resorting back to childhood, and so there's a little area for things like baby dolls. They have garden sections. They have a grocery store section. They have a pool section. They do a lot to keep them active. They have a very nice outdoor space."

"I was in Westerwood for rehab. It was close to friends and family. The staff was very good. It was very clean. They have activities, game activities, they take you outside, sometimes movies, and I was pleased with that. They had a patio and a courtyard. They had physical therapy there as well."

They have laundry service. They have activities and transportation for visits to the doctor. There were residents playing cards, and they had a gymnasium."
