I visited this facility

I toured Village on the Park Rogers. When you walk in, it's very grand and beautiful. But the room was small and dark, and that was what turned me off, and they didn't have anything else available. I wasn't going to go back there. The staff were really great and very accommodating. They've called and checked up with us to see if they could do anything or help us with anything. They have activities. They have a salon and that kind of thing.

The cottage that was shown to us at Village on the Park Rogers was 1400 square feet. It was lovely. It was like a brand new house and it had more space. The rooms were larger. It had a full kitchen and it was very modern. They had a library, but it wasn't as extensive as the other facility I've been to. They have several outdoor spaces and they were lovely, too. They were well-maintained, and there were chairs in several of them that a lot of the residents would sit outside in those areas. The person who took me around was young, energetic, very knowledgeable, and very personable. They invited us for lunch and the food we had was excellent. I would have liked to have had the recipe for the entree that they served.

I liked everything about Village on the Park Rogers. I would consider putting my dad there. Their rooms were a little bit bigger. I liked that. The layout was larger. They had two or three courtyards. They had another one outside for families. All the stuff was similar to the other place, but maybe a little bit better. They had the courtyards, the TV rooms, and the game room. They actually had a therapy room, too. It was a therapy room for outside therapists to come and work in. Everything was really clean.

Village on the Park Rogers was beautiful, it was awesome. It was clean, their staff was friendly, and they had a lot of options. It felt welcoming. The rooms were good, I saw a few different rooms. They were spacious for one person. The staff who gave me the tour is caring and very welcoming. The dining area was kind of like a fancy restaurant. It was set up with tables, chairs, and menus where they can order off the menu. They get certain selections every day, what they have for each day. They choose and pick, and a table service brings it to the folks, or they could have it delivered to their rooms. They have their own movie theater. They show movies at certain times of the week, and they have outings. They've got card games, puzzles, and stuff like that. They've got an exercise group that meets at certain times, and they've got an exercise room that they can go use if they're capable of going on their own. Also, they have outings where they go shopping because they have their own little kitchen, and they can bring their own microwave and stuff like that. Their rooms are not furnished, so you have to bring your own furniture. The facility was immaculate, it was like going into a fancy place.

The directors, Kylie and Madison, took us on a very extensive tour of Village on the Park Rogers. They were just two remarkable people. I don't have words for them. They were very knowledgeable. There was not one question that I asked that they did not have an answer for. They were very thorough in discussing exactly what sort of amenities the Village on the Park Rogers had to offer. It was just a wonderful experience. These two people were just so helpful, and empathetic in terms of understanding how difficult it is to move forward on something like this. They were wonderful. They took a lot of time ensuring that I had the chance to see all they had to offer. I was very impressed. They took us to the rooms on the memory care part, and I thought the rooms were incredible. The rooms were spacious and they had everything that a person could want in terms of living in that community.

The tour I had with Village on the Park Rogers was very thorough. I was able to see a cottage in the independent living, as well as the assisted living area. The food was done very well. It's a relatively new facility and the marketing director did a great job. She was very well-informed, enthusiastic, and helpful. They had a workout room that's well equipped, gathering places for group puzzles, and movie nights and all were very, very good. The cottages were adequate. It's very well-organized and very resident-focused.

Village on the Park Rogers was very light, happy, and helpful. I would 100% move my mother there if it wasn't $700 more a month. Everyone that worked there was very happy and seemed happy to be there. All the residents seemed happy and happy to be there. Everyone was engaged with the patients and doing something for them or with them. I did not get to try the food, but I got to see it; it looked very good. For the memory care, they have menus with pictures that they can eat from. Any time of the day, they can have whatever they like. It's not a set schedule or a set meal. They can pick for every meal. The dining area had lots of windows and was kind of in the middle. It was light and cheerful and kind of reminded me of a catered dinner. The tables had nice settings. It was nice, and it was not like a cafeteria type situation. It was more like a formal dinner setting. They have a physical therapist that is there. They have an ice cream machine and snacks all over the place that they can just grab, like fruit or muffins or different things like that. They had everything pretty much that they could possibly need. They have a separate bathroom, closet, a little kitchenette, and a sitting area, which I found very different than any of the other places that I visited. They are similar to the independent living apartments, except they didn't have the oven and the microwave. The staff told me that the independent living and the memory care apartments were the same layout. It had a huge closet and lots of storage. It's more like a little apartment. Everything was kept very nice, very clean, and did not have an odor whatsoever. It smelled fresh, and it looked clean, light, bright, and friendly. There were happy paintings on the wall and three-dimensional things on the wall that they could touch. There were awesome stuff all over the place to help the patients. The only person that wasn't friendly was the person when you first walk in and you talk to, but everyone else was amazing. She did not tell the administrator that I was there, and I sat for 30 minutes waiting for them to show me around. She's unfriendly and not very helpful. With the exception of an unfriendly receptionist, the other people that dealt with the patients were all great.

