"We were at Senior Star for two months in an apartment and very happy with it. The staff was very good, wonderful people. They provided cornmeal breakfast, and during the evening, we were pretty much on our own. The food was excellent. They had a gym and a lot of activities throughout the day, though we didn't utilize any of that. If people are looking for that kind of lifestyle, this place would be excellent. It was clean, and the people were very nice. "

"My parents knew about Trillium Place because some people that go to their church live there, so that was how we chose to look at it. We were only there for a few hours, but it seemed very nice, the rooms seemed nice, the staff was friendly, and it seemed like a good place. The rooms were a decent size, they were clean and updated, so that was nice, and the facility had a lot of nice features too. There were grounds to walk around. We got to eat there and the food was good. "

"Springwood in Westerville was very quiet, very accessible, and clean. The staff seemed to be very accommodating. They have different trips that you can go on. They bus people to various places and they have a lot of activities onsite. They have all of the exercise types of things that you can use. The place that has the meals is right across the courtyard from the independent living. It's in the place for assisted living and you can take advantage of the meals there monthly."

"My mom has lived in this community for a little over a year. I visited several communities in the Westerville area, and knew this was the one from the moment I walked in. The director has been there for over 10 years, and this stability appealed to me. She is extremely approachable as are most of the staff. The rooms are spacious and the food is decent. I especially like how many activities there are for residents. I am at the community a couple times per week, so I am able to keep a pulse on things. As with any community, it is helpful to have an advocate helping your senior navigate. Any issues that arise, have been worked through in a respectful way, with my mom’s needs being the highest priority. I would choose this community again."

"I will move into The Village of Westerville. The first thing was that the facility manager invited me and my friend to have lunch there, and the food was delicious. It's very nice on the first floor, and the courtyard at the back. I'm very impressed by the whole facility. Everyone was friendly. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They had a small refrigerator and a small stove. The building is built like a square, with a courtyard in the middle. They also have seating spaces in front of the building and different places outside."

"This facility is a really wonderful place for your loved one! They have a locked memory care next door as well as Assisted Living and Independent living in their main building. Staff is always friendly and truly care about their patients. Suzi in activities always has lots of fun things going on for the residents including many different musicians who come in the building for entertainment during the week. I have been impressed with all that they have to offer and they have even begun recent updates to the building which are turning out beautiful. "

"My mother has been here for 13 years, and my dad was there until he passed away. It has all the elements from independent living, memory care, assisted living, to a health center all on one campus. It's nice and large, and there are some newer areas, but overall it's aging and certain areas are not kept up. It's fairly economical for long-term care with a pretty good variety of facilities from exercise facilities to memory care. I've never had any trouble with any of the staff. They've been very good to my mother and work really hard. They don't have a wide variety of menu items, but they've refreshed it, and the food is very good. They upgraded the dining experience overall, including table settings. Their activities are cruise ship quality."

"I moved into The Hamlet on Darby. What I like best about them is the single-floor plans and the attached garage. I have a two-bedroom apartment with two baths. They also have some two-floor townhouses. They don't really have activities; we just have places to live. We have a gazebo, but everything else is pretty much like living in your regular house. My interaction with the staff has been fine. They're mostly for maintenance."

"They were very welcoming at Brookdale Marysville. It's big, and when you walk in, you see the dining area and the entertainment area. The staff was very friendly. The food was good and the dining area looked like a large entertainment area. There was a piano in there. They have activities like Bingo, outings to different places to eat and shop, exercises classes, and church services. It's an older facility."

"The staff is very caring and compassionate, and the facility is very clean. They are even providing farm to table food. I am so blessed that my parents are living here."

"I toured Verena at Hilliard. They're very neat, and they are a lovely facility. One thing I like is, that they have all these chairs outside for people to sit. It's nice and warm and it's just a beautiful interior. They have a bedroom and they have a living room. They're not furnished. So I had to take my own furniture, which is fine. They have a walk-in closet. They have a bathroom with a walk-in shower. They have a refrigerator."

"Stone Oak Retirement Resort was absolutely beautiful. It was great and I would love to have been there. I saw several different models and they were all lovely, but a little bit smaller than I would've hoped. The person who helped me was wonderful. She spent at least 2 hours talking to me and one of my friends. She was very personable, explained everything, gave us the tour, showed us the different places, and very thorough. The dining area was lovely. There were some basic amenities like a workroom and different little offices where you could go. They made it feel like it was a neighborhood. There's a hairdresser. It was fun, but it's the additional amenities that would've cost more money. There's nothing wrong with that place. I just can't afford it. There's a beautiful cascade of water coming down off of rocks with some carp at the bottom. It was such an inviting atmosphere."

"The Coventry Senior Living was a very new facility. So, it was in good shape and it was beautiful inside. They had a huge library space when you walk in. The lobby was nice, too. The person who took me on the tour was very thorough and very friendly. I felt like they answered all my questions. It was a place where I felt like I could put my parents and feel good about it."

"My father is at The Ashford at Sturbridge assisted living. He just wasn't happy with the food, but their chef is working to make that better. I've been talking with the director and such. The physical appearance is excellent. They've only been open a couple of years. I think it'll be three years this coming January. Their services are very good for both the aides and the nurses. They're very attentive. When I talk with them and ask if they could take care of something for my dad, they're always very willing to do that. I haven't eaten there since January of 2019 when they first moved in. The menu is varied, and I think some of my dad's problem is that he's 88 and your taste buds start to go when you get older. Things just don't taste as you remember them. They take them out to restaurants once in a while and out to shopping. They also have a little car show in their parking lot, and they've had the OSU alumni band come there and play. They have a lot of good activities. They have an onsite beautician and a library. My dad said the food has been very good the last two weeks and it's been three weeks ago since I talked with management about it. I know he's paying less than he would at some other places. They're very responsive. They've closed their facility due to Covid before the governor closed the State of Ohio. I feel that they're very concerned about the welfare of their residents. That's their number one priority and I'm thankful for that."
