"Katherine's Place at Wedington was a lovely place. They were very knowledgeable; they took us on a tour of the place, and it was very impressive. They do dementia patients and regular nursing home. The private and semi-private rooms are well appointed. They were a good size, and you could bring your own or some of your parent's furniture in if you wanted to. We were there at a time other than lunch time, but we did look at the dining room; it was very nice. "

"My father was at Westwood Health and Rehab after his stroke and he has to have assistance with getting around and in the bathroom. He seems to be in good hands there and is well liked by the people who are taking care of him, even in difficult moments because he's always been pretty stubborn. They work with him really well. He's by himself in a private room. They have semi-private rooms there also. His room is kept nice and neat and he's got a minimum amount of furniture. He's got whatever he needs there. He's extremely picky about what he eats, but they make an effort to put in things for him that he likes. I like the way the staff members treat my dad. They're friendly to him and they treat him like family. They have activities, but he chooses not to be involved with anything other than rehab. The rehab room and exercise room happen to be across the hall from his room. There are physical therapists there and they bring their people in and work with them. They have a room for crafts and things of that sort, and they have people come in to entertain and play music. It's an older facility, but it seems to be kept up pretty decently."

"My husband is in Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. Compared to a lot of the long term care, the place seems neater and cleaner. When my husband pushes the button for a nurse, it sometimes is not answered at all. It seems to be disorganized. The food seems to be pretty good. My husband's room is kind of like a typical hospital room. It's private and has a TV, so he's set. He can decorate it in any way he wants which is important to him since he's surrounded by familiar things. He's doing physical, occupational, and speech therapy."

"My dad lived at the facility for almost 5 years until recently. He had absolutely no complaints and neither did my family. All the staff on all 3 shifts were extremely helpful! They went out of their way consistently to make sure my dad was in the best care possible! Would recommend to anyone looking for skilled or long term care! Could not thank them enough. "

They are a team that has one purpose and that is to provide top care to those who enter their doors. The facility is older but you can not judge a book by the cover... they are better than many of the newer facilities I have been in in the past. When I see my friend, who lives at Windcrest Health & Rehab, she is always smiling and knows she is safe and feels at home. She loves the staff and other residents."

"I truly liked this facility over the others (would prefer my father could go to one of the assisted living alzheimer units) as the staff was very upbeat, knew patients, and patients seemed very happy. Whole facility was painted in light colors which made you feel good, there was plenty of artificial lighting as well as ample outside light coming in adding to the cheeriness of the place. If we have to put my father in a nursing home (now called Long term / rehab centers) then this would be the place. "

"My husband entered the rehab part and was moved to the hospice part. I could not have asked for better care as if I was doing it myself. The nursing staff all the way to the CNA were absolutely wonderful and showed my husband tremendous respect and treated him with dignity. "The CNA’s here care a lot for each resident, you would never think at an older facility they would give such great care but we love the care my dad gets in the men’s unit here! The nurses are outstanding as well! We can’t help but notice how interactive each employee is here! "

"My husband moved to Promenade Health and Rehab. The place was cheerful, friendly, and clean, and overall seemed to be bright. They have more of a related relationship with the patient. They try to get to know them. They try to build a rapport with them so that they feel comfortable about being there. They try to respect them, and I can see that. Some of the staff hug the patients. They laugh with them and make them feel more comfortable about being away from home. They do have regular activities, whether it's holidays or there's always games or movies or even church services on Sunday if needed. So there's enough for people to do if they're interested in doing it. The food is good. The only thing that I would say is sometimes it just takes them a little bit longer to get the meals out. They don't come out at the same time every day, but they get a wide variety. They have seafood, they have shrimp. They have just anything you could think of. They always have a frozen yogurt ice cream thing that's always available for the patient if they want. That part I think was better than some of the other places. The value for money, they're about the same price as everybody else. I think the whole industry's high."

"We had to move my husband to Innisfree Health & Rehab, and he seems to be pretty stable right now. The staff is very nice and I can tell they are knowledgeable about what they need to do. Although sometimes, it takes them a lot longer to have somebody help you with things you need help with. The double room he has is probably larger compared to the ones I saw in other places. They had redone part of the building and they're in the process of finishing that up. And they said the rooms are even larger, which would be good. I tried the food and I was satisfied. For now, my husband is eating in his room because of these changes. So hopefully when they get over to the other side, they'll have room for them to go out to eat. They give out a newsletter each day to let you know what they have for lunch, and then there's an alternative. You get to choose your meal that way. Most of the time, the food is good and has a decent variety."

"My husband is now at Bradford House. It's exceptional. They are very caring. I couldn't ask for a better facility for him. He's happy there. They let me know everything that's going on. And I just can't say enough good things about them. He's in a semi-private room, but it's very nice. They keep the facility clean. The staff is super friendly. Food and dining are exceptional, too. They take into account his dietary needs. Like right now, his food needs to be ground for his swallowing, so they do all that for him, and if he needs help eating, they feed him. They're just great."
