"The staff at Trustwell Living at Mansfield Place has been very helpful. I've had a lot of other things to do, so they have been taking care of my mother. They said she's joining in the activities. She's in a one-bedroom with a little living room, kitchenette, and bathroom. You have to supply your own furniture in it. I made it as sparse as I could, but enough that it's comfortable for her because she's in a wheelchair. I was just there this morning, and it's clean. The bed wasn't made, but knowing her, she'd probably been in and out of it five times. There are two or three different common areas. Some people were in the dining room and then there were two living room-type things. I know she goes to the dining room for the meals. The building is very clean, smells wonderful when you walk in, and does not have an odor about it. The staff is great."

"My mother is now in Magnolia Terrace and it's a nice facility. We needed to find mom a place, and they had an opening, so we got her in. The staff is very compassionate with mom and everything, and I think they're doing a fine job. The time that I was there, I thought the food looked pretty good. They had bingo, exercise, movie time, a word spelling game, and more. They've also given her a whirlpool job at the facility and they do her laundry."

"We liked the different room level availability at Kingston Residence of Marion, and the reputation they have for the quality of food. The rooms were very well maintained and very nice, and the housekeeping staff does a good job of taking care of the rooms. We've tried the food and it was high quality. They have a community-style dining area, like a restaurant, and it's very, very clean and organized. They have many activities too. They have craft areas, entertainment areas where entertainers come to perform, an exercise program area, a chapel for Sunday services, and snacks available around the clock."

"Everything was fine at Sterling House. I have an aunt who lives there and she is doing really well there. The rooms weren’t big enough though for my in-laws so we didn’t choose this place. My aunt doesn’t quite need nursing care but the family is really pleased with how she’s doing at Sterling House. "

"The Staff working there are very friendly every time we have visited. We have tried the food a couple of different times, which tastes very good. The building is big with a lot to do. My husband and I enjoy ourselves every time we are there. "

"We visited The Willows at Willard. It's a very nice and clean place, and the people were very helpful and kind. I would 100 percent recommend them, and I would like to go there when I'm older. We looked at their independent living facility for my mom and we saw their nursing part too. It looked like a 4-star hotel, it's very nice. The staff that we met with were not pushy, they followed up but it wasn't like there was high pressure, and they answered any questions. They saw us two different times and took us through everything, they're very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information, and gave us ways where we can follow up and email them, which they answered promptly. They also offer house cleaning. It's all very nice and very well-run. They have what they call a clubhouse for independent living, and on Fridays, they have a cocktail hour where they have snacks, but not necessarily alcohol. Everybody that lived there could come to the community room where they have different activities like bingo, cooking classes, and different things. You can either be by yourself in your apartment or you can go down there and be with other people."

"I toured Primrose Retirement Community of Mansfield. It was very good. They have a very nice facility. It's probably one of the newer facilities. It's very well taken care of. The eating area was quite grand. You could order off a menu that type of thing. But they were multiple floors. Still, it was a very nice place. They had a refrigerator in the room, and I think that was it. Of course, they provide three meals a day, so other than a refrigerator, I don't know that you would need anything in your room. The staff who gave the tour was very informative, too."

"I was able to be a visitor on several occasions to Hillside Acres Nursing Home facilities. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the grounds. Besides looking clean, it also had a clean smell to it. I have been in others, that one you walked in there was a distinct aroma that I did not experience here.The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I observed inter-reaction between staff and the residents and never say anything that I didn't like. I was there as the residents were getting ready to go to supper and everyone seemed eager to go to the dining area. I assumed that they enjoyed the food that was repaired for them. I liked the courtyards for the residents in the middle of the building, so that there were several entrances and exits to the courtyard, but no way to get out of the facility. The various residents had there area very personalized, even having plants and bird feeders hanging in the courtyard outside of the room windows. I was impressed in the facility and the staff members. "

"My sister-in-law moved into Wedgewood Estates. She's very happy there and we feel that her needs are very well met. The grounds and the facility itself are very attractive. The layout is kind of like in quadrants. There's a sitting area with furniture, two counters and several chairs, and then the rooms open onto that. They have their own room and then they can gather into this sitting/living room area that's very homey. They can gather there to play games or puzzles or wait for a meal. They have people come in and give lectures. Someone comes in to play the piano. They have book reviews and bible studies. They have very adequate staff, and they have people who check on the residents every two hours. They come in to empty the wastebasket, to gather the laundry, and to check on your heat or your room temperature. They have reasons why they come in, so the residents don't feel like they're checking on them. The residents feel like they're coming in to give them a service."

"My mom moved into the Randall Residence of Tiffin. The staff members are all very loving, caring, and helpful. The facilities are nice. They have lots of activities. It's just a nice place to live. My mother's comment on the food was that they serve a lot of fish, and she's not a big fish eater. But she's been happy with the food overall. They have church services where, twice a month, pastors actually come in. Otherwise, they have it on TV. They have bingo, a hair salon on site, a doctor on site, and weekly outings."

"I went to look at Elmwood Assisted Living at the Shawhan. They have a good staff that is helpful and caring. It's nice if you like nostalgia, as it's a bit retro. They have weekly outings, a salon, an ice cream parlor, bingo, and exercise. The food was good."

"This place was a god send for my brother. He could no longer live by himself and we found Dayspring. From the first visit with Erin we felt a comfort that our brother would fit in and be fine. He’s well taken care of. He gets fed well and to his Dr appointments. The folks at Dayspring look after him and he likes the staff."
