"Blakehurst Retirement Community was absolutely gorgeous. It was warm and fuzzy feeling with top-notch food and phenomenal staff. They were so warm and inviting, cordial, and delightful. The apartments were spectacular, and the grounds were gorgeous. Better than any other retirement community we visited in the area. "

"Our experience with Pickersgill Retirement Community has been very good. The admissions person that helped us was very good and very friendly. My mother-in-law has a one-bedroom and a one bath, with a living room, and a small kitchenette. The staff has been great so far. I have had no issues. Occupational therapy has been working with her. She said the food is very good. They give her her medication and if she doesn't report to the meds station, they go to her. They have a lot of activities there, like church services and outings. They're very supportive, they have a lot of things going on for her, a lot of help if she needs it, and they do her laundry and clean her room once a week. I'm pretty satisfied with them. It's very reasonable."

"The rooms at ManorCare Health Services – Ruxton were excellent. The nursing assistants were very friendly. The rooms are wonderful. "

"My grandmother use to live in this Facility and it was the greatest investment she ever made. She was very independent however when my grandfather died the house began to be too much to keep up with so she moved here. It was an older person's home, assisted living and full nursing home. There were many activates for the residents to do as well as chefs on duty almost 24/7. Residents had a few different apartments to choose from such as 1 room or 2 rooms, it was an 18-story building that was always kept immaculate. Within the past 2 years they had put on a very large extension that had a large pool and a rooftop putting range. My grandmother passed away a year ago however she received the best care and had great experiences at this facility. It was a pricey place to live however the care was second to none and I know there are some very rough nursing facilities out there. "

"Broadmead Retirement Community was a wonderful place for my mother. She enjoyed going to the dining area and interacting with its wonderful staff. She even loved the food. The medical technicians, housekeeping, drivers were all friendly, competent, and professional. . She enjoyed the many activities provided, and the friends that she made. I was very glad that she was able to have this lovely experience in the latter stages of her life. As my mother's needs changed and adjustments had to be made to her care, the administrative staff responded promptly and appropriately. I always knew that she was being very well cared for. "

"My dad is at Maryland Masonic Homes. It is a nice facility with really caring staff. My father has dementia, so he's in good health, but he is not in his right mind. The place is very clean. Because of COVID, the dining is now shut down and they do in-room dining, but normally there are three restaurants here. Normally the clients eat in a restaurant, they can have guests, and you can have a meal with them, but due to COVID restrictions right now, there's in-room dining only. There are all kinds of activities, but again, right now due to COVID, social distancing helps very little with doing a lot of the activities. They have therapy and a fitness room. They also have therapy on site. They play different board games, and they do puzzles for the clients to help them with their memories. So, they try to do things like that. The services he gets is probably a "four," and he gets a lot of services here."

"We've been very pleased with how things have gone with Presbyterian Home of Maryland so far! It's a beautiful community, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and caring. In particular the Director of Nursing and the Marketing Director, were both incredibly helpful and always available. The staff here do a great job working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients, and they've really helped my loved one do a complete 180. "

"I was able to visit ManorCare Health Services-Towson, and it was very good. I moved my grandfather to this facility, and they took very good care of him. Kudos to the nursing staff and the special services. "

"Gilcrest is a wonderful facility, from the visitor accommodations including complimentary snack bar, luscious gardens and contemplation paths, and cozy, home-like environment, to the professional, respectful care given to all residents. There is even a non-denominational chapel available if one needs to pray. Admittedly, visiting my family member was not easy she was terminally ill and it was emotionally upsetting to see that she was unable to move on her own and feed herself. The staff at Gilcrest, however, made sure that they were available if I needed their assistance with grief counseling and always made me feel at home in the facility. The level of care given to my family member was superb. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times during her stay. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs help caring for a loved one in need of nursing, hospice, or rehabilitative care. "

"There’s one staff member there, I actually don’t know her exact job title, but she is incredible. Tami. So knowledgeable, so helpful. Took time to briefly explain the facility and everything offered. We were just visiting to see the place before my mother is placed somewhere. I am so glad that Tami was in the lobby when I came in. Perfect person to run into. I could also tell that residents and staff alike all knew and liked her. They all said hi as they walked by and Tami took the time to actually bend down and have a conversation with a resident in a wheel chair. I obviously don’t like the idea of my mother having to go to assisted living but this one feels great. I hope the rest of the staff are as personable and welcoming as Tami."

"The grounds are absolutely beautiful at Glen Meadows. The people there are very friendly. They really made my sister and mom feel very much at home and welcome. They kind of live independently but they can get care if they needed. They have a dishwasher and a full kitchen. They have activities and planned outside tours as well. It is very clean. One of my coworkers recommended it to me and I have recommended it to another coworker. "
