"Overall Brothers of Mercy is a great facility. The facility is clean, the staff friendly and the care in general is very good. People seem to be very attentive to the needs of the residents. It was difficult for my Grandfather at first; however the staff did make it easier. They were always pleasant and everyone knew his name. As time went on he felt more and more at home. They provided excellent pill management and the food service wasn't too bad either. Also, the rehab facilities are top notch. In addition the other amenities on the campus are great as well. Overall, it was a pretty positive experience. The one major downfall is that it is another facility and the outside and inside is not as nice as the new ones going up. You can tell you are at an older facility. However, the trade off is well worth it. "

"We've placed dad at Williamsville Suburban LLC. Everyone has been open, honest, and transparent. They've been great to work with, and great with follow-up. They went out of their way to allow my father to come in, allow my father to grow, and they're making concessions for him based on his needs. His room is basic, but it has everything that he needs. Everyone there is very friendly and very accommodating. I met with the activities director and he explained to me all the neat things that they do like outings, walking, and other stuff. They're taking care of my father, feeding him, and providing him with whatever he needs right now. All in all, I think it's a great place and I would recommend it to other people."

"St. Francis Home of Williamsville was pretty good with OK cleanliness. Their food wasn’t the greatest, but it was OK. The staff was friendly and attentive. "

"My wife was there because she had a fall and home and was afraid to walk. the staff was terrific in getting her out of bed and walking. before too long she was confident enough to come home. they even helped make arrangements to have people come in to help when she was home. They were a blessing."

"I have signed up with Canterbury Woods. Canterbury is a continuing care community, which is what I wanted from the start, and when I went there, it was perfect for me. Everything was available. There is a heated saltwater pool, there's -- it's not exactly a gym, but it had all the equipment, you know, workouts, a beauty shop. The rooms I looked at were quite large, eleven hundred square feet. That was something I was looking for. I had lunch there. It was just phenomenal. It was like going to the best restaurant. I've been in or out of restaurants that weren't as good. They had a cafe there also. That was included in the five hundred dollars of your money that you give every month, it goes to your food so you don't have to bother with paying for it. You just go down and order. A huge facility, it just had everything, and the thing I liked about it was that the independent people looked independent. They were not pulled in, they were walking around, a couple of them were walking their dogs. They had an excellent library. Their library was for intelligent people, they have a cultural center, they're going to be building a 250 seat theater next year. I just felt very comfortable there. The only problem with it, and I'm fortunate enough to have been able to afford it, but it is well out of the reach of most people, but if you could afford it, you're living in luxury."

"I think the staff at Elderwood is good. The rooms are basically like hospital rooms. The cleanliness is OK; it is satisfactory. They have activities, but my mother-in-law has not taken advantage of them because of physical defects, but she will in the future. "

"My mother was a resident at this facility and many times when I visited I was very upset to see that she was left lying naked with no bottoms on, in full view of an open door. Our family certainly provided adequate clothing. In addition, she was also left with food trays where containers were not opened or so far away she couldn't reach for them. She was often wheeled into a large dining room and left alone unattended. "

"The care and compassion at the Memory Care Unit at Absolut Care of Aurora Park are truly extraordinary. From the moment my mother arrived, the staff treated her with such tenderness and dignity. Every nurse, CNA, caregiver, and staff member we encountered were not only professional but deeply kind and attentive. They cared for my mother as if she were their own, always ensuring she was comfortable, safe, and loved. The staff not only cared for my mother with incredible kindness and dignity—they cared for me as well. They were consistently supportive, always took the time to keep me informed, and made sure I felt seen, heard, and included every step of the way. Their thoughtfulness extended far beyond medical care; I genuinely felt at home while my mom was there, surrounded by people who treated us like family. The facility itself is immaculate—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged to meet the needs of each resident. What struck me most was how well cared for all the residents were. You could see the genuine respect and affection the staff had for everyone in their care. The staff at this Memory Care Unit are nothing short of angels. Their warmth and unwavering dedication brought us peace during a very difficult time. I will always be grateful for the exceptional care my mother received and for the incredible people who provided it."

"My mom is staying in the Elderwood Senior Care for a couple months, but she'll be getting out next week. She's getting excellent care in there. The facility, the staff, and the food are all top-notch. "

"My mother is in Beechwood Homes & Wesley Rehabilitation Center. It has different levels of care. It's the same facility where she is for rehab, so the transition was easy. As of today, she's still in the rehab center, but at the end of the week, she will be transferring to the skilled nursing. Some of the staff are more caring and patient than others. Some of the food items are decent and some are not. There's a courtyard. It's a clean facility. It's near restaurants and near hospitals."

"We were blessed to be able to care for our mom at home until she was 88. We were able to achieve this through enrollment in the PACE program when she was 84. Our mom thrived here! She enjoyed the activities, was comfortable with the staff and had wonderful dedicated nurse practitioners, nurses, and aides who grew close to her. We gathered with our family to say our final goodbyes this past July. This group of caregivers cried with us. They were like family! We were blessed and grateful that mom transitioned very peacefully. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were addressed. Our hearts were heavy when mom had fallen and we could no longer keep her home, but through OLV and the Mercy Nursing Facility, we were given another year-and-a-half with our mom! God bless all of these professional dedicated caregivers for this gift to us! We remain sincerely and humbly grateful!"

"I believe that this facility offers everything possible in human comforts that is available in a senior nursing home. They offer individual, private rooms with a fllatscreen TV and half doors for residents privacy!! They also offer a beautifully appointed resident gathering room with many comfy chairs and a couch along with a big screen TV which is ajacent to the open floor plan dining room . The dining room is large and open and well lit.. It is right next to the private kitchen so that it affords the residents actual conversational opportunities with the kitchen staff !! The main kitchen also prints out menus for three months at a time and allows each resident to choose his/hers meals.. The floor kitchen is also well supplied with ice, yogurt, ice cream, and an assortment of beverages and crackers and these are open to the residents upon request .. The residents who have been approved by the nursing staff are also allowed to eat in their rooms with individual room trays being provided to those residents .. Also for residents, staff and family members is a large and well appointed cafe which has a large menu which changes daily!! There is a nursing station with a large window overlooking the dining room which allows the nursing staff to view the residents and to be available in a moments notice in case of emergencies .. This facility also offers free laundry services with a washing machine and dryer on each floor with aides in the laundry area to do the resident's laundry but is also available to the individual residents or their families .. There is also a large cleaning crew to keep the facility clean and in working shape as well as a maintenance crew to keep things in working order !! An experienced security crew is on site 24/7 and only a phone call away !! The facility also provides a large entertainment area on the first floor with a big screen TV and comfy chairs and couches and a gas fireplace (one is also on each of the floors in the entertainment area and opens up to a nice patio area so that residents and staff and family members can enjoy the outdoors, weather providing and Also has an outdoor area on the back of the facility which has a picnic table on a nice grassy area!! Well I've given the most extensive report on this facility except I forgot to mention that there is also available a Physical Therapy unit !! This concludes my information on this facility and may I just say that I would highly recommend it to any person who is in need of a full service nursing home and resident physical therapy patient unit.. "My interaction with the staff has always been positive. I have been allowed to see my relative in a private room. Guest must wear masks to protect themselves and the patient. My relative has good food and does fun activities which he will share with me. This home sometimes has pastors visit on Sundays."
