They're giving him rehab, he's in a semi-private room, and there's another man there with him. The dining area is down the hall, it's large, but he eats in his room. He can go play bingo, and they've got televisions for them. The atmosphere is nice."

"My mother went home because she's through with her therapy. Everything was okay when she was inside the facility, and we have the same people coming in the house now to take care of her in the evening. The staff were hospitable and very responsive to my mom's needs. It's also a clean place. My mother was happy and contented, although she complained the food was bad. My mother was a cook and a supervisor in a cafeteria. She never went to the dining room; she ate in her room. I think they should improve on the taste of the food. Perhaps make it better and warmer because she was two doors from the kitchen and it came cold. "

"My friend is in ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. The people there are super nice and they treat you like you're the only person there. Even though they're short-staffed, which every place is, they give it their all and they made her feel a lot more welcome and not so much a burden there and that was a feeling she needed. They help her get up to go to the bathroom or get up to do anything. The cleanliness looked real good. What she needs, she gets pretty easy. I have not heard her complain about it. The staff seemed good. I've seen activities, and my friend said they got quite a bit there. I was just listening to what she has said and her roommate. She's happy with it, and it's working out for her."

It was very clean when you walked in the door, and the structures seem like it's been kept up very well. The layout is just basically out. The room is square and has a bathroom attached to it inside a door, so each room has a bathroom. It has a bed, a dresser, a TV, and a table for the patients to eat their meals on."

"I come in regularly and have visited quite a bit during this past year. The building did not smell like a typical nursing home. My friend enjoys being here and loves the other Residents and staff. My friend complains of the food but it smells wonderful-her diet doesn't allow certain things so that's for the best. The building is bright and I have found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. I know this is a hard time for these guys and gals to be working in this industry. "

If Im not there every day-he has to wait long periods of time for someone to answer when he asks for a nurse, and many times when someone finally does show-they say "Oh wait, I don't do that you need a nurse-let me try to find her" "

"The staff is very friendly and the living spaces are kept clean and organized. My aunt is happy with the activities that are offered and assistants, and enjoys here own room with everything she could need. The residents are encouraged to mingle and join in many hosted events, and occasionally they offer tours to various locations. My aunt enjoys sitting by the large bird cage filled with colorful birds and watching them fly about. we looked into several places prior to this decision, and I think that this was the right decision to make. The cost is reasonable and I know she is happy spending her final years there. I would recommend to anyone dealing with this tough decision to look into Elmwood. Having to move a loved one to a nursing home is a big decision and everyone has different reasons for doing so, but you must always keep their best interest in mind when choosing a new home. "
