"My mother is now a resident of Mt. Carmel Community, she's really happy there and she is living alone in a cottage. Our overall experience with them has been excellent. They have this sweet group of adults that's there and they love each other. It's a gated community, they tend to her needs, it's personal, and they help out quite a bit. They have a bridge club, they have libraries, they eat together, socialize together, and play games. They also have three meals daily, and they'd deliver to her door if she wants that. Sometimes she'd stay in the common area when they play bridge and socialize. Her cottage is beautiful, it's a 2-bedroom that's well-furnished. You bring your own furniture but they provide plans, the grounds are well taken care of and it's well-kept. They have wifi, cable, an exercise room, there's a common area with a fireplace, and they replace the appliances when they break down. My mom sometimes eats the food they provide, and she also makes her own meals sometimes. The facility is beautiful, it's wonderful."

"I moved my uncle to Garrett Woods on the Saturday before Easter. It was the only place that wasn't trying to sell me something. They told me what they could do, and I didn't talk to the sales people when I went in. I talked to the head nurse at the assisted living side, and she showed me the whole facility. They've been wonderful and helped my uncle with all kinds of stuff. They have a wonderful activities director, and the people in the front office are helpful with anything. They've all been exceptional. The cost was less than a lot of other places. My uncle has a one-bedroom with a bathroom ad a small kitchen, and they come in to clean it every week. It's nice and I like it. I would live there."

"The Good Samaritan Society - Hot Springs Village is only a mile and a half away from my house so I can visit my wife easier. I have no complaints at all and the care is great. Right now, she's in long-term care and rehabilitation so she's getting physical therapy to get her walking and they're doing good. Her room is clean and it's a good size. She has a bed, TV, and a lounging chair. It's an excellent facility. She doesn't complain about the food, and she's picky so it must be okay. They also have bingo but usually, when I'm there, my wife is not taking any activities, so I have no idea what else. They have a big room with a big TV though and some kind of card games that they play. The whole facility is nice. It's nicely laid out with the flowers and the lawn and the whole bit. They also have a place for families to meet, but usually, you just go into their room. I think it's great. If there's a problem, they call me. I'm only a mile and a half away, so I can be right over there."

"My aunt has moved into The Crossing at Malvern, and we're very happy with it. They're very personable. They help in any way they can, and it's just been a great experience, so far. There's transportation to and from local doctors, a beauty salon, a laundromat if the residents want to do their own laundry or they do it for them, and cleaning of their rooms and stuff weekly. The staff there is wonderful. The place is super clean. The rooms are not large, but it's a very homey feeling. It's like a small apartment, and it's nice. I know they are playing bingo."

"We're on the waiting list at Four Seasons Residential Care Center. It's an assisted living facility, so it's more like renting. It's not like a nursing home. The only person I met was the administrator, who was very nice, easy going, and good to work with. It's small, so they don't have a lot of grounds, but the facility has been renovated, so it's very nice and clean. It's easy to get to and close to town. I've seen suites that have their own bathroom and closets, and you provide your own furniture. Every room has windows. They're fairly small, but they have everything they need. So far, I would recommend them. We chose it because it was the closest one to where my sister lives."

"We have selected the Manor Benton. They had an opening and no wait list. The room has a big walk-in closet, the bathroom is near the bedroom, and the living room and the kitchen are separate from the bedroom. The layout is great and nice. The food is good; Mom and Dad like it, and Dad is kind of picky. They have theater and outings to the senior center in Bryant, go shopping at the local Wal-mart, play bingo, and have a hairdresser that comes in who will do the ladies’ hair and haircuts for the guys. It has a lot of stuff to offer residents."
