"Brookdale is very nice. The room is very spacious but not large enough for my husband's wheelchair to move around, and includes a living room that we furnished. It has a wood-type flooring, which is best for him as a Parkinson’s patient. The staff is caring with nurses available 24 hours a day, and a doctor and an LPN available once a week. They have a beauty salon, a workout area, a beautiful dining room with fantastic food, and lots of family space for people to sit and have outside parties. "

"My grandmother was a resident at Danbury Senior Living for over a year before she passed away. During her stay, I have to say the staff were wonderful. From upper management to the line staff, you could tell they really wanted what's best for their residents. I have to also say the food was spectacular! I know they talk about a "fine dining experience" but I wasn't expecting it to truly be such. The food is definitely high quality and I would say better than most restaurants I've been to. The chef personally would come out to check to see how the meals were. She is definitely a rockstar and a great asset! The servers are also very tentative to the needs of the residents. Moving your loved ones into a facility is often a hard decision but I knew my grandmother was receiving great care and great food. I would highly recommend Danbury Senior Living to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones. Thank you for everything! "

"We toured Harrison on 5th by Senior Star. It's very convenient for everything I like. It's brand new, and obviously, it's going to be clean, but it just seems so perfect and shiny. The sampling of food we had was excellent. They seemed to have an excellent food staff. Everybody there was very, very friendly and nice, and looked ready to receive guests. They have a little workout facility right on the same floor that we're looking at, and it looks out over a nice view of the river. And so, you had a nice look out. It's close to OSU hospital, like two blocks away. All of the things were included in the price, but they did have a $900 per second person fee, which seemed like a lot. But when you get all your meals for free and all of that, it doesn't seem unreasonable."

"My mother moved into Bickford of Worthington. I'm very happy with the care that she's getting there. It seems to be very friendly, individualized care, I'm communicating with them, they're easy to get a hold of, and they seem really willing to cooperate with the family. I'm visiting there about two or three times a week. At first it was outside, and then had a room inside when the weather got bad. The staff is very nice, very helpful, very friendly, they always tell me what's going on with Mom, and tell me humorous things when interacting with her. She has a studio and I haven't been able to see it, but I did see it in a video once, and it seems a nice size. It seems to be adequate. They do crafts, they play games, they do her nails, they post them on their Facebook page, it's nice when I can find my mom, and on their website too, I think they post pictures. They do have a little courtyard in the back, it's fenced-in, and in the summer they have a big front porch that you can visit on when the weather is nice. She does physical therapy twice a week, they have someone that comes in, we had to get a doctor's order, but they have somebody there from some outside group."

"The rooms are good, it’s great you can control your own temperature..you can do some of your own cooking! My sister is very happy about that! The food they make is good also! Staff is very friendly and helpful!"

"Ganzhorn Suites is so brand new, they didn’t even have residents yet in the new area. They’re pretty much all memory care and try to make it feel like their home. They are the first place I've seen that has an induction stove in the common area. I did like that they have an area outside where people can go, but they can’t escape; they had on bracelets. "

"The staff is very caring and compassionate, and the facility is very clean. They are even providing farm to table food. I am so blessed that my parents are living here."

"The Grove at Oakleaf Village seemed quite clean. We had lived in the neighborhood prior to having it recommended to us. Once we went over and visited/had our interview, it seemed like they would be the right choice for us. They take care of our laundry. I was told there are three meals a day, plus evening snack. To my knowledge, there's 24/7 coffee. I hear there are activities for the memory care person. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. They would take state assistance, which is Medicaid."

"My mom is now at Grove City Senior Living by Traditions. The one thing that I liked about it was that the pricing was all-inclusive. So whether my mom's care needed to change or whether the type of assistance that she needed altered, we knew that we were not going to have to come up with another thousand dollars a month on any given month. It was a set amount to be able to at least get started and understand what's needed. I also really enjoyed the facility itself. It was very, very clean and well laid out. I like the various sitting areas that they had around the facility. So when people come to visit, they want to take them out of their room, and it's not always right there in the memory care area. There are areas upstairs we can take and have a private visit. There are probably four or five different areas where we can take my mom to have a private visit with family and whatnot. And I really, really like that option. All the people that we have been dealing with, and all the administration and everything, are wonderful. However, when we went into memory care, we knew that there were issues, but we didn't realize that they were going to ask us to pay independently for some extra days of care for my mom. So that was the only disappointing part, but the people we worked with even in that regard were great. They have different types of exercise programs, arts and crafts, and occupational-type stuff, and I like that. They have activities for them to do on their own. There are all kinds of different stuff for them to redirect them and give them something to do with their busy time when their brains aren't working right. With all the care that they're giving, the structure, and all the things that are there, and knowing the comparison of some of the other facilities that we visited that aren't as nice, I would have to say Grove City Senior Living by Traditions' pricing is very good."

"The tour we had of The Ashford of Grove City was very good. It's a very aesthetically pleasing place. They have a very good coordination team for activities for memory care patients who need that next level of engagement. The staff member who gave the tour was amazing. She went over everything and answered all my questions. The rooms were good. They're big enough. They each have their own bathroom and private areas, so that was nice. The dining areas were huge and very open. They have plenty of room for a lot of people. It's a very well put-together place. They're very well-spoken on the issue, too. They know what they're talking about, and they know the answers to all the questions and that kind of stuff."

"The lady who did the tour at The Avalon of Lewis Center was good to follow up later with me. She reached out to me several times and they even brought something by my door and left a little gift, a book, on how to pick communities, and things like that. She also followed up with me through email and phone calls multiple times. I thought the tour was great. I liked the facility. It was very clean. It smelled good and it was well-maintained. It was the closest to where we lived so I was considering it during the time that I was looking for my dad."

"The Carriage Court of Grove City looked nice. They had recently painted the entire interior and were replacing all the carpet, so it was looking nice. I toured a couple of the rooms where people were living and how they had them decorated, and they looked nice and they looked spacious. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very nice, I liked her a lot. She was very, very helpful, she kept in touch with us, and gave us all the information we needed. I saw their dining area, it looks nice and clean and it was big, but I did not try the food. I saw a bunch of the residents getting on the shuttle bus and heading out for lunch. So they're excited about that, that was fun. They've got a lot of activities scheduled there. I met a bunch of the people that worked there and everybody was friendly. The facilities looked very clean. However, it was a little cluttered because they were still replacing the carpet but the section they have done looks nice."

"My mother has been here for 13 years, and my dad was there until he passed away. It has all the elements from independent living, memory care, assisted living, to a health center all on one campus. It's nice and large, and there are some newer areas, but overall it's aging and certain areas are not kept up. It's fairly economical for long-term care with a pretty good variety of facilities from exercise facilities to memory care. I've never had any trouble with any of the staff. They've been very good to my mother and work really hard. They don't have a wide variety of menu items, but they've refreshed it, and the food is very good. They upgraded the dining experience overall, including table settings. Their activities are cruise ship quality."
