Danish Village in Rochester, MI is a retirement community for low income seniors. The facility is located in a very nice neighborhood, close to lots of shopping. The community has transportation buses for its residents. The facility contains senior apartments. There is staff available, should a resident need assistance. The facility is secure and visitors need to be buzzed into the building. I have talked to many of the staff members and they always showed concern and compassion for their residents. The maintenance staff always responded quickly to requests. This facility does not have a lot of "extra" amenities that some of the other facilities contain, but contains the basics for a safe, healthy environment. Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a four, the common areas a four, the residents' rooms a three point five, the staff a five and the quality of care a four. Overall, I'd give Danish Village a rating of 4 stars because it is one of the nicer facilities that I have visited that are for qualified low income individuals. One thing that always stands out when I visit is the friendliness of the residents.

About Danish Village in Rochester Hills, Michigan
Living at Danish Village is a bit like living in a small village. A caretaker lives on site, and staff members know all residents by name. A variety of programs bring residents into the community and the community into the building. A residents' association plans parties, community dinners and talks by visiting speakers. Danish Village sits on 12 beautifully landscaped acres. Residents enjoy the terraces, patio and fountain, and some of them plant flower or vegetable gardens.