My mother is at the Village on the Park Rogers. They have a lot of activities, and it's a beautiful facility. The people there, so far, have been outstanding. I would absolutely trust my mother with them. The whole facility is quite nice. The rooms are nice, and there's a variety. What I saw was very good. I didn't have meals there or anything, but it looked and smelled good. You have a choice instead of, "here's what you get." The value for money is good. You get what you pay for. They have devotionals, a Sunday service, a rather large library, a beautiful main area with a gas fireplace, and several outdoor areas. It's really good. They have inhouse rehab, which is important to her recovery.

The Village on the Park Rogers was good. I don't have any complaints. I just think the other place's staff was above and beyond amazing, so they're hard to beat. The Village did very well though. They're nice and clean. The staff was also personable. The food was pretty good, and I actually liked it better than the other place. It's very nice, a little upscale, and very clean. The staff was great during the tour. They answered all of our questions. I just think that they act a little more like they're from a nicer place. They're a little stuffier there, but not in a way that's not personable. Maybe the people in the other place just seem homier. I liked that there's a little bit of variety to the food. If you didn't want something that they were offering, they had so many other choices. I like that. You're not going to make everybody happy with one plate, and I love that they know that and accommodate them.

We chose Village on the Park Rogers for my uncle because the staff was very receptive and engaging. The food was excellent and the chef even came out and talked to us. They did a really good job with the food. The facility is new, very clean, and spacious. They have a movie theater, lots of activities, a salon, four different little garden areas, a nice big open fireplace and sitting area, and a happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the residents. It's very neat.

My mother moved into Village on the Park Rogers last May. Everybody was very friendly, everything was nice and clean, and they seemed to care about the people. They seemed to be great. We went together a couple of times, and she was hurrying us up to get back there so she could go eat. She was in a hurry to get back there for dinner.

My mom moved into the Village on the Park Rogers. The COVID thing has impacted a lot, but they used to have a lot for the residents to do and the staff is very good in encouraging her to go to the dining hall. She doesn't like that they check on her frequently, and she complains about the food since the lockdown happened. Aside from that, we've been really happy. It's just that we can't go in there and she can't go anywhere. They would do exercises, worship services, bingo a couple times a week, they have a theater that the residents can use, and they also play dominoes. They also go on excursions to different places. They could improve on the food, and the cost is pretty high. She had some complaints, but overall I still think that it's a good place to have your loved one.

We visited Village on the Park Rogers. The price was rather high, but the people were absolutely kind. We met the nurse, housekeeping, and other staff members walking down the hallway; they were very kind and considerate. It was very clean. They offer a dining room experience, like you order off a menu in a restaurant. They allow pets if you're able to take care of them. I was overall really impressed. It was a newer facility, and it was a gated community as well.

Our tour at Village on the Park Rogers was fine. However, the independent would be very difficult to manage when the weather is bad because they are separated. For someone to have to leave their cottages to come for meals and activities in inclement weather would be a drawback. The only thing inside the place to use all the amenities has to be assisted. That just wasn't going to work out for our needs for independent living. They have the same activities as other places.

My aunt has moved into Village on the Park Rogers. It is great. It is nice, clean, and it is really good. I like the staff members. They deliver her medicines to her on time and they're also responsive. If she needs a nurse, she just tells them and the nurse is there within a few minutes. They're great and they have a doctor that will take care of her. Also my aunt has her cat with her. They have a movie theater and a library; they have bingo, dominoes, and outside trips to Wal-mart and restaurants, they have people come in and put on music shows, and they have exercise classes. She likes the food a lot; it is pretty good. Village on the Park Rogers is probably one of the most expensive ones in the area, but they're probably the best. They're good.

Village on the Park Rogers' assisted living seemed a little less personal than the other place I visited, but it was good. The place was nice and a little larger. The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were nice and clean. The dining room was also nice, clean, and seemed organized. It was an open sitting area.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is a resident of Village on the Park Rogers, and we think it's wonderful. She's in a cottage that's 1,600 square feet, she can bring all her furniture and everything with her. So she's got her own little place, she has two meals provided, she has a housekeeper, a gardener, and all that included. So she's loving it. They don't really have activities planned for independent living. They offer food services. Right now the food isn't that great -- I just complained about it a couple of days ago -- but that's maybe a temporary thing. Their facilities are beautiful.
