My father is in Shiloh Health & Rehab. I am just in love with them. They are wonderful. I cannot recommend a better place to anybody. It is very nice and very clean. I was able to taste the food. It is like anywhere else. It is just what it is. They have to do what they have to do, but none of the residents care for it. It is not home cooking. However, they go above and beyond their duties. Actually, they are very involved with the residents and treat them as family.

Shiloh had two beds to a room., but it was separated by a curtain, and each had a TV. There was a central desk at the base of all the halls, so they could keep track of people easily from there. But, I heard it had problems with the state, and it was farther away. There was one hall devoted to short-term rehab. It was a well organized, newer facility. I liked it. The facilities were really nice. However, I did not see many activities there.

Shiloh Health & Rehab was clean. We looked at their rooms, and they were set up very nicely. They do have private rooms available, but most of them are semi-private. The place is beautifully landscaped. I didn’t see a thing wrong with it, but it simply didn’t fit what we were looking for. We wanted more dementia care than they would probably be able to give.

I truly liked this facility over the others (would prefer my father could go to one of the assisted living alzheimer units) as the staff was very upbeat, knew patients, and patients seemed very happy. Whole facility was painted in light colors which made you feel good, there was plenty of artificial lighting as well as ample outside light coming in adding to the cheeriness of the place. If we have to put my father in a nursing home (now called Long term / rehab centers) then this would be the place.
