Gilcrest is a wonderful facility, from the visitor accommodations including complimentary snack bar, luscious gardens and contemplation paths, and cozy, home-like environment, to the professional, respectful care given to all residents. There is even a non-denominational chapel available if one needs to pray. Admittedly, visiting my family member was not easy she was terminally ill and it was emotionally upsetting to see that she was unable to move on her own and feed herself. The staff at Gilcrest, however, made sure that they were available if I needed their assistance with grief counseling and always made me feel at home in the facility. The level of care given to my family member was superb. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times during her stay. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs help caring for a loved one in need of nursing, hospice, or rehabilitative care.
