"My friend is in ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. The people there are super nice and they treat you like you're the only person there. Even though they're short-staffed, which every place is, they give it their all and they made her feel a lot more welcome and not so much a burden there and that was a feeling she needed. They help her get up to go to the bathroom or get up to do anything. The cleanliness looked real good. What she needs, she gets pretty easy. I have not heard her complain about it. The staff seemed good. I've seen activities, and my friend said they got quite a bit there. I was just listening to what she has said and her roommate. She's happy with it, and it's working out for her."

"My sister is a resident of the Arbors, and she's doing well. They have enough activities, and I see a lot of people doing them. Her room is shared, a nice size, and clean. She's by a window. The food is good. They have some nice meals, and she can choose something different if she doesn't like it."

"My mother was in Delaware Court. It was nice, and it worked well for my mom. The staff was very caring, very helpful, and they helped mom get better. She liked the food, they had a good variety, and it was tasty. They had ice cream day, they would play games, they had someone come around and do crafts, and they made bracelets. It was a little expensive for us."

They provided my grandmother and other residents with the care that families would give to one another. The nursing home did a great job in contacting my family regarding visiting times and my grandmother's health status. "

"My mother is in Mill Creek. We chose it because it's 24/7 care. They have bingo; visitors who come in to play the piano, play guitar, and sing; and arts and crafts. The staff members are very nice and helpful. I'm very impressed with them. You ask questions, and they're right there to answer them. "

"We had my mom at Bennington Glen. The place is close to us and we know some people who worked there. The facility is nice. The staff are good and we liked them a lot. I think they are understaffed but other than that the people who do work there are very good. The facility itself is fairly new so it's well kept and well maintained. The rooms are small especially if you have two people in them. I think they could be a little bigger, but they are small. There is not a lot room for extra thing. They have a lot of activities about four to five different activities every day. "

"My mother moved into the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus at Delaware. It's very close to home and everything seems to be OK. The only thing is they share a bathroom, and it's semi-private. They seem to keep them pretty busy. They play bingo, there's singing, and she doesn't complain about the food."

"Willow Brook Christian Home has twin singles or duplex, stand-alone double houses for full independent living. They have a restaurant on-site, so if you don’t want to cook, you can go to the restaurant. They also have a one-story building with two- and three-bedroom apartments. They also have a three- or four-story building that has apartments, an assisted living area, and limited health care. They also have a dementia ward. In other words, if you go there, they can take care of you all the way through. The interesting thing about Willow Brook is whether you’re in the twin, singles, or any of the apartments, they all have the same floor plan. Their fees are very reasonable, too. "

"Previous comments made were before the new administrator came. The new administrator has over 20 years of Nursing Home Care, and he is making incredible changes. The activity calendar is full of more events, outings, and games to keep all the residents busy and engaged. New positions have been created to help the workload among employees and to increase productivity and results. The food served is hot and fresh. I barely eat cooked carrots, but their's are delicious! The nurses genuinely care for the residents and their interests. They get to know them and understand their likes, dislikes, families, and who they are. Whenever I come in to see mom, there is always laughter carrying through the halls. Over the last year, many amazing changes have developed. I would suggest anyone to send their mom or dad here. Not to mention, it is one of the more affordable homes. And for your information, the home is a not for profit and receives no county monies. They are of only thirty three county homes left in the state of Ohio. I am extremely impressed with the changes in care for aging adults."

"My husband is in Crestline Nursing Center. He complains about the food, but I don't know how it is. He's okay with the staff, and they're acceptable to me. They're giving him rehab, he's in a semi-private room, and there's another man there with him. The dining area is down the hall, it's large, but he eats in his room. He can go play bingo, and they've got televisions for them. The atmosphere is nice."

"My mother in law came here for 2-4 weeks of rehab following surgery for a broken hip. When she was released from the hospital she had been up out of bed doing physical therapy. Doing great! When she was transferred to Kenton Nursing and Rehab the surgeon's orders were to wear compression stockings for 2 weeks, physical therapy 5-7 days a week. She was to use her incentive spirometer every hour. So it begins...she was left in bed, FLAT ON HER BACK for 2 weeks with no compression stockings, no spirometer and no therapy. When family questioned this they were told that she just had hip surgery and she now can't bear weight on that leg, they would get her a spirometer because the one she came in with was nowhere to be found, and that therapy would be in to do arm exercises (hip surgery, remember). After another 2 weeks passed she got her spirometer. Never did see compression socks. She began having shortness of breath, lung function deteriorating according to chest xray requested by family. Now therapy begins. Patient is now complaining of knee pain. After another 10 days or so an ultrasound was done showing a blood clot in her surgical leg. I guess the compression socks might have been a good idea from the get go. Now she is made to be back in bed flat on her back again for 2 more weeks. Still complaining about knee pain. X-ray showed arthritis. Now therapy is done in bed, when she had any therapy. Still complaining about knee pain. At one point she screamed in pain when her leg was twisted when moving her. After a week or so an MRI was finally ordered due to her family's insistence. Complete tear of her ACL, torn meniscus (and arthritis). Still flat on her back, short of breath, therapy on her arms. At the FIRST care conference (at the 100 day mark) the family was told that she had lost 38 lbs since she arrived. One third of her body weight! A couple of weeks later the family asked for a chest xray. Now she has pneumonia and UTI. Back in the hospital. Thank God. This nursing home and rehab center is a FILTHY, run down mess. Patient only saw a nurse if they were passing meds. Other staff came in only to bring COLD, questionable food, and fill her water cup. If someone you love ends up in this place take any steps necessary to get them transferred out. Did I mention filthy, stinking, run down, and old outdated bathrooms, beds, call lights. Holes in the walls, in need of MUCH repair."

"I'm pleased with Heartland of Marysville. My mom is currently residing there, and I'm really happy with the care that she’s receiving. They go above and beyond. They have a salon, activity center, and books. The rooms are very clean, double occupancy, and small. "
