I come in regularly and have visited quite a bit during this past year. The building did not smell like a typical nursing home. My friend enjoys being here and loves the other Residents and staff. My friend complains of the food but it smells wonderful-her diet doesn't allow certain things so that's for the best. The building is bright and I have found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. I know this is a hard time for these guys and gals to be working in this industry.

I enjoyed the facility was very clean and not much of a smell. The transport to Dr appts really helped as I'm unable. Danny is such a sweet girl and we enjoyed her company. The aides and nurses were great as well. Molly is such a blessing we thank you all.

One thing I liked about Oak Grove Manor was that they had en suite bathroom with a tub, and I very rarely see that. The place was small, so it's not so overwhelming. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They take care of the daily meds, and they have an RN on site 24 hours. I was pleased with staff. I want to see how it's going to look after they update the place. The administrator contacted us immediately about the availability for my grandmother.

I also saw Oak Grove Manor. It's a nice facility when we entered. I think I did smell urine when I was there. It's an older facility, but they have been doing some renovations. I remember we took someone we were visiting in a wheelchair down to the dining room and they were very kind, nice, and attentive.

Oak Grove Manor has improved greatly over the past few years. I find that the facility is always very clean when I go in to visit my grandmother. The staff is very friendly; this includes their receptionist who sits at the front desk. There is always a variety of activities going on to keep the residents occupied. My only concern with the facility is that some of the nurses and aids smoke right outside the back doors. They are too close to the doors. This allows smoke to blow into the facility very easily. I am also concerned about the amount of breaks and the lengths of the breaks the staff take to go out and smoke. I always see someone out there smoking when I come into the facility, and a lot of times they are still there when I am on my way out. I do believe their reaction time to a patients call light could be quicker. Overall though, I have been satisfied with this facility.
