Very happy with The Laurels . They took wonderful care of my Mother and she enjoyed being there and can’t wait to go back . Thank you so much for treating her like one of your family She also said she loved the food said it was much better than mine lol

My mother was brought here from a deplorable nursing home for rehabilitation. I needed somewhere safe and clean with the best care and The Laurels of New London was amazing! I went home at night with peace she was being taken care of. Staff and nurses were friendly and caring. She had no complaints. It had an “at home “ atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

The staff at The Laurels of New London is always helpful and friendly. The nurses all seem very knowledgeable and competent. The doctor and other medical staff seem very personable and extremely competent. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are congenial and really seem to know what they're doing. I have never had a negative situation with any of the staff. The food is quite varied and there will be something for everybody. You should never go hungry around here. Plus there is a menu of items available most anytime. I am something a connoisseur of water-taste. I have sampled water all over the lower 48 states. The water at the Laurels of New London is positively agreeable. The rooms and facilities are very clean and neat as they are seen to every day. I highly recommend this facility to all.

Our family discovered that the Laurels is very compassionate and caring about their patients. The Staff is easy to interact with and they are knowledgeable about what they are doing.

The Laurels is very small; there aren’t very many beds -- maybe 50 at the most -- and the staff has been very good. They take more time and seemed more caring. It seems very clean, and I am very happy with it. I think they’ve done really well with my dad. He plays bingo and cards, and they have an ice cream social every once in a while and music. The dining area was very nice, but he doesn’t care for the food as he is a very picky eater, but it looks good to me.

Overall the facility looked very well ran. The staff was very kind and upfront even crack jokes with my grandmother. The facility was very clean and well maintained, with no apparent flaws on the surface. One thing to note that I really enjoyed seeing was this little notice board in around the welcoming desk. It gave information like what the weather was going to be like and what the upcoming holiday was going to be, as well as the current date. It seems like a basic thing to have but the styling of this one stood out to me and I felt that it was a important thing for the local residence.One of the downside to me was that the room seemed very small for two people to share. It appeared they shared the dressers that were located at the front of the room, and as for personal effect they seemed to have to be small to really be kept. My grandmother had to store most of her books in the corner by her bed. I was happy to see that she could at least have a moderately sized TV as she does like to follow some of her favorite local sports teams. My only other complaint was the staff seemed a bit small at the time, although it could just be a case of me not seeing everyone there.
