"For the past 4 years Kindred has been providing total loving care for our niece. At the age of 46 she was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's, several years prior to her caretaker mother's death. Following that death, our niece’s condition rapidly deteriorated and we could no longer maintain her in a home setting. After shopping around we determined Kindred to be the best solution for her, and entrusted her to Kindred's care, which has proven to be the absolutely correct decision. Kindred personnel have attended to the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our niece as she has continued to slip away from her children, friends, and us. Kindred staff always interact with understanding, with tender personal physical care, with comfort, and with love … knowing that she is slipping away. Kindred could not have done a better job. "

"We really liked Brookdale Marion. We tried to place our mother there, but when we took her there, she had some behavioral issues, so they were not able to keep her. They did follow up with us after that, though. I would really recommend them, but they just couldn’t handle people with behavioral issues. The unit was like an apartment. It was a private room. The facility was a locked unit with 12 rooms. The facility was in very nice shape before, but they were finishing up with the remodeling. It was looking very nice with lots of different options to get patients involved. "

"We liked the different room level availability at Kingston Residence of Marion, and the reputation they have for the quality of food. The rooms were very well maintained and very nice, and the housekeeping staff does a good job of taking care of the rooms. We've tried the food and it was high quality. They have a community-style dining area, like a restaurant, and it's very, very clean and organized. They have many activities too. They have craft areas, entertainment areas where entertainers come to perform, an exercise program area, a chapel for Sunday services, and snacks available around the clock."

"The staff is amazing. My father suffered a massive stroke and we took him there for care during his final few days. The staff was caring, kind, and prompt with his care. The team was attentive to my father and to our family. Couldn’t have asked for better care."

"I found an assisted living home and I just moved in. This is a great place and it's called Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care. They have beautiful small units. I'm in a one-bedroom apartment and I get three meals a day. I get assistance whenever I needed. Right now, I'm sitting down in my one-bedroom apartment, and I can't get up. There's a cord I can call, and they'll help me get up and get over to the bed. They're friendly, too. There is a nice fridge, a microwave, a sink, a walk-in shower, closets for clothes, room for a bed, a chair, and a couple of tables. There are levels and I'm at the top level, which is the most expensive. These levels are going from four down to one, one being the least expensive where you can take care of yourself mostly, and four is me, who's just out of two months in the hospital and I need all the service I can get. I would recommend this. It's an awful lot of money, but it's worth it. It's comparable to other facilities around this part of the country. They're all pricey."

"We toured Willow Brook Christian Village. The staff was very professional and very caring. They seemed to be excellent. We tried the food and it was good. They had a nice open dining area. They had an outside patio, a game room, and a snack area, and they had outside traveling."

"My friend is at the memory care of The Inn at Walnut Trail. It's a very nice setup with gardens on the outside, it's very clean, it's very new and very pretty. The rooms are very new, well-kept, and newly painted. The staffs were very friendly, they each came and introduced themselves to her and who will be taking care of her, so she had an idea of who would be who. I thought that was very nice. They're also very nice to her so I didn't have any problems with who's going to be working with her. They had all kinds of activities, they do rumba, and different mind games like soduko, word search, and crosswords. There are also exercises for them, dancing, they have different people come in like singers, they take them out on field trips, and they go out to eat. They have a variety of different things. They have their own chefs there, the food is done three times a day. Everyone comes out of their room to eat, they don't stay in their rooms. They're kept busy during the day and they only go back to their rooms for rest periods and to sleep. So they're keeping them active all day. The food always smells wonderful when you go in. I like that it always smelled nice, clean, and fresh in there."

"My father was in Memorial Gables Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, and he's home now. He was there for two months. They are amazing. The staff was friendly, they kept me updated on everything. I had no issues whatsoever. It was a private room and right beside a window he could look out, get window visits and things like that. It was very, very well kept. There are flowers planted outside and places for them to go."
