"My experience was a one of under staffing. There were several times it took literally hours to speak with a nurse. On several occasions my uncle would be need attending to and not receive it for a very long period of time. When I brought up my concerns with the nurse in charge I was treated rudely. Having volunteered at nursing homes before I was fully aware this wasn't normal or acceptable. I had to go to his doctor, and the owner of the facility before I got any helpful information. Shortly after a meeting with the facilities directed more staff were hired. For the most part the rooms were kept clean. There were some problems with my uncles possessions being stolen.The physical attributes of the facility were just fine and very accommodating. I just found the staff to be unhelpful and not capable of the duty put on their shoulders. "

"Crestwood Care Center is a very soothing place. The facility is very clean and everything was nice and calm. They have a very big area with beautiful birds. They had beautiful music playing all the time. They really took good care of the residents there. Nothing was rushed. The tour was a very nice experience. I really like the cleanliness and how calming it was. "

"Upon arrival the staff was right there and very friendly and welcoming, every one from administration to nursing assistants and housekeeping. I came to Kindred mainly to have physical therapy following a total knee replacement. The therapists were all great and encouraging. They smiled at me giving me peace of mind that they wanted to be there doing there job to help me, that was big for me since this was all New to me and the pain was a very real hard pain that I had not experienced before in my leg. They all understood that and worked with me accordingly. I was only in for 11 days. The hard work and encouragement by not only just therapy but any employee that saw me in the halls walking, just a keep up the good work or you are doing so good, encouragement helped to push me on and able to go home so quickly. Thank you so much to every one for all you care and help and encouragement. I deeply appreciate it. "I visited Marion Manor Nursing Home Inc when I worked as a youth leader. It was an old facility. The atmosphere was bright and cheery. The staff were friendly. They did a great job at keeping the place clean. There were also activities available. "

"Heartland of Marion was where my mom lived. The place was clean, bright and smelled good. The staff were friendly and they called me whenever they noticed anything unusual. They had crafts, games and puzzzles. The staff were doing a good job at keeping the active residents still active. The residents who were disabled were also involved in other programs in the facility. "

"My dad was in Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. They were wonderful, they gave him great care, and really cared about him. They treated him like he was their own father. I couldn't have asked for people better for him, and the rehab was great, he did wonderfully and he got back to getting around. The facility felt like a community for him. They have a lot of activities and things that bring everybody together."

"Morningview Pointe was a very old place. It was not well-maintained. When I visited, I felt sad when I walked inside. It was small and congested. There was not enough space for the residents to move around. Cleanliness should be improved. The place should have more open spaces and should be tidied up "

" This nursing facility may be small but it is the best one that the Tiffin area has to offer . When my mother was there they took excellent care of her,was down there in her room talking with her a lot... just wonderful wonderful nurses and aides at the time my mother was there ! "

"We visited The Willows at Willard. It's a very nice and clean place, and the people were very helpful and kind. I would 100 percent recommend them, and I would like to go there when I'm older. We looked at their independent living facility for my mom and we saw their nursing part too. It looked like a 4-star hotel, it's very nice. The staff that we met with were not pushy, they followed up but it wasn't like there was high pressure, and they answered any questions. They saw us two different times and took us through everything, they're very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information, and gave us ways where we can follow up and email them, which they answered promptly. They also offer house cleaning. It's all very nice and very well-run. They have what they call a clubhouse for independent living, and on Fridays, they have a cocktail hour where they have snacks, but not necessarily alcohol. Everybody that lived there could come to the community room where they have different activities like bingo, cooking classes, and different things. You can either be by yourself in your apartment or you can go down there and be with other people."

"My mother went home because she's through with her therapy. Everything was okay when she was inside the facility, and we have the same people coming in the house now to take care of her in the evening. The staff were hospitable and very responsive to my mom's needs. It's also a clean place. My mother was happy and contented, although she complained the food was bad. My mother was a cook and a supervisor in a cafeteria. She never went to the dining room; she ate in her room. I think they should improve on the taste of the food. Perhaps make it better and warmer because she was two doors from the kitchen and it came cold. "

"I was able to be a visitor on several occasions to Hillside Acres Nursing Home facilities. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the grounds. Besides looking clean, it also had a clean smell to it. I have been in others, that one you walked in there was a distinct aroma that I did not experience here.The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I observed inter-reaction between staff and the residents and never say anything that I didn't like. I was there as the residents were getting ready to go to supper and everyone seemed eager to go to the dining area. I assumed that they enjoyed the food that was repaired for them. I liked the courtyards for the residents in the middle of the building, so that there were several entrances and exits to the courtyard, but no way to get out of the facility. The various residents had there area very personalized, even having plants and bird feeders hanging in the courtyard outside of the room windows. I was impressed in the facility and the staff members. "
