My brother is at Primrose Retirement Community of Marion. It's been a long time that he's been there. He went there before I was appointed as trustee over his affairs. The place is fine. It's acceptable. I have no problems. He has a one-bedroom unit. It's assisted living, but he's at a level six, so he's more than assisted living. He's got a unit of his own. It's comfortable and it's clean. I have not tasted the food, but I haven't heard anybody complaining about it. He's secure and safe. There doesn't seem to be any serious shortcoming in his care. The staff is good to the extent I interact with them. I don't interact with them very much. It's expensive, but I haven't found any other places that are significantly less expensive. It's kind of standard for the business.

Buyer beware. Management is very rude. My relative doesn’t get the attention they deserve. Food isn’t that bad that’s about the only positive or I’d give this place zero stars!

The Staff working there are very friendly every time we have visited. We have tried the food a couple of different times, which tastes very good. The building is big with a lot to do. My husband and I enjoy ourselves every time we are there.

Primrose had everything in one place. The director of nursing met with us right away and told us everything that they could do so that helped us with the situation. I think the facility has 84 rooms. They had a lot of options as far as for single people or married couples with single bedroom, two bedrooms and studio apartments. The food is really good and they have a chef who offered the meals when we first went there.

My mother-in-law chose Primrose Retirement Community because it was next door to where she lived. It was big and new. They also had a free trial period for 30 days. From the rehabilitation center, my mother-in-law had to step down to an assisted living facility. Everything was nice like an upscale hotel. The staff were really good and kind. The rooms were nice. The activities were fantastic. They had a recreation room, ice cream parlor, movie theater, etc. The residents didn't have to go outside for these things. The residents were also taken for tours every now and then. However, the food was horrible.
